Lu Haikong, with his Ornate Battle Axe, faced the siege of over a dozen Xianbei tribespeople led by their chiefs. In less than a minute, the Ornate Battle Axe slashed through the air, creating a dozen beautiful yet bloody flowers as it cut down the besiegers.
Lu Haikong remained silent throughout the battle, focusing solely on his attacks. With each swing of the axe, a robust Xianbei tribesman was cleaved in two, leaving a trail of the axe, splitting them in two. His momentum was unstoppable, and his path was like a bamboo reed being snapped in half.
"How could a Han dog be so powerful? Gather all the warriors! Kill this Han dog! He must die!"
Xu Pugan's face showed a hint of fear. Lu Haikong's strength far exceeded their expectations, but he maintained his confidence. He didn't believe that a mere Han dog could defeat over a hundred Xianbei warriors.
Under Xu Pugan's command, hundreds of Xianbei tribesmen, led by a dozen or so Xianbei warriors with strength levels in the thirties and forties, charged towards Lu Haikong. Xu Pugan, with a strength level of 57, led the charge, sword raised high.
"Han dog, repent for your arrogance! Even if you are powerful, what can one Han dog do? You dare to come alone and face us all!"
Xu Pugan's face twisted into a grimace as he brandished his curved sword. Unable to mount his horse in time, he rushed towards Lu Haikong on foot. He was confident that he could cut Lu Haikong down, even though Lu Haikong seemed slightly stronger. After all, Xu Pugan had the support of a dozen near-warrior-level Xianbei warriors behind him.
"Die!"
Xu Pugan charged towards Lu Haikong, leaping high into the air. His curved sword gathered all his strength as he aimed a powerful overhead slash at Lu Haikong.
This was Xu Pugan's most powerful move, and he was confident it would be enough to cut Lu Haikong down. As he leaped, five near-warrior-level Xianbei warriors emerged from all sides, surrounding Lu Haikong.
This was Xu Pugan's signature tactic, which he called the Wolf Pack Strategy. While leaping high into the air did expose him to some risk, if Lu Haikong chose to intercept him, he would face an even greater danger.
However, if Lu Haikong couldn't focus his strength on intercepting or blocking Xu Pugan, the simultaneous attack from six near-warrior-level warriors would be too much for him to handle, even if he was stronger than Xu Pugan.
Xu Pugan had used this tactic countless times, and it had never failed him. Even opponents with strength levels over sixty rarely escaped unscathed from his strategy.
"Have you chosen how you want to die? Do you want me to cut you down with my sword, or do you prefer to be hacked to pieces by their blades?" Xu Pugan's face twisted into a cruel smile, as if Lu Haikong's death was already a certainty.
However, before his smile could fully bloom, his expression turned to one of sheer terror, with a hint of despair.
Facing Xu Pugan's Wolf Pack Strategy, Lu Haikong didn't hesitate for a moment. He threw the Ornate Battle Axe directly at Xu Pugan, then drew his longsword and swiftly slashed the surrounding near-warrior-level Xianbei warriors with a few reverse strokes.
Lu Haikong's reaction was swift, but even with his speed, his strength was slightly lacking. In the face of the Wolf Pack Strategy, he couldn't escape unscathed.
Despite Lu Hai Kong's swift execution of three Xianbei tribespeople, two others managed to land their blows. One blade slashed across his left ribs, while another grazed his abdomen, inflicting severe injuries.
The pain was excruciating, perhaps the worst he had endured in all his battles. However, this opponent seemed to have anticipated such wounds from the start.
Unfazed by the attacks, Lu Hai Kong seized the opportunity and counterattacked, swiftly slaying them both.
"It hurts, but why do I feel my blood boiling with excitement?"
Lu Hai Kong's bloodshot eyes, now tinged with madness, scanned the stunned Xianbei tribespeople who had halted their assault. He glanced at Xu Pu Gan, who had narrowly avoided the blade of his ornate battle axe but was still injured by the axe handle. Lu Hai Kong bared his white teeth, his body now half-drenched in blood, and launched another attack.
Without an axe, he fought with his sword, facing dozens of remaining Xianbei tribespeople. Lu Hai Kong's eyes showed no fear as he rode his horse through their ranks, each strike claiming several lives.
Despite the increasing number of wounds on his body, even as his entire being became drenched in blood, Lu Hai Kong's onslaught never ceased.
By the time he had slain all the Xianbei tribespeople, his longsword was covered in notches, and the horse beneath him had been killed by their frenzied attacks. Lu Hai Kong himself bore over a dozen wounds of varying severity.
