Fang Zheng had imagined many scenarios, but he had to admit, he never expected the one unfolding before him–the scepter that seemed to hover in midair was as though fixed in place, and no matter how hard Fang Zheng exerted himself he couldn't make it budge; instead, he ended up hanging in midair himself.
This was quite embarrassing.
Fortunately, Fang Zheng wasn't entirely out of options.
“Nymph!”
“Master? What do you command?”
“This thing is fixed in midair, and I just can't get it down. Do you have any way to handle it?”
“Is that so?”
Upon hearing Fang Zheng's question, Nymph paused for a moment, then after a brief silence, she gave her response.
“Master, I have investigated, and that magic item has become a pillar of two worlds. It seems to have been marked by an exceedingly powerful entity, and I will need some time to block its underlying permissions before completely shutting it down. Then, Master, you will be able to take the magic item. But…”
“But what?”
“During this time, you must not be disturbed or interfered with. As soon as I start hacking, it will immediately trigger the magical defenses and alarms there… So when I begin, Master, you must stand guard and ensure nothing gets close to or touches the magic item.”
“How long will it take?”
Upon hearing Nymph's answer, Fang Zheng furrowed his brows.
“Ten minutes! At the very least, it will take ten minutes!”
“Can I start a Sealing to cover it up?”
This was Fang Zheng's first thought. If he did not want others to notice his actions, it would naturally be best to move undetected with Sealing. However, when Nymph heard Fang Zheng's question, she hesitated for a moment before giving a negative answer.

“Alright, you have ten minutes! Also, have Black Katie send Nanali and the others back to the ship first to protect everyone else.”
If this had been before, Fang Zheng might have hesitated. After all, it was just him and Tilia against tens of thousands of Undead Spirits. But now, since the system had issued a quest, Fang Zheng had no choice but to steel himself for the challenge.
Not to mention, he was not entirely without a chance!
Before proceeding, Fang Zheng still had Black Katie send the others back to the ship to avoid accidents. Although he didn't know what would happen after taking the scepter, any problems that arose would only be compounded if those defenseless girls remained.
“Alright, Master, I'm starting the hack!”
Nymph's voice had not yet faded from Fang Zheng's ears when he suddenly felt the scepter he was clutching tremble violently. Then, an invisible wave spread out in all directions. Almost simultaneously, Fang Zheng felt, perhaps mistakenly, that the distant, faint sounds of pounding and shouting stopped abruptly, followed by…

The sound of a horn resonated.
They were coming!!
Watching the distant twinkling lights beginning to swarm like a massive group of fireflies rushing toward the square he was in, Fang Zheng felt a drumming in his heart but did not shrink back. He released his right hand and landed on the ground; then, in the next moment, the Holy Sword, Sky-Cleaving, appeared in Fang Zheng's hand–against Undead Creatures, this sword was indeed more effective than a vampire's.
But that was not all; Fang Zheng held the sword in his right hand while gesturing forward with his left hand. In front of him appeared a golden Summoning Array, and shortly after, a huge humanoid creature emerged, bathed in golden light and with wings. Wearing a simple robe, it radiated an abundance of holy spiritual light.
He had actually succeeded!

Looking at the angel that appeared in front of him, Fang Zheng also sighed in relief. This was his first time truly utilizing the Summoning System Spell he learned in the Main World, the Oath of Otherworld. Now, it seemed his luck wasn't too bad.
“Holy Sword Space, I need your help!”
Seeing the angel he had summoned looking at him, Fang Zheng immediately issued his command.
“I hope you can help me fend off these Undead Creatures' attacks. I need to break this barrier down, but I require time!!”
Listening to Fang Zheng's order, the Space Angel nodded without saying much. Then, with his hands crossed in front of his chest, the next moment Fang Zheng saw his arms transform suddenly into two long blades, burning with flames. Right afterward, the Space Angel spread his wings, creating a barrier that shielded Fang Zheng's side.
But Fang Zheng wasn't done. He continued his incantations, and soon summoned another Space Angel, this one with a dog's head, named Anubis. Its stature was much smaller compared to the Holy Sword Space, roughly the size of a human. Unlike the Holy Sword Space, Anubis wielded a huge sword.
If only you were Anubis, then I wouldn't have to be scared of anything, would I?
Glancing helplessly at Anubis he had summoned, Fang Zheng had to ask for its help again. Fortunately, to the angels, the Undead Creatures were their eternal enemies. Thus, Anubis didn't mind Fang Zheng's tone and quickly agreed to his request.
Meanwhile, the Undead Creatures had finally rushed onto the square.
“It's them who want to take the Divine Artifact!!”
“Kill them!!”
Contrary to Fang Zheng's expectations, these Undead Creatures weren't mindless as he had thought. Apart from their appearance, they seemed no different from regular people. Upon seeing Fang Zheng and the two angels beside him, these Undead Sailors immediately charged at them, brandishing their weapons and roaring in anger. Seeing these Undead Creatures, the two angels summoned by Fang Zheng naturally didn't hesitate to engage.
Though the numbers were against them, the mere two angels were obviously not going to be easy prey for the many Undead Creatures. As the nemesis of the Undead, the Angel Race was not to be trifled with. They were surrounded by a potent Spiritual Energy that made any evil creature shudder in fear or even burn to ash upon entering their radiance, without the angels even needing to lift a finger.
Plus, since members of the Space Divine Race were battle experts, dealing with these weaker Undead Creatures was not an issue. This was akin to a level 80 player with max-level equipment soloing Stansome–the question was never about survival, only about whether it was tiring.
The first wave of Undead Creatures were not particularly strong. Although Fang Zheng did not sense the Necromancer aura on them, once they entered the aura of the two angels, they immediately burst into flames–clearly the scepter had masked their Necromancer aura, but not their true nature.
Under the relentless attack of the two angels, Fang Zheng saw the Undead Sailors who rushed forward fall in droves like wheat before a scythe. Still, the Undead Sailors showed no fear. Realizing the angels were a tough match, they attempted to bypass them, aiming to attack Fang Zheng standing beneath the staff directly.
And at that moment, Tilia, who had been waiting in the background, finally made her move!
“Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!!!”
Beams of light whistled through the air, creating a dense web of firepower that collapsed the burning buildings and the Undead Creatures climbing up the roofs. Holding an umbrella, Tilia was like a humanoid gun platform, erecting a firewall around Fang Zheng and bombarding anything daring to approach into fragments with her relentless firepower.
Meanwhile, Fang Zheng wasn't idle either. He quickly cast various protection spells to safeguard his surroundings, aware that the mission might not be as easy to complete as he'd hoped.
A minute went by.
Two minutes went by…
On the surface, everything seemed to be going smoothly, but Fang Zheng remained on alert. Tilia's bombardment wasn't unlimited, and while the two Space Angels seemed formidable for now, they were just summoned beings with a time constraint, unlike the Soul Summoning Stone; if they took severe damage, they would immediately return to their own Demi-Plane world. So all Fang Zheng could do now was pray that they could hold on a little longer… at least ten minutes!
Unfortunately, the enemy wasn't foolish.
Just as the angels fended off another wave of Undead Sailor attacks, suddenly, Fang Zheng saw a series of explosions ignited in the distance. The next moment, he saw a barrage of projectiles enveloped in green flames, like meteors descending from the sky towards them!
“Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom!!”
In the blink of an eye, the whole square was shrouded in smoke–it seemed the enemy knew the staff couldn't be destroyed so easily and thus launched their attack without reserve.
“Cough, cough cough…”
Even Fang Zheng had to cough awkwardly a few times, hastily retreating. He looked ahead and saw although the angels appeared unharmed, the radiant aura that was once lively around them had dimmed significantly.
It looked like things were getting complicated.
