Chapter 96: Underground Cavern
Chapter 96: Underground Cavern
In Li Kai's car, Lu Wu, sitting in the passenger seat, sneezed while looking down at his phone.
In the backseat, Mini Skeleton and Doudou, holding Tuan Tuan, sat side by side, both of them gazing at Lu Wu in the passenger seat. Doudou's eyes were filled with excitement and anticipation, while Mini Skeleton's gaze revealed a sense of grievance.
Ever since Lu Wu accidentally mentioned throwing Mini Skeleton away a couple of days ago, the little skeleton had been extra attentive to Lu Wu, barely playing on its phone.
It was afraid that Lu Wu might actually throw it away.
However, Mini Skeleton was still just a few months old; how could it possibly know how to please someone? During the day, its clumsy attempts at serving tea and water to Lu Wu were appreciated.
But at night, it was a different story! The little guy seemed to think that tucking Lu Wu in was an exceptional way to please him, and it repeatedly tucked him in countless times throughout the night.
This was well-intentioned, but now it was December, and the weather had turned cooler. Lu Wu nearly caught a cold due to Mini Skeleton's constant fussing with the blanket.
For the sake of his own health, Lu Wu decided to deprive Mini Skeleton of the right to tuck him in.
This made Mini Skeleton's mood sink considerably.
After all, in its eyes, losing the right to tuck Lu Wu in was equivalent to losing the entire world! Now, as it watched Tuan Tuan being held in Doudou's arms, Mini Skeleton's little emotions surged.
Although Lu Wu didn't buy a phone for Tuan Tuan, he had never hugged Mini Skeleton either! It seemed that Lu Wu truly disliked Mini Skeleton, and even his own family's Lu Wu was turning into a bad Lu Wu.
Perhaps, Mini Skeleton thought, it would soon become a skeleton that Lu Wu didn't want.
Hmm, ever since Mini Skeleton had its bone stuffed with things, its intelligence had been growing day by day, and now it was feeling wronged!
...
Lu Wu was completely unaware of the complex emotions of his little skeleton.
At this moment, he was researching the mystic realm they were about to visit.
Since they were going to a mystic realm, Lu Wu had been studying and investigating them over the past few days.
Through his research, Lu Wu discovered that mystic realms could be categorized.
Broadly, they could be divided into two types: realms controlled by humans and those not controlled by humans.
Currently, the realms accessible to ordinary people, or non-professional summoners, were mostly of the first type.
The human-controlled realms also had subcategories: completely controlled and partially controlled.
There were exploration-type realms, as well as challenge or trial-type realms.
The realm Lu Wu and his team were heading to today was not the 【Great Graveyard】 he had initially considered, but a human-controlled challenge or trial-type realm.
This realm, known as 【Underground Cavern】, was located in the mountainous area near Quancheng. It was discovered fifty years ago by a professional summoner who then sold the location to the Professional Summoner Center.
After acquiring this realm, the Professional Summoner Center modified it to some extent, transforming it into an entry-level trial-type realm specifically designed for non-professional training.
The elite class had previously trained in this realm with good results, so Lu Wu planned to spend some time there.
"We'll be staying in this realm for half a month, and during that time, I want Mini Skeleton to reach 2-star strength and Tuan Tuan to reach 1-star!"
This was Lu Wu's short-term goal.
After accomplishing this minor goal, Lu Wu contemplated his next move regarding the Great Graveyard.
Just as he voiced his thoughts, Dudu spoke up, slightly embarrassed, "Um, Tuan Tuan seems to have reached the two-star rank."
Lu Wu was taken aback and quickly inquired about the details, "When did this happen? How did she break through?"
He was genuinely interested in the aspect of his Summon Beast's breakthrough and wanted to compile effective tips for it.
However, Tuan Tuan's breakthrough method didn't seem to offer much help to Lu Wu.
"Tuan Tuan broke through right after waking up from a good morning sleep. I have no idea how it happened!" Dudu felt a bit down as she couldn't be of much help to Lu Wu.
On Lu Wu's side, seeing Dudu's disappointment and then glancing at the well-fed piglet in her arms, he couldn't help but turn and give his Mini Skeleton a stern look.
Seeing others, also beasts, able to break through just by eating and sleeping well, Lu Wu wondered why his couldn't do the same.
Mini Skeleton already felt wronged, and Lu Wu's glare only made it worse.
Additionally, for some unknown reason, it now had the urge to fight the pig.
...
After driving for about an hour, Lu Wu and his group arrived at the Underground Cavern, a Mystic Realm.
They were using the One Six One Nine Book Bar One Look Wu One Correct Version.
This was Lu Wu's first visit to a Mystic Realm, so they were immediately amazed upon arrival.
The main difference was that this Mystic Realm didn't quite match their imagination.
In Lu Wu's mind, a Mystic Realm should have a more mystical and fantastical atmosphere. However, upon reaching their destination, Lu Wu suspected that Li Kai might have taken a wrong turn and brought them to a shopping mall.
It wasn't surprising that Lu Wu had doubts, as the place indeed resembled a mall.
They parked in an underground parking lot.
Above the parking lot was a supermarket, restaurants, and various shops on the first floor.
The second floor had small stores similar to Li Kai's grocery store and some entertainment facilities; Lu Wu even spotted a cinema.
The third floor was different, as it was a residential area, or rather, a place to rent rooms.
After discovering this, Lu Wu secretly observed for a while before turning his attention away.
As Lu Wu's group surveyed the Mystic Realm, or rather, the plaza, Li Kai couldn't help but express his disagreement, "To be honest, I don't agree with calling this place a Mystic Realm. In my opinion, a place like this, completely controlled and commercialized by humans, can no longer be considered a Mystic Realm!
At best, it's just an expensive training ground.
It's almost impossible to gain any fortuitous encounters in such a Mystic Realm! Without danger and opportunities, how can this place be considered a Mystic Realm? We wouldn't even bother with a place like this ordinarily..."
Li Kai suddenly realized what he was saying and quickly changed the topic, "But there are some benefits to this place; it's safe and comfortable, especially suitable for elegant and calm breeders like Little Lu!"
Lu Wu remained indifferent to Li Kai's sudden flattery.
After all, Li Kai had merely stated the truth, and he was indeed an elegant and calm breeder.
However, Li Kai's words might not sound as pleasant to others.
"Hmph!"
A heavy, nasal-sounding cold huff came from the side, and Lu Wu looked up to see a pair of long legs...
