Chapter 965: Itching for Trouble, Eager to Stir the Pot
Chapter 965: Itching for Trouble, Eager to Stir the Pot
The Skrulls knew that the Blue Planet's inhabitants would soon open the Terminal Secret Realm, and they had been preparing for this for a long time. Since the Blue Planet's main players entering the Secret Realm would be Sixth-Rank, the Skrulls had positioned dozens of willing Sixth-Rank practitioners on the Wild Continent three days ago, ready to rush to the opening site as soon as the Secret Realm activated.
It wasn't just the Skrulls who were prepared; other races on the Wild Continent had also made their own preparations. For example, the White Eagle and Rhinoceros Spirit clans had dispatched numerous Sixth-Rank members to every corner of the continent, ready to head to the opening site at a moment's notice.
Thus, when the Terminal Secret Realm opened, the top-tier beings of Skrull quickly converged on the opening site. The Skrull internet was flooded with news of the Secret Realm's activation, with major media outlets and websites aggressively promoting the event, drawing the attention of the entire online world.
The recently banned internet users were furious. They had only made a few casual comments on social media, and now they were facing a two-month ban!
The massive scandal involving Manina had been forcefully suppressed by the United Government. If this had happened a few years ago, when the Sun Emperor was embroiled in such a scandal, the Renkete Union's media would have plastered it on the front page for a month!
But this time, it was different.
This incident highlighted the United Government's powerful control over public opinion, a realization that left many internet users feeling uneasy.
Accounts of anti-United Government organizations were being systematically banned. In the past, the United Government had allowed these groups to voice their opinions online, and government officials often engaged in heated debates with Cindy Doppler. However, now, all traces of these organizations were being erased from the internet, and the entire nation of Beck was being cut off from the global network.
Soon, the citizens of Beck could only access their own national network and were unable to log into major international websites. This immediately sparked a nationwide outcry against Manina.
But Manina was unaffected by these protests. He was now urging Sion to continue the "Great Account Ban Campaign," systematically removing anti-United Government organizations from cyberspace. Meanwhile, he was also focusing on the Terminal Secret Realm's opening, keenly interested in how many spots they could secure.
The Skrull Undercurrents
Despite the intense undercurrents, a few individuals remained entirely unaffected by the chaos—Tina, Alize, and Morning Star.
The two women and the cat were currently roaming around Skrull territory. Over the past seven days, they had toured the entire Sun Empire, then moved on to the small countries south of the Sun Empire, followed by the small countries south of the Renkete Union, and finally, the Renkete Union itself.
Now, they were deep in the heart of the Renkete Union, less than 300 kilometers from the capital city of Treana.
Throughout their journey, they had flown over the Skrulls with complete disregard, drawing significant attention and easing the pressure on the Blue Planet's practitioners.
However, as time passed, the attention they attracted began to diminish.
At first, the Skrulls were terrified of them. For instance, in Yangquan City and the Sun Empire's capital, Sun City, the Skrulls would panic and flee to the outskirts whenever they saw the trio, causing significant traffic congestion and citywide disruptions.
Their presence had even prompted the United Government to send a formidable team of three God-Rank and twenty Seventh-Rank practitioners, a clear sign of the respect they commanded.
But gradually, the Skrulls no longer feared them.
When Tina, Elize, and Morningstar entered a small country in the southern part of the Sun Empire, the people there continued their daily lives without any fear. Some of the bolder ones even came out to gawk at them, as if they were pandas on display.
As they approached the Rentek Alliance, the Skrulls’ curiosity only intensified.
Wherever they went, ordinary Skrull citizens set up rows of telescopes to observe them curiously. Skrull cultivators of the third rank and above, if they had the means, donned their mechs and flew close to get a better look.
By the end, they were like top-tier celebrities on a public tour, with crowds gathering within a few kilometers of their path.
One of the three Skrull god-levels following them had left. "Shining Queen" Elizabeth departed on the third day, her destination unknown.
Now, only Sib and Oltas remained behind them, and they seemed to be going through the motions, unwilling and unenthusiastic.
...
Faced with this situation, Tina, Elize, and Morningstar had many discussions using their psychic powers, trying to find a solution.
After all, they had come here to draw attention from the Skrulls. Now that they weren't attracting much attention, they needed to make a change.
But they didn't have any particularly good ideas.
Together, the three of them were no match for Sib and Oltas, and the chances of causing significant disruption were low.
Moreover, they couldn't self-destruct in the city; the value of such an act was minimal and would only serve to unite the Skrulls further.
Just when they were at a loss, an opportunity arose!
On the sixth day, as the final destination was about to open, Sib and Oltas had a conversation. Sib then left the group and flew toward the Wild Continent.
While they didn't know why Sib had left, they could guess the reason.
Morningstar used her psychic powers to communicate with her friends: "Sib is gone, and he's heading straight for the Wild Continent. He must be going to the final secret realm to oversee it, right?"
"Probably," Tina nodded slightly.
"I agree," Elize analyzed. "The Skrulls have a total of eight god-levels. Manina III and Plant are being held back by Cao Cao and Ying Zheng, and Cecilia is in seclusion. They do need enough god-levels to oversee the final secret realm."
"Does that mean we can cause some trouble now?" Morningstar, the cat, cast a sidelong glance at Oltas behind them, her paws glowing with starlight.
After nearly seven days of wandering through the big cities of Skrul, she was bored and itching for action.
Tina, also a warrior at heart, immediately agreed: "I'm all for causing trouble! And I think 'Plan 2' fits our current situation."
They had devised five plans, from "Plan 1" to "Plan 5."
Now, Tina wanted to use "Plan 2."
"Agreed, I support Plan 2," Morningstar said, her eyes flashing with a hint of hatred as she looked toward Trenar City.
Elize had no intention of stopping them: "Since you both want to cause trouble, let's do it! But remember, our primary goal is still to draw attention from the Skrulls. Revenge is secondary."
"Understood."
With their minds made up, the two women and the cat suddenly sped up, turning into three streaks of light as they raced toward Trenar City.
The Skrull mech formations that had been "surrounding" them were forcefully pushed aside, creating a large gap. They broke through and left with a flourish.
