Jou and New Yuzak paid no heed to You Bei's jealous outburst, leaving her to stew in her anger. Jou continued, "Now, the second effect of New Universe Connector activates. By offering this card as a Tribute, I can Special Summon a 'New Space Hero: New Space Panther from the Graveyard in Defense Position."
Earlier in the turn, Jou had discarded two copies of New Space Panther to the Graveyard using the Quick-Play Spell Card, Transformation Contact.
"I revive New Space Panther from the Graveyard!" Jou declared.
As the monster was summoned, a black, mud-like substance appeared on Jou's field. It slowly flowed and coalesced, forming limbs and transforming into a fierce black panther that crouched low to the ground.

The black panther spoke, "Leave it to me, Jou! I'll bring back your important partner!"
You Bei, on the other hand, grew increasingly annoyed. "Oh, so it seems there are already enough fairies to replace me, huh?" she said with a scowl.
Jou responded, "I return Element Hero: New Yuzak and New Space Panther to the Deck, and I activate Contact Fusion!"
New Yuzak and New Space Panther rose into the air on either side, accelerating until they became like shooting stars, merging into the starry sky.
"I borrow the power of the black panther—Element Hero: Dark New Yuzak, appear!"
With the power of the black panther, New Yuzak transformed into a pitch-black figure, with wings spreading out like a wide cloak behind him. A blue crystal shone on his chest, and his body was a sleek design, interwoven with black and white hues.

When Jou first encountered You Bei in the anime, his memories were not fully recovered, and he didn't recall the effects of You Bei's monsters, which put him at a disadvantage. But now, he had remembered You Bei's unique abilities and knew that facing her directly would be a challenging task, as the stronger his summoned monsters, the more severe the backlash he would face. You Bei was an opponent where brute force was not the best strategy; instead, specific tactics and counters were required.
And so, Jou summoned Element Hero: Dark New Yuzak. "I activate the effect of Element Hero: Dark New Yuzak," Jou announced. "While this card is on the field, I can choose one Effect Monster on the field and negate its effects permanently!"
Dark New Yuzak extended his right palm, and a powerful vortex of energy swirled around it, as if an invisible restraint was placed on You Bei.
You Bei's expression changed slightly. "You're negating my monster's effects?" she asked, realizing that this dark form of New Yuzak was indeed her nemesis. Without monster effects, she was just a zero-attack blank slate, an easy target with no value even as a sacrificial lamb or a wall.
"I will make you come to your senses, You Bei!" Jou declared. "Element Hero: Dark New Yuzak, attack You Bei!"
Dark New Yuzak lunged forward like a swift leopard, its claws tracing a dark path as it reached for You Bei.
"If you think you can take my Jou away so easily, you're mistaken," You Bei said, her voice deep and resonant. "I activate my face-down Trap Card, 'Archer Battalion'! By Tributing a monster on my field, I can destroy any card on the field. I Tribute my own You Bei!"
A massive crossbow appeared on the field, operated by several green-skinned, pointy-eared goblins.
Yu Bei leaped onto the crossbow, and the goblins cried out as they pulled the bowstring, launching Yu Bei like an arrow towards the Dark New Yuzak.
A mutual destruction!
But Jou did not intend for New Yuzak to mutually destroy himself: "Quick-Play Spell, 'Contact Separation'!
Release the fusion of the New Universe Fusion Monster on my field! The Fusion Monster returns to the Fusion Deck, and if the Fusion Materials used are all in the deck, they can be Special Summoned to the field!"
Yu Bei transformed into a cannonball and rushed out, but just before impact, the Dark New Yuzak suddenly split into two, separating back into New Yuzak and Dark Panther. Yu Bei narrowly missed, only grazing between the two monsters.
Yu Bei clicked her tongue: "Cunning New Yuzak."
"And Contact Separation is a Quick-Play Spell, activated during the Battle Phase," Jou explained, "so the 'Elemental Hero: New Yuzak' and 'New Space Hero: Dark Panther' Special Summoned by this effect can launch additional attacks this turn!"

Jou separated two monsters on his field, but Yu Bei had already sacrificed herself, leaving an empty field. Additionally, Yu Bei had previously paid 1000 Life Points to summon herself using the Dead Emperor's Tomb, leaving her with only 3000 LP remaining. If New Yuzak and Dark Panther's attacks were to go through, it would be a one-hit kill!
Jou waved his hand.
"Elemental Hero: New Yuzak, direct attack Yu Bei!"
New Yuzak took the lead, slashing at Yu Bei with a hand blade.
"You want to force me out so quickly, but it won't be that easy," Yu Bei coldly hummed, "Activating a Set Card, Continuous Trap, 'Limited Revival'!
Revive a monster with an Attack Power of 1000 or less from the Graveyard!"

The Revival Trap activated, and Yu Bei rose slowly from underground, her wings wrapping around her body, blocking the field once more.
