A divine aura emanated from the card, as if a force from beyond three thousand years had descended upon them. The storm created by the flapping of its bone wings swept away the darkness, creating a sacred and inviolable realm of light that illuminated all.
"Blue-Eyes White Dragon, with an attack power of 3000!"
"Not bad, Kaiba Seto, quite a show for the first turn," commented the Evil God. "Your skills have indeed improved."
Kaiba scoffed, "Do you have time for mockery?"
The Evil God chuckled, "Hey, if you think this is enough to make me panic, then you're underestimating the gods. My turn, I draw."
The humanoid shadow controlled by the Evil God drew a card from the Duel Disk.
"I activate the magic card, 'Jar of Greed.' I draw two cards from my deck."
The Evil God drew two cards, glanced at them briefly, and then paused before breaking into a cold laugh.
"It's been ten years since our last battle, a mere blink of an eye for us, but for mortals, it's an eternity. So much so that even the President has forgotten the true terror of the Evil Gods.
Let me refresh your memory."
The Evil God slammed down one of the cards he had drawn.
"I summon the ancient Beast King to descend upon this field! Compromise Summon, Level 8—
—Beast King Barbarossa!"
A roar from the ancient times seemed to echo as a blood-red spear pierced through space. A beast with the body of a man and the head of a raging lion descended with thunderous force, holding a circular blue shield in one hand and a spear in the other.
"Beast King Barbarossa, with an attack power of 3000, now reduced to 1900!"
"Although Beast King Barbarossa is a Level 8 monster, it can be Compromise Summoned without tributes. However, when summoned in this manner, its attack power decreases to 1900."
The Evil God paused briefly and then laughed.
"Well, I don't need to explain this effect, right, President Kaiba Seto? You're familiar with it."
Kaiba replied coldly, "What are you trying to say, you bastard?"
It was clear that the Evil God was being deliberately provocative.
In the past, the Evil God siblings had possessed Tenma Yahagi and defeated Kaiba with his own hands. While the Evil God's cards were the key factor, Tenma Yahagi himself was also an exceptional Duelist.
The Beast King series was Tenma Yahagi's signature deck.
Now, the Evil God was not possessing Tenma Yahagi, but he still chose to use the Beast King, seemingly intent on rubbing salt in Kaiba's wounds and constantly reminding him of his past defeat.

Kaiba spoke up, "The effect of a Compromise Summon for Beast King Barbarossa is the same as a Normal Summon.
You have already conducted a Normal Summon this turn, so you cannot perform an Advanced Summon."

"Thank you for the reminder, President Kaiba. But I hardly need to be told such things," said the Evil God, "I offer Beast King Barbaros as a Tribute, and Special Summon this card's arrival from my hand—

"Beast God King Barbaros can only be Special Summoned by Tributing monsters on the field with a total Level of eight or higher," explained the Evil God. "So, I Tribute my Level 8 Beast God King as a sacrifice, and Special Summon this card's appearance! Beast God King is Barbaros' ultimate form, a kingly stance that has unleashed even greater power, a force that can easily destroy even your Blue-Eyes."
The Evil God raised his arm.
"From your own Graveyard and the field, exclude a 'Barbaros' monster from the game. Beast God King can lock onto and destroy up to two of your opponent's cards!"
Barbaros, who had just been offered as a Tribute, appeared as a phantom behind the Evil God. As the Evil God retrieved the monster card from the Graveyard, holding it in his hand, the phantom, along with the card in his hand, transformed into a flickering golden light, gradually fading and dissipating, banished from the game.
"From my Graveyard and the field, I exclude a 'Barbaros' monster from the game. Beast God King can lock onto and destroy up to two of your opponent's cards!"
The Beast God King roared, and the spiral lance pierced through the air. The lance's light split in midair, attacking both of Kaiba's White Dragons on the field! As the two dragons were about to be taken down by this single strike, Kaiba hummed, and his arm moved, flipping over the face-down card behind him.
"I've said it before; my Blue-Eyes has undergone a revolutionary evolution over these ten years, and I am no longer the person I once was. Let this be a lesson to you!"
Kaiba activated the face-down card, a Quick-Play Spell, 'Ultimate Union'! This card can only be activated during either player's Main Phase. Return Fusion Materials from your hand, field, or Graveyard to your Deck, and Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster that requires 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' or 'Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon' as Material!"
Evil God: "A quick Fusion Summon? Are you going to perform a Fusion during my turn?"
"Indeed!"
Kaiba raised three monster cards in one go.
"The effect of 'Blue-Eyes Cyber Dragon' allows it to be treated as 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' while on the field! So, I use the 'Blue-Eyes Cyber Dragon' and 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' on the field, along with another 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' from my hand, as Fusion Materials. I Fusion Summon!
