Chapter 4433: Natalya's Path
While Natalya hugged Davis as though she was going to crush him to death but couldn't succeed, Tanya also stood up, her sharp expression softening like a flower that bloomed in a dangerous region.
Mingzhi and the others also stood up. She gawked, becoming so speechless since this rogue never came out in these five months, but walked out of seclusion two days after Natalya returned.
Certainly, he didn't come for her specifically, right?
But it didn't seem like that as Davis also deeply hugged Natalya, showering kisses on her sweet forehead.
Davis then raised his head, looking at Tanya, who was prim and composed. He felt like he could always rely on her.
He eyed her to wait as he caressed Natalya's head, indicating that she wasn't going to stop crying anytime soon.
Tanya nodded.
Considering Natalya's cultivation was focused on obsessing with Davis, she could understand that Natalya felt the utmost fulfilling emotions a woman could possibly experience during this time, so she waited.
"Did you miss me?"
Davis asked as he lifted Natalya's drenched face. She instantly blushed from the embarrassment she felt from being looked at this close when she made her face a mess. How could she show an unsightly version of herself when she prides herself on showing the most attractive version of herself?
She quickly wiped her face with her sleeves and nodded.
"I missed you so much. I didn't think I would survive a few years without you. My heart ached for you whenever your image came to my mind. However, the longing also drove me stronger, allowing me to increase my prowess and finally become an Empyrean."
"Hmm. You did well. The truth is- I missed you so much too that I came out without finishing seclusion."
"Ah-" Natalya's expression changed, "Why...? You should handle the important matters first. I can come later."
"How can that be?" Davis raised his brows, appearing aggrieved for her, "How dare a husband keep his second wife waiting? She's the one who allowed him to survive from being beheaded by the first wife."
"Pfft~"
Natalya hid her mouth and giggled. She gazed at him with intense love and affection, wanting to kiss, but she took a step back, gracefully spun around, and gestured for Tanya to come.
Evelynn and the others were also full of smiles. They pushed Tanya over, causing her to feel embarrassed. Still, she walked towards Davis and seemed like she was going to hug him but instantly smooched him, causing Davis to widen his brows by the boldness but also reciprocate as he kissed her soft, velvet lips. He leaned over, causing Tanya to bend back, and their intensity made all the others hold their breath and curl their toes.
For Davis, he nearly trembled as though he was tasting a woman's lips for the first time.
Tanya was also surprised, but she became even more proactive. Who said that she didn't miss him?
Finally, Davis pulled Tanya up and moved back, their lips separating while a string of saliva hung over their lips. Tanya's cheeks were crimson, her eyes partly clouded. A small smile overcame her lips as she wobbled ever so lightly, causing Davis to hold her still.
"Blood essence rushed to her head..." Natalya giggled.
She grabbed Tanya from the back and brought her to the side, making way for Davis.
"Hello there, my beauties. If I have offended you in the past few months, then please forgive me."
Davis prefaced as he walked towards them.
"Why are you looking at me? I'm not angry..." Mingzhi pouted as she looked away.
"Is that so? Then I'll have to continue to offend you then."
"You-" Mingzhi raised her hand but ultimately didn't throw a punch.
She walked over and hugged him, feeling the sense of warmth that she wanted for a long time. She had also reached the layer limit, after all. There was nothing to do other than comprehend Laws and ensure the defenses were tight in coordination with the intelligence network, but the latter was mostly taken care of, so she was quite free after a long time, but there was no Davis, leaving her feeling lonely a bit.
As for Law comprehension, just because she wanted to comprehend something, she couldn't do it easily, like drinking milk. Without specific resources, she needed insights, luck, and time to comprehend on top of her comprehension ability. Just staying at home surely wouldn't be so helpful in this endeavor.
Davis abruptly pinched Mingzhi's soft waist, causing her to jump.
She couldn't believe how strong he was for
"Wait, why are you suppressing your cultivation...? It didn't hurt."
Mingzhi blinked at Davis, causing him to chuckle, "Of course, I'm not using force. I just wanted to make you scream as you expect a piercing pain."
"..." Mingzhi watched him move on Evelynn and the others.
To him, he was visiting them after a long time, so it didn't seem strange, but she felt strange. Her bodily sense told her that he was suppressing his cultivation for some reason. But it didn't feel like it either, almost as though he had regressed.
'Is he harming his body again...?' Mingzhi pursed her lips, wondering.
She activated her Heart Intent secretly, trying to see through his heart, but he cast a glance at her, causing her to instantly retract.
Davis greeted Evelynn and the others before sitting down and continuing the discussion.
"So then- where did my Natalya want to go without meeting me?"
"Ah- I just didn't want to disturb you or waste your precious time." Natalya walked towards him. While saying that, she practically sat on him and hugged him in front of everyone as though she was making a claim.
The others didn't mind. They knew Natalya would go first this time around. Even Tanya was aware. She was still out of it, though- not having expected to be kissed like they had been parched for a century in front of everyone else.
Myria explained the gist of their previous conversation, including the strengths of the Divine Exalt Stage and its hazards that could potentially hamper Natalya's path.
Davis also read through the jade slip before nodding with a curious look on his face.
"To think a mere Forsaken Yin Lotus Manual was this advanced. It must be fate that I found it in some street stall."
He lied through his teeth and turned to look at Natalya, "If Natalya wants to practice the Divine Exalt cultivation method, then I won't say otherwise."
"But-" Myria wanted him to say otherwise, "What Natalya has decided to do isn't just train in the Forsaken Yin Lotus Manual but change it almost completely by seventy-eighty percent. Otherwise, she wouldn't be able to focus her faith energy on you and vice versa. In fact, if she consumed faith energy from only you, then there's a chance that you will not have a good sleep for centuries- ah, not because of that but because your mind wouldn't be able to rest, tied to her Godskull and being siphoned upon."
Myria hurriedly corrected herself at the end, warning him.
Davis looked unconvinced, "I believe in Natalya. She made the Forsaken Yin Lotus Manual look like a child's book. Isn't that right, Tanya?"
"Yes," Tanya nodded, "At the very least, she claims there's a high chance she would've won the trials if the inheritance spirit hadn't kicked her out."
Davis chuckled, "We only need to get the cultivation manual from the old witch, Lilliana Rayton, and after that, with a bit of help, Natalya will surely be able to decipher and reconstruct the Forsaken Yin Lotus Manual for her own needs like we are doing for our Unfettered Earthly Reincarnation Scripture after researching countless other records and cultivation manuals."
Myria nodded lightly, "Yes... with this Divine Exalt Grade Manual, I think I can finally start writing down the Exalt Stage section of the Unfettered Earthly Reincarnation Scripture."
"Wait-" Mingzhi interrupted, "Does that mean you two are already done with the Empyrean Stage section of the Unfettered Earthly Reincarnation Scripture completely?"
