Chat Group For Magicians 127 The New but Old Kid

The hallways are bustling with students as always. The feelings that I felt when I stepped on the school faded at once as soon as I entered the place. The people who caused me to abandon the school are no longer here and the principal who disregarded my complaints is no longer in service since the new principal is a woman as what Rena said earlier.

Although the feelings of the bullying never fade that fast, it's not something that would stay forever. Recovering from the bullying is something I was able to do in just a very easy way which is by shutting myself from the outside but I just can't escape from it which caused me to just forget everything. After scaling the crowd of students, I managed to arrive in front of the principal's office. I was just about to touch the doorknob when I heard the voice of the principal talking on the other side of the door.

"Come in, Kazuma."

Wait... that voice sounds familiar I guess? I don't know where I heard of that voice though but I am certain that I heard this voice before. Opening the door, I immediately saw the principal to be someone I know, or more exactly, I met last time.

"Surprised to see me here?" the principal smiled.

The principal who took the position is none other than Asuza Hebisu, the Snake Councilor. The good thing is that she is not wearing a sultry outfit like when the last time I met her at the meeting. She is wearing the clothes most female principals do. It was even a good thing she isn't showing her cleavage anymore which might cause a few men to spurt out blood from their noses.

"Don't worry, I did not activate my hormone magic at all. I don't plan to flirt here alright, I came here to aid on the mission because it's more troublesome than I thought."

Hmmm, I see. So that was part of her magic, no wonder I almost can't resist her charm. It looks like she is able to do some serious business too and not just flirting all the way.

"That would make things easier, Rena wanted me to hand this letter to you. She said that you will know what to do once you read it."

"Oh, is it? Did you read it?"

"I am only responsible for delivering the letter. It's not my cue to read it without the permission of the receiver."

"Wow, professional. I would like to have you as my delivery man next time then. Of course, there are rewards," and she bit her lips in a flirty way.

"Uh... I am okay without the rewards..."

Asuza cast a disappointed look but she quickly recovered.

"Anyway, we should get you assigned to a classroom then. According to the letter, you were a former student in this school before you dropped out, correct?"

"Indeed. Everything is true."

"Do you want to be assigned again to the people you were familiar with in the past then?"

I paused for a moment and think for a while. Although I already have forgotten all of the pain from the bullying after I became a magician, the trauma is still not something easily forgotten and cured. I don't think everything will be fine even if I have let all bygones be bygones. There was a certain possibility of my life getting ruined by them again. Therefore, I made a decision.

"Yes, put me with them again. I have some score to settle with them."

Asuza turned serious hearing this. "Kazuma. I am sure that you know what Lex Talionis is?"

"An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth?"

"I am not against of what you want to do against the people that made trouble to you in the past but be sure that you won't be showing the secret we magicians hold."

"I am aware."

"Then, just like what the higher-ups did to your case, whatever happened to the bullies, I will turn a blind eye on it."

After our talks, I was handed the letter I have to deliver to the homeroom teacher. Although I am behind a year of knowledge from my former classmates, the Principal allowed me to just skip it since I am already a magician and a magician's mind can be twice the mind of a normal human depending on what rank the magician is currently. And since my rank is a little bit more push to get to the 3rd rank, I can deal with the lack of basic knowledge.

Ms. Suzuka the homeroom teacher is a decent one but a bit clumsy. She might looked like she is an airhead but as soon as she knows that I will be the one transferring to her class, she seemed happy for some reason or is it just my imagination.

When the moment of truth arrived, I saw the faces of my former classmates just outside the door. Just by their sight makes me remember all the times they ignore my plea of help whenever I was bullied publicly. Of course, not all of them are in bad terms with me since I am seeing a few faces that are new to me. Well, time to listen to the teacher for now and wait for my cue.

"Good morning guys. Today, I am going to introduce a new student that will transfer today in our class."

"Is it a girl?"

"Seriously, you boys just don't have any question on new students except if the transfer student is a girl. Can't all of you say something decent?"

"Oh yeah?"

"Enough class, the transferee is a boy. Please be quiet, will you? For the sake of the transferee?"

The students were quiet and did not make any sound anymore after that and waited for me to come in.

"Okay, come in now and introduced yourself."

I shook my uniform a bit before coming in. As soon as they saw my face, the students who were all expecting the face of the new student did not expect to see my face appear in front of them.

"Did anyone remember me?"

The others were utterly stunned by what they have seen especially the students who became my classmates once. Though one of them seemed happy and that is Erina.

"Kazuma you are back!"
