If Fang Zheng were in human form right now, he would have flipped the table. At least in Black Soul, he could kill some zombies, but what the hell is this world? Is it expecting him to do a Bear Grylls-style survival?
“Roar—-!”
Just then, Fang Zheng suddenly heard a fierce roar; he quickly looked up toward the direction of the sound. The sky was overcast with clouds, hiding everything from view. But Fang Zheng could feel something was weaving through the clouds…
“Huff!”
The next moment, Fang Zheng saw a dark figure burst out of the clouds, opening its gaping maw and diving toward him.
It had a body covered in scales, its front claws spread open, with wing membranes like those of a bat, and a long tail flickering incessantly with the creature's motions.
Was that… a dragon?
“Roar!!”
Faced with an astounded Fang Zheng, the red dragon roared again, opening its mouth, and the next moment, Fang Zheng saw flames shoot out from the Fire Dragon's mouth, rushing towards him.
Hey! You're really asking for it, aren't you? You dare bite me?!
Realizing that the Fire Dragon intended to attack him, Fang Zheng was instantly annoyed. He too opened his mouth wide and let out a powerful roar at the dragon.
The next moment, an invisible current of the Power of Time burst from Fang Zheng's mouth, whooshing into the sky. Immediately after, the Fire Dragon's flames seemed to rewind like a film, being sucked back into its mouth. The Fire Dragon, apparently not expecting its own fire to return, was taken aback and started to choke. Its body trembled violently, and then it lost balance and crashed onto the ground.
“I mean, what the hell is actually going on here?”
Looking at the downed flame-spewing entity, Fang Zheng was completely baffled. This place seemed like modern-day Earth in every way, but where did a fire-breathing dragon come from? Was this science fiction or fantasy? There should be some hint. And, what's with this world looking as if humanity is extinct? Does such a world really exist? And if it does, who is the “main character” here? Surely it can't be a dragon.
While pondering, Fang Zheng closely observed the Fire Dragon before him and quickly noticed the differences between them.
Although it looked like a dragon, its body structure vastly differed from Fang Zheng's. Despite the similar appearance, the specific body structures were entirely different. The biggest difference was that Fang Zheng's wings and front claws were separate: his wings were on his back, capable of folding at his sides like a bird, as well as fully extending. Moreover, his front claws were longer, able to support his body so he could sit upright on the ground.
The dragon before him, however, had its wings completely connected to its front claws, more like a membrane that stretches between the forelimbs and the body, similar to bats or flying squirrels. As a result, this Fire Dragon was unable to stand upright like Fang Zheng and could only move on the ground on all fours like a crawling creature. Furthermore, its forelimbs were puny and seemed more like auxiliary limbs.
“What's that? Can you understand what I'm saying? Hello? Dumb pig? Moshi moshi? Konnichiwa?”
Fang Zheng shook his head curiously, trying to communicate with the fire dragon. But to his disappointment, the Fire Dragon seemed unable to comprehend his speech and only raised its head to let out an angry roar, as though it were a wild beast.

You should know, in the Main World, not just any creature can be casually called a “dragon,” even those Sub-dragon species with some sort of Special Ability cannot be called dragons. A true Giant Dragon must possess superior intelligence, noble blood, and tremendous power–at least, you must be able to unleash Dragon Might.
For a dragon, the ability to release Dragon Might is the key to distinguishing the real from the fake. True Dragon Might can directly and unreasonably suppress those lower-level creatures on various levels. This means that without protection from an equal or higher Dragon Blood, or without equipment that can immunize against or defend from mental and soul attacks, no matter how powerful you are, you must kneel before a Giant Dragon.
Of course, as far as Fang Zheng was concerned, this was like the difference between a player and a GM. Got the first kill on a rare elite? Soloing a world boss? Heh, sorry, when a GM wants to ban your account, will you kneel or not?
