Chapter 953: My Eye for Talent Knows No Bounds!
Lu Chen's words left Lu Xuan stunned for a moment.
"You've managed to spot a repeating pattern in a treasure that plays random clips? Just how many of those clips have you watched, you old pervert?"
Lu Xuan's heart filled with respect.
"This issue cannot be resolved for the time being," Lu Chen shook his head.
"It's fine. Reviewing old content can often lead to new discoveries," Old Dragon Turtle nonchalantly replied.
"Senior, please give me some time. I may come across an upgraded version of the treasure in the future, but I can't make any promises," Lu Xuan said thoughtfully.
He knew that with the improved Mystical Immortal Peaches from the Thunderfire Cave, he would be able to obtain even more valuable treasures due to their higher grade. Perhaps there would even be enhanced versions of the Extreme Pleasure Sutra and the Captivating Sound Treasure Pearl.
"Sure, I've got plenty of time. I'll be waiting for the day you bring it to me," the Old Dragon Turtle said with a smile.
After chatting with the Old Dragon Turtle for a while longer, Lu Xuan bid him farewell and left.
Upon returning to the shore, the wild girl immediately approached Lu Xuan.
"Brother Lu, what are your plans now? Would you like to tour the entire blessed land?" she asked.
"Sure, I'd appreciate it if you could guide me, Sister. Just be careful not to offend any of the high-level spirit beasts within the blessed land," Lu Xuan replied.
"Of course," the girl assured him.
She led Lu Xuan into the skies, giving him a bird's-eye view of the entire blessed land while pointing out the lairs of various spirit beasts along the way.
Among them were several spirit beasts with ancient beast bloodlines that piqued Lu Xuan's interest greatly.
"I heard that Brother Lu is a Spirit Herbalist?" the girl asked curiously as they flew.
"Yes, I'm quite proficient in the ways of spirit herbs, and I also know a thing or two about spirit beast taming," Lu Xuan smiled.
Seeing the multitude of high-level spirit beasts in the blessed land had sparked new ideas in Lu Xuan, and he decided to forge a good relationship with this female cultivator from the Spirit Beast Hall. After all, he didn't want to miss the opportunity to tame any offspring that might be born with ancient beast bloodlines.
The two of them strolled casually for a while and were about to enter the teleportation formation within the blessed land when Lu Xuan took out a bottle of Green Condensing Dew.
"Sister, here's a bottle of fifth-grade Green Condensing Dew. Drinking it will strengthen your divine soul and purify your flesh, and it also has decent healing abilities. I want to thank you for accompanying me into the blessed land, so please accept this gift," he said with a smile as he handed over the dew.
"Thank you, Brother Lu!" The girl was straightforward and didn't stand on ceremony. She expressed her gratitude as she took the spirit brew.
Her impression of Lu Xuan improved significantly.
After returning to the Spirit Beast Hall with Little White Ape, Lu Xuan, and the ape underwent questioning by the three Nascent Soul true lords, who wanted to ensure that the White Jade Holding-up-the-Sky Ape had truly volunteered to follow Lu Xuan. This spirit beast with immense potential was now officially under Lu Xuan's command.
"Master Lu, I'm your beast now. You have to make sure you feed me well and take good care of me!" Little White Ape demanded, rubbing his head against Lu Xuan's leg. His eyes, clear as jade, looked up at Lu Xuan expectantly.
"Don't worry, I promise you'll have a better life than any other spirit beast in this blessed land," Lu Xuan said confidently.
With his vast collection of spirit fruits, knowledge of high-level spirit brews, and the Myriad Spirit Grass Condensing Technique that greatly benefited demons and demon tribes, Lu Xuan was well-equipped to provide for the White Jade Holding-up-the-Sky Ape.
Lu Xuan returned to the Still Sword Peak with Little White Ape in tow.
"So this is where Master's cave abode is, on the Still Sword Peak," Little White Ape remarked, taking in their surroundings.
"Brother Lu!"
Along the way, they encountered several inner disciples of the Still Sword Peak who greeted Lu Xuan respectfully.
News of Lu Xuan, the incredibly talented Spirit Herbalist brought back by the Sword Master from the Cloud Void Domain, had spread throughout the entire sword peak.
"My master sure knows how to make an entrance."
Little White Ape scratched his ear and stroked his chin, his mood clearly elevated.
"Hey, are we there yet?"
As they continued their ascent up the towering Sword Peak, the ape voiced his curiosity.
"It's further up," Lu Xuan explained.
Before long, the duo reached the cave abode.
"Wow, this place is huge! Did you hold the True Sword Master to ransom or something?"
Little White Ape exclaimed as he circled the spacious abode, marveling at its size and the rich spiritual energy within.
"Of course," Lu Xuan chuckled. "I had to get him to personally bring me here from the Cloud Void Domain, so I asked for some perks. How else could I be persuaded to stay?"
In front of this old friend, Lu Xuan felt like a boastful youth.
"Wow, I knew I picked the right master to follow!"
"Even when my master was just a Qi Cultivator, you'd come to visit often. We've formed a strong bond!"
"And now, I'm reaping the rewards of that friendship!"
Little White Ape lay on the stone table in the courtyard, kicking his legs up in excitement.
"You were just here for the snacks back then, weren't you..."
Lu Xuan thought to himself, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"Hey, Master, what about the chubby bird and the big cat?"
Little White Ape's curiosity seemed insatiable.
"They're staying in a cave abode in the Cloud Void Domain for now. I'll bring them to the Sword Sect when the time is right," Lu Xuan replied, knowing that the ape was referring to the Wind Falcon and the Cloud-Striding Lynx. Back then, Little White Ape and the Little Luan Bird often visited in hopes of snatching spirit fruits, and they had formed a deep bond with those spirit beasts.
"They've been with you the longest, but they're a bit lacking in strength. Once they're here, I'll be the big brother and help you keep them in line," Little White Ape fantasized.
"You might not be able to boss around all the spirit beasts, though," Lu Xuan said with a smile.
Aside from the enigmatic Disaster-grade Evil Spirit and the Little Thousand-Hand Devil, the Thunder Dragon Sahe and the Green-Peak Qilin were already stronger than Little White Ape, not to mention the unpredictable strength of the spirit beasts Lu Xuan had yet to summon.
"Oh, really? Just watch me!"
Little White Ape turned over, his jade-like eyes now sparkling with fighting spirit.
"Easy! I'll just beat them all!"
He exclaimed confidently, twirling a wooden stick in his hand.
"Now, now, let's just feed them some spirit fruits first. I don't think you're ready to take on that tiger spirit beast just yet," Lu Xuan quickly soothed.
"I was just playing! If I wanted to fight, I'd beat it every time," Little White Ape huffed, performing a flourish with his stick.
"Alright, alright!"
Lu Xuan quickly appeased the excited ape.
With Little White Ape's arrival, the once quiet cave abode was now filled with life and laughter, and Lu Xuan's mood improved significantly.
"Oh, right, Master, I forgot to tell you!"
Little White Ape reached behind his back and produced three Heart Ape Fruit spirit seeds.
"That old guy left these three Heart Ape Fruit spirit seeds to me. Master, as a Spirit Herbalist, I'm sure you can put them to good use!"
"And when we have more Monkey Demon Wine, I want to be the first to drink my fill!"
Lu Xuan was pleasantly surprised by this unexpected bonus. He had been thinking about the Monkey Demon Wine formula he had seen in the Heart Ape Fruit's light sphere, and now with these main ingredients, he could brew a substantial batch once the fruits matured.
"Absolutely, I promise,"
He assured Little White Ape with a smile.
