"Activate Trap Card 'New Universe Expansion' from my hand!"
Jou inserted a card into his Duel Disk. Instantly, a Trap Card emerged on his field, radiating a golden glow.
Yeshen said, "Activate a Trap Card from your hand?"
"Exactly", Jou replied. "Trap Card 'New Universe Expansion' can be activated from the hand even if there are no cards on my field.
I can select any number of 'New Space Hero' and 'Elemental Hero: New Yuzak' from my hand or graveyard, and Special Summon them to the field in Defense Position!"
Several cards shot out from Jou's graveyard. He quickly gathered them, showing them to his opponent.
"First, 'Elemental Hero: New Yuzak' sent to the graveyard by the effect of 'Elemental Hero: Liquid'. Then, 'New Space Hero Mole' and 'New Space Hero Dolphin' discarded by the effect of the Spell Card 'Shift Contact'. Lastly, 'New Space Hero Hummingbird' discarded by the effect of 'Angel's Favor'.
Four cards in total, all Special Summoned to the field!"
Jou placed the four monsters on his Duel Disk. Four columns of light appeared on his field, each shining brightly and forming the figures of cosmic heroes.

[New Space Hero Mole, Defense 300]
[Elemental Hero: New Yuzak, Defense 2000]
Yeshen's expression changed slightly. "Just one card to summon four monsters."
Jou added, "However, the effects of the monsters summoned by 'New Universe Expansion' are all negated."
Yeshen said coolly, "While the number is impressive, they can't attack in Defense Position, and with their effects negated, they pose no threat."
He sneered. "None of them can stand against Supreme Sun. Well, they might delay me a bit. Heh heh."
He chuckled darkly, not continuing, but in his mind, he thought, what does it matter how many walls there are? Even four monsters are nothing more than a single "End of All Things" for the Eraser.
Jou said, "Next, I activate Spell Card 'New Space Gift'.
If I have 'New Space Hero' monsters on my field, I can draw a number of cards equal to the number of 'New Space Hero' monsters on my field!"
Yeshen was slightly taken aback. "What?"
"Right now, I have three 'New Space Heroes' on my field", Jou said. "So I draw three cards!"
The sky hummingbird raised its head and called out, "Jou! Receive our power!"
With a flutter of its wings, energy waves emitted from the hummingbird, mole, and dolphin, merging into the top of Jou's deck. The deck seemed to be empowered, and the top three cards automatically popped out, drawn by Jou.
After drawing, Jou paused, slowly raising his head to look at Yeshen.
"I don't know you."
Jou spoke slowly.
"To be honest, I don't have any grand aspirations like saving the world or bringing smiles to people through duels. Most of the time, I duel for myself, just for the fun of it.
But today is different."
His tone changed.
If his school friends who knew Jou well were here, they might be very surprised. Even his third-year classmates, who had been with him day and night, would find it hard to believe that this somber, unfamiliar voice could be coming from Jou.
"Only today, only you. You are the opponent I must defeat no matter what."
"Because if I don’t, I’ll have no face to meet that guy again, even if I get the chance after I die."
Beside them, You Bei couldn’t help but speak up, "Jou."
Even she felt, for a moment, that Jou seemed somewhat unfamiliar.
The red-clad figure exuded a touch of sadness, a hint of loneliness, and a rare anger that almost never appeared on this optimistic young man.
Yeshen, on the other side, noticed that the boy’s eyes had somehow turned golden.
Sharp and piercing, like they could stab through the heart, a golden gaze that dared not be met.
"I return ‘Elemental Hero: New Yuzak,’ ‘New Space Hero Mole,’ ‘New Space Hero Hummingbird,’ and ‘New Space Hero Dolphin’—all four monsters from the field back to my deck!

Not only Yeshen, but You Bei was also bewildered. Did Jou have these kinds of monsters before?

"The Synchro condition is ‘Elemental Hero: New Yuzak’ plus three ‘New Space Hero’ monsters with different attributes!"
Jou raised his arm high.
The New Yuzak seemed to raise its arm in unison. The three New Space Heroes transformed into blue, gold, and red light, respectively, merging into the New Yuzak. The New Yuzak was bathed in multicolored light, its form rapidly growing larger.

This new form of New Yuzak, born from Jou’s newfound strength, was a new evolution of the hero, keeping pace with its master’s growth.
Commonly known as a print card.
Yeshen’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"This power has summoned something dangerous for me."
Jou revealed a card in his hand, "Activate Magic Card ‘Great Storm.’
Destroy all Magic and Trap Cards on the field!"
Jou pointed at Yeshen’s back field.
"Destroy all the Continuous Magic and covered cards on your back field!"
Yeshen only sneered.
"Thinking about my back field now? Too late!
Activate covered card, Continuous Trap—Call of the Living Dead!"
Yeshen laughed heartily.
"Revive a monster in Attack Position from the graveyard. Of course, I’ll revive myself—
—Demonic Deity Eraser!
No matter what your monster can do, destroy it!"
But after a few laughs, he suddenly realized something was wrong.
Wait a minute...
The Trap didn’t activate.
Yeshen’s pupils contracted.
"What!?"
"I knew that Trap was for reviving the Eraser, and I also knew you wouldn’t activate it before I launched my attack", Jou said. "But the moment ‘Elemental Hero: Cosmic New Yuzak’ was summoned, you lost your chance to activate it.
