At the center of that golden light stood Lucius Kro, his entire body radiating brilliance!
Kuro shot forward instantly, but before he could speak, his hair stood on end. His body spun, dodging to the side of Gramps’ glowing figure. The Yokai Blade sheathed with a clang, his stance lowered, assuming the Iaijutsu draw-cut position.
“Bakegas!!!”
The island’s golden radiance shattered outward like glass. Charlotte·Big Mom and Kaido swung their Weapons simultaneously, unleashing twin shockwaves shaped like massive fans—laced with Black Thunder and White Flame—that roared through the sky, crashing toward the two figures above.
The two combatants grinned arrogantly at Kuro and Lucius Kro.
This technique’s power was terrifying!
It brimmed with Conqueror’s Haki and explosive Haki impacts. Any ordinary fighter would be overwhelmed by this Aoe onslaught.
Not all power was equal.
Honestly, few could withstand such a clash. Only Kuro could endure it—anyone from the Worst Generation caught off-guard wouldn’t just be knocked unconscious or imprisoned. They’d be obliterated.
Now, the combined Bakegas technique
No one could block it head-on!
There was no escape either—the range was too vast. At this impact speed, even if they dodged, they’d be caught mid-motion.

Kuro roared.
“Oh~ Kuro.”
The golden light beside him suddenly shifted its Laser Barrage, enveloping Kuro in radiant energy. In an instant, Kuro unsheathed his Yokai Blade, summoning a golden Vermilion Bird streaked with black patterns and exuding bloodthirsty aura. Yet as the Phoenix formed, golden light engulfed its entire body, blazing like a sun, its crimson and black patterns pulsating across its frame.
“Heavenly Eight-Span Crow!!!”
Kuro bellowed. The Yokai Blade slashed, and the radiant bird flapped its wings, emitting a resonant hum as it surged toward the incoming Bakegas shockwave.
After fighting alongside Gramps for so long, their synergy was flawless. Even untested techniques needed no explanation—like how he and Yi Xiao fought in perfect harmony, their abilities naturally complementary.
Though his and Gramps’ abilities weren’t as perfectly aligned, they were more than sufficient.
The Great Vermilion Bird Funeral Cry was originally a slashing attack. But under Gramps’ enhancement, the slash transformed into a dense barrage of laser beams, altering its form entirely.
Boom!!!
The radiant bird and shockwave collided, erupting into a deafening explosion. Golden light and Black Thunder White Flame twisted together, forming a colossal whirling sphere—a swirling vortex of black, gold, and white strands—that expanded explosively across the sky.
Rumble!!
Sea water howled. Wano Country’s Inland Sea surged violently. The sky darkened, lightning splitting through the gloom, while the turbulent heavens and ocean fixated on that singular radiant sphere.
“What’s happening? What’s happening?!”
Back in Wano Country, Nami, Chopper, and Usopp clutched their heads, trembling at the sky’s ominous shift.
Though they couldn’t see the battle, its oppressive aura sent chills down their spines.
“This….”
Zoro, Sanji, and Law sweated profusely, instinctively gazing in the battle’s direction. Their bodies shivered involuntarily.
They didn’t want to believe it—but their instincts screamed this was a catastrophe!

When the radiant sphere above Wano’s Inland Sea swelled to an immense size, it shattered like a bubble.
The oppressive aura reached its peak, then detonated.
Sea water surged into towering tsunamis and whirlpools. The sky rumbled with muffled thunder, as if the world were ending. Howling winds roared, hurling seawater skyward before it rained down in torrents.
As the Laser Rain ceased, the sea and sky gradually calmed, returning to eerie stillness.
The once-mighty island now floated in shattered fragments, its surface pockmarked like a honeycomb, on the verge of disintegration. At its edge, Kaido and Big Mom stood—Kaido’s beard and dragon whiskers flaring wildly, his horns grotesquely menacing; Big Mom’s white-flame hair wild, her blade thirsting for blood, her face twisted like a demonic hag.
A vision of twin infernal fiends!
Yet the figures in the sky were no paradisiacal saviors to oppose them.
Kuro gripped his bloodstained Yokai Blade, his crimson eyes blazing. The cross at his brow and crescent marks on his cheeks radiated an eerie aura. His chest’s twisted sun symbol glowed blood-red, exuding a murderous aura like a ravenous demon—Asura incarnate, the Ming King descended!
Beside him stood Lucius Kro.
He pushed his chestnut-brown sunglasses down his nose, smirking lazily: “Oh~ Scared me there!”
He looked utterly ridiculous.
“What’s with that outfit, Gramps!” Kuro glared at Lucius Kro, who had just reined in his radiant energy, gritting his teeth. “You don’t look injured at all!”
Lucius Kro wore a traditional yellow-striped Wano garment with a gray haori, his clothes pristine, as if he’d been leisurely strolling through Wano for days—no sign of injury.
“Old man was hurt, so I was resting. But you rushed over before I could finish explaining, so old man had to hurry here too. Otherwise, I’d have waited till their celebration started and snuck away quietly. C’mon, Kuro, old man’ll compensate you!” Lucius Kro chuckled.
Resting? Leisurely?
“Had to rush over?!”
Kuro nearly grabbed Lucius Kro’s collar, his lip twitching furiously. “Do you even know what I’ve been through these days?! I just got ambushed by that bastard Marshall D. Teach! I’m still injured, and I came here anyway! You think these two are some joke? They’re the Four Emperors! This is life-or-death!”
“C’mon, old man heard the commotion and made it just in time,” Lucius Kro smiled.
Your grin says otherwise, old man!
Kuro’s eye twitched. “Fine. Let’s retreat first. We can’t stay here!”
“Doubt it’ll be that easy.”
Lucius Kro pointed downward, smirking. “Those two won’t let us leave so freely.”
Below, Kaido and Charlotte·Big Mom’s auras surged skyward, nearly piercing the heavens.
“Horohorohoro! The coward hiding in the shadows finally shows himself! Let’s finish you all together!!” Kaido roared.
“Mamamama! Indeed!” Charlotte·Big Mom’s eyes gleamed with malice.
