Two months have passed since the book's debut, and after grinding out 280,000 words, the story officially launches tonight at midnight. The two updates posted earlier today will be the final free chapters. Since they serve as transitional content, I've decided not to include them in the paid sections moving forward.
To be honest, this journey has had its fair share of struggles.
The book launched right before Lunar New Year, but mid-year traffic dipped badly. After the Spring Festival, we nearly lost algorithmic recommendations entirely, causing a temporary halt in promotions. I almost gave up on the story. We barely survived the revival match, and then lost a Three Rivers recommendation battle, delaying progress by another week.
The only reason I kept going was your support. When the book hit 100,000 words, favorites barely exceeded 1,000. Without consistently strong reader engagement and your thoughtful comments, I might have abandoned ship.
I read every single review - both positive and critical.
Beyond early pacing concerns, many readers have focused on power scaling issues. With cultivation realms being portrayed as larger stages than typical, some worry about power scaling collapse.
Here's my approach: I treat minor cultivation stages as major milestones. The gaps between Early, Middle, Late, and Peak stages are substantial, allowing plenty of room for development and progression. This structure gives me confidence in maintaining balance, especially once we reach the Foundation Building Stage.
The Holy Sect's true cultivation style, and indeed the entire worldbuilding, will fully manifest after Foundation Building cultivation begins.
To the point:
The launch means ten updates minimum, possibly more. I'm seriously hoping for monthly ticket support to climb the new releases leaderboard.
Additionally, if we achieve premium first-subscriber status, daily updates for the following month will double - at minimum four chapters totaling 8,000 words daily.
