Chapter 998: Alison's Capture
Chapter 998: Alison's Capture
Several Acolytes hesitated for a moment but understood that the situation would become increasingly dangerous if more enemies gathered. With this in mind, the five of them drew their wands and attacked Fenrir and his group.
Several Spell Beams flashed through the air, and the Aurors, who had been handling the Angel Statues with ease, suddenly found themselves in a perilous situation.
Fenrir punched an Angel Statue in the face, shattering its head, then dodged two Spell Beams aimed at him, his brow furrowed in concern.
If they continued like this, they might not survive long enough to receive reinforcements.
In the blink of an eye, one of the Aurors was hit by a spell. He was thrown backward as if struck by a heavy hammer, landing on the ground, unconscious or worse.
Fenrir was filled with anxiety and glanced over, but in that split second, another Angel Statue swung its massive stone sword, attempting to slice him in half. Fortunately, the Protego charm on his body deflected the blow, and Fenrir tumbled away awkwardly before retaliating with a Cruciatus Curse, which shattered the statue's upper body.
However, for the statues, which could quickly repair themselves, the damage was insignificant. It would take only a few seconds to Reparo.
As the situation grew more dire, Fenrir's eyes caught the Magic Lamps on the ceiling. An idea formed in his mind, and he communicated his plan through the Magic Mark.
Walker and the others immediately understood Fenrir's intent and began to work together, raising their wands and pointing them forward.
"Confringo!"
Flickers of terrifying firelight gathered at the tips of their wands, rapidly expanding into massive fireballs that hurtled toward Alison and her group.
Damn, these lunatics!
The Acolytes almost shouted in outrage. Releasing such a large-scale Explosion Charm in a confined space was something only a suicidal madman would do.
If the floor collapsed, everyone present would be doomed!
"Impedimenta!" "Protego!"
While cursing inwardly, the Acolytes didn't forget to cast protective spells. Alison summoned the Angel Statues to the front, using them as a shield to weaken the explosion's force.
A deafening explosion echoed through the Control Room, and scorching flames and violent shockwaves ravaged the area. The Angel Statues, serving as shields, quickly disintegrated in the fire, and the Magic Lamps and surrounding Magic barriers shattered from the impact.
Thanks to the successive protective measures, Alison and her four companions suffered minimal damage. In contrast, the Aurors who cast the Explosion Charm were left covered in soot, with Walker, who was closest to the blast, sustaining some minor injuries.
However, Fenrir and his group were not disheartened, as they had achieved their goal!
Most of the troublesome Angel Statues were temporarily destroyed and would take at least a minute or two to re-form. More importantly, with the light sources gone, the once-bright Control Room was plunged into darkness.
And darkness was their domain!
Walker, ignoring his injuries, leaped forward and transformed into his Werewolf Form. Using his enhanced sense of smell and night vision, he charged directly at the nearest warlock.
The explosion sent smoke and dust swirling through the air. After the initial chaos, the Acolytes began to react, and one of the Warlocks waved his wand, casting a Lumos Maxima.
The soft white light illuminated the surroundings, but a massive wolf's head had already appeared in front of him!
"Die!" Walker's face was twisted in a terrifying grimace. He opened his mouth wide, and with his sharp fangs, he bit into the Warlock's neck.
The Lumos light vanished instantly, plunging the area back into darkness, leaving only a pained scream echoing through the air.
Walker shook his head violently, tearing out a large chunk of flesh from the Warlock's neck.
Scarlet blood gushed from the wound, and the Warlock, with his neck half-severed, convulsed on the ground a few times before falling silent.
"Ugh, ugh, ugh~" Walker spat out several mouthfuls of blood. This was the first time he had ever bitten someone.
Similar screams soon echoed through the Control Room, indicating that Fenrir and the others had also begun their assault.
In the pitch-black darkness, the Werewolf Form held a significant advantage, catching the unprepared Acolytes off guard.
"Incendio!" Alison, who had been holding back, finally joined the fight. She waved her wand, and a crimson flame shot from the tip, surrounding her as both a shield and a light source.
In the brief moment it took for the flames to appear, two of the four Death Eaters protecting her were already dead, and Fenrir, transformed into his Werewolf Form, charged directly at her.
Seeing this, the inexperienced Alison panicked but managed to control the last remaining Angel Statue to swing its stone blade at Fenrir.
Just as the blade was about to strike, a blue spell beam hit the Angel Statue, blasting it away. It was Walker, now free to help, who had eliminated this threat.
By then, Fenrir was already in front of Alison.
"Back off!" Alison shouted in anger, the flames around her surging towards Fenrir, attempting to force him back.
But Fenrir, relying on the superior magical resistance and healing abilities of his Werewolf Form, didn't even flinch. He charged through the flames and, with a single claw, struck Alison in the chest, sending her flying.
Alison crashed into the wall behind her, her head bleeding profusely, but she struggled to get up, reaching for her wand that had fallen nearby.
Unfortunately, Fenrir didn't give her the chance. A Stunning Spell sent Alison into unconsciousness.
The reason he didn't kill her outright wasn't due to any chivalry but because he intended to capture her alive. They planned to use Legilimency to extract information from her mind.
After this battle, they would need to root out the spies loyal to Grindelwald who were hiding within the Ministry of Magic. As one of Grindelwald's most important lieutenants, Alison might have the names they needed.
Fenrir transformed a rope to bind Alison and then helped his comrades finish off the two Death Eaters who were still putting up resistance.
As for the Angel Statues? Once Alison, their controller, was incapacitated, they became much easier to deal with. The group cast a spell to turn the floor into a swamp, easily trapping the statues in the corner of the Control Room.
