Chapter 4474: Deathhowl Revenant Wolf
Nadia gazed at her paws as she lifted them up. Her claws turned red. She did a scan of her body, seeing that there were so many changes, but she had still retained her Quasi-Mythical Tier bloodline. It was feeble, but it carried an immense potential, waiting to burst out when she entered the Empyrean Beast Stage.
As a Quasi-Mythical Tier Beast, she could also sense the bloodline curse. It made her frown as it had reformed, causing her to understand that she wouldn't be able to give birth again or evolve until she made fractures in it, but she wasn't worried since her master was a master at breaking things.
"Ancestors, many thanks for watching over me~"
Nadia could see the dead souls. She turned around to see all of them and bowed.
"Good child!"
"You carry the hopes of our clan. I wish you all the blessings the world has to offer."
Many wished her well, but unfortunately, they were powerless to be heard. With the reawakening, only a few of them remained as they lost form and their voices.
Nadia walked out of the Deathhowl Crypt and went back to the statue to hear about the truth of the bloodline curse.
However, the statue never activated even after she remained there for a few hours, leaving her fuming.
When she finally exited, she saw the entire Nether Springs Wolf Clan having gathered.
"This is..." Yin lost her breath.
"A Deathhowl Revenant Wolf...!"
The Patriarch looked stunned.
Nadia had truly succeeded, flipping their minds. It was true that they wished for her to succeed, but they didn't expect that to happen. Not only was her bloodline too mixed, carrying too many traits, but she was also Quasi Mythical-Tier, which should've made the evolution even harder to accomplish since the bloodline curse would react stronger the higher the bloodline purity is.
Now that they saw Nadia alive and even more exquisite than the Deathhowl Revenant Wolves they had seen in murals and imagery stones that had long turned to dust, retaining her previous bloodline traits, Yin and the others all began to bow, their head nearly touching the ground.
Nadia now carried a look more majestic than the others.
Her existence now demanded obedience from the lower-ranked beings, and they were willing to give if she could lead them to be saved.
"Rise."
Nadia uttered, "You will all become Deathhowl Revenant Wolves one day when my master and I find a way to break this bloodline curse. Until then, you need to stay alive. Don't leave this place."
"Don't worry," The Patriarch smirked, "Although the Deathhowl Revenant Wolf isn't a nether beast and can't use Nether Divine Totems, no one would dare to attack it. You should know."
"Mhm... the Deathhowl Revenant Wolf is truly... terrifying. I am... even more terrifying. However, I doubt anyone still remembers what the Deathhowl Revenant Wolf is capable of, so I'll go let the world know if the chance presents itself."
"Good!"
The Patriarch couldn't stop smiling. His frail body trembled with excitement. He didn't want to die anymore. Even if he could not become a Deathhowl Revenant Howl, he wanted to see Nadia break through the bloodline curse and become a true peak magical beast while leading the other wolves.
He was too old and perhaps tired, but he was willing to watch a show and take pride in it.
Suddenly, Nadia blinked.
"Where are my people? Have they left? How long has it been?"
"Oh, they will return. They have gone to the Shadow Dimension using the help of the Netherblight Star-Eyed Elk Clan, saying they are going to hunt some old witch who is a Divine Exalt."
"Mhm? Oh, Lilliana Rayton..." Nadia's brows narrowed, "I'm going to help them. Where should I go?"
"No, no, they wanted you to call the crow who is temporarily near the Netherblight Star-Eyed Elk Clan, and return home. They said they would be fine since that rabbit became an Exalt Beast using the corpses of the Exalt Stage Nether Devils. She is truly powerful. Now, even Late Stage Exalts would be hard-pressed to kill them even without the Nether Divine Totem."
"Oh... then I'll go call her, and we'll make it back together."
"Alright... but will you be fine?" The Patriarch frowned.
After all this, they couldn't lose her to the strangeness of the Nether Dimension. Even if there were no threats, there were beings that could counter her. After being suppressed for so long, they didn't believe that the heavens would let them go scot-free.
There will certainly be obstacles and tribulations they need to endure.
"Both Nyoran and I are capable of concealment. If we wanted to hide, no one could find us."
Nadia answered confidently before she turned around to leave, "Which direction?"
"Yes, go straight ahead. You should meet with the Netherblight Star-Eyed Elk Clan. They are the least hostile to us amongst the other clans ruling this region, so it shouldn't be a problem. However, don't ever disturb the true master of this region. Keep your might low."
"Mhm? You are not the rulers?"
"No, we are, but that existence practically owns this entire region but isn't interested in ruling it other than eating and sleeping. Without it, you could say the Nether Devils would've long exterminated us, bringing above Exalt Stage existences to eradicate us."
Nadia shook, "Eat? What does it eat?"
"Exalt Stage Nether Devils, of course. They have one of the most delicious nether blood. However, they're just snacks to consume every hundred million years. Every few billion years, it would go out to hunt a above Exalt Stage Nether Devil by itself. They're scared shitless by it and would hide in their regions, never coming out during that time of the century."
The Patriarch laughed, taking immense pleasure in their plight.
Nadia couldn't help but take a deep breath. It seems like there were still terrifying existences in the Nether Dimension. Fortunately, they hadn't come across one during their journey.
Nonetheless, Nadia bowed her head, "Many thanks for trusting me and allowing me to undergo evolution there, Patriarch. I will return this favor many times apart from leading the clan to glory."
"Good!" The Patriarch smiled deeply, "You have a great destiny upon you since you made it this far. Do what you need to do. We'll follow you when we're also ready to overcome our bloodline curse."
Nadia nodded, "If possible, can I have the Nether Springs Essence for my children?"
"Take, take all you want! Although it doesn't erupt anymore, it's nearly endless as long as we don't exhaust it for a period of time."
"Many thanks."
Nadia smiled gratefully and walked over to the Nether Spring Pools. She took out some containers from her spatial rings to store them. She had also taken her purple-black horn that fell and her flesh, knowing it would make good armaments and clothing armor for her children.
She wanted to take her materials to Sophie and have them forge them.
*Rumble!~*
However, the moment her paw touched the Nether Springs Pool, causing a ripple to spread across the pool, the nether essence within the pool began to abruptly tremble. The land quivered as though it was going to explode.
"This is..."
The Patriarch and the others were dumbfounded. It was a sight they had hoped to see for billions of years.
*Booom!~*
From the center of the Nether Springs Pool, a fountain of nether essence erupted.
*Booom!~* *Booom!~* *Booom!~*
The other Nether Springs Pools also erupted, leaving Nadia speechless.
"She... Empress Nadia is truly our savior!"
"This must mean that our destiny is no longer heading to a dead end!"
Yin and Yom cheered, causing the others to also howl into the skies with joyful tears. The King-Tier Nether Springs Death Wolves thanked Nadia with three kowtows and headed to the Nether Springs Pools to become Emperor-Tier Nether Springs Death Wolves.
Nadia had no idea how this happened. She just continued to collect nether essence, but this time straight from the eruption. She could tell it was much more pure and would be immensely beneficial to her children, making her happier.
