"What is it?" Vice Admiral Wulang asked, looking at Luffy.
"I just remembered—doesn't that Incense Burner admiral seem pretty close to this Radiant Admiral? Back at Shabondy, we were first scattered by the Radiant Admiral. Then when we tried departing, we almost got scattered again by this Incense Burner Admiral. They're amazing!" Luffy exclaimed.
"It's Golden Lion! He's a Vice Admiral!!"
Kuro glared furiously. "Keep talking nonsense, and I'll cut you down!!"
"Hohohohoho!"
Suddenly, Kaido roared with laughter, tyrannical force radiating outward. His lower body transformed into a dragon tail mid-incarnation, accelerating forward as he swung his Wolf's Spirit Thundercloud downward.
Kuro narrowed his eyes and slashed backward with his Yokai Blade, intercepting the strike.

The immense force made his body sink, his feet carving a circular depression into the ground.
Kaido's dragon form contracted mid-spin. His entire body twisted, generating tremendous force as his Wolf's Spirit Thundercloud shoved Kuro's blade aside. His lower body rotated powerfully, his dragon tail whipping around to release a vortex of razor-sharp wind blades.
"Destructive Wind!"
Kuro seized the opening from the deflection, retreating explosively as his Yokai Blade became a blur of afterimages, slicing through the incoming wind blades.
"Ha!!"
Kaido's eyes flared. His dragon tail lashed out with a whip kick, striking Kuro before he could recover his stance.
"You bastard—"
Kuro felt the force slam through him, his teeth clenched tightly. He thrust his Yokai Blade forward, stabbing at Kaido's wound and drawing a streak of blood.
Boom!
His body was kicked backward, but as he flew away, suddenly the sky rained down countless weapons—exploding with fury—crashing down on Kaido.
"Heat Breath!"
Kaido roared skyward, exhaling a massive wisp of flame that vaporized the descending weapons completely.
Meanwhile, the flying Kuro lunged back, blinking to Kaido's flank. His body low, blade raised, he twisted his form in a drunken arc.
"Drunken Gourd Lift!"
Hiss!
The Yokai Blade, radiating killing intent, carved a wound across Kaido's waist.
"Hmph!!"
As the slash landed, Kaido growled. He clamped a hand around Kuro's face, slamming him hard downward.
Crash!
The ground cratered under Kuro's head as Kaido let go. The Wolf's Spirit Thundercloud, crackling with black thunder, swung downward in a brutal strike.
"Thunderous Trigrams!"
Boom!!
The Iron Mace slammed into the ground, unleashing a massive shockwave. The initial crater expanded into a massive pit, with a huge crack splitting the center. But the mace only struck an afterimage.
Kuro's body, lying in the crater, seemed to evaporate like mist, disintegrating into wisps.
"Swallow Return!"
Above Kaido, Kuro reappeared, Yokai Blade clenched for a downward strike. The single blade split into three slashes—then those three became countless strikes raining down on Kaido's upper body.

Instinctively, Kaido guarded his face with his left arm. His body trembled as the black thunder-like Haki encasing him erupted violently. The slashes clattered against him like metallic rain.
Kuro flipped mid-air, quickly sheathing his Yokai Blade at his waist. His left hand mimicked a scabbard's mouth as he bent one leg, gliding forward like a ghostly wraith.

As the Yokai Blade began to unsheathe, Kaido's tail lashed out, striking Kuro's body. The blow froze him mid-motion, his movements faltering.
The arm shielding his head lowered slightly, revealing Kaido's fierce, cunning gaze.
Crack!!
Kaido's arm extended, slamming an elbow into Kuro's chest. The impact drove Kuro's body inward, a streak of blood escaping his lips.
"I'll kill you!!"
Yet this only made his eyes burn redder. His fingers moved lightning-fast across the Yokai Blade, releasing a golden glow. He withstood the punch's force, his body sinking as the blade flashed a golden streak downward across Kaido's chest.

The golden line sliced through Kaido, creating a fresh wound that spurted blood.
"Thunderous Trigrams!!"
Staggered by the slash, Kaido counterattacked with a swing of his Wolf's Spirit Thundercloud.
Kuro's body shot upward at extreme speed, leaping high for another strike. "You think I'll let you hit me?!"

Continuing like this would achieve nothing—Kuro's strikes were too few, while Kaido's punches threatened to break his body. That brute force was no joke.
His physical constitution simply couldn't match this monster's.
