Chapter 942: The Radiant Sky and Belsavis
Chapter 942: The Radiant Sky and Belsavis
Belsavis is completely different from her sister, Vel'koz.
Vel'koz embodies the chaos, distortion, and void, while Belsavis represents the noble and kind side of the void. They are like the yin and yang of good and evil.
Su Yu didn't come to see her because of these moral differences. What truly mattered to him was that Belsavis was the most skilled tailor in the entire game, the only one who had reached the Divine Artisan level.
He wanted to craft a complete set of divine-level equipment, and he wouldn't be satisfied unless it was made by the best tailor in the game.
A few days ago, Su Yu had intended to come directly to see her, but before he left, he remembered his promise to Elise and decided to visit Sharan on the way.
Sharan was a peak Grandmaster tailor. Out of respect for Elise, she had planned to personally help Su Yu craft his set.
However, when Su Yu arrived, he politely declined her offer, saying he was going to find a better tailor.
Sharan was furious at the time.
Everyone knew that she was the most skilled tailor in the Evolution World. Could Su Yu really find someone better? Was he just trying to fool her?
But when Su Yu mentioned Belsavis's name and revealed that she was a Divine Artisan, Sharan was utterly shocked!
Sharan had been stuck at the peak Grandmaster level for several centuries. She had read many books left behind by Divine Artisans but had never found her own path to advancement.
No Divine Artisan had been born in the main plane for several millennia, so she had no one to learn from.
Now, she learned that there was a Divine Artisan in the Void Plane!
If she could meet this Divine Artisan in person, perhaps she could finally find her path to advancement!
With this thought, she begged Su Yu to take her along to meet the Divine Artisan.
Su Yu didn't want to bring this burden and politely refused without hesitation.
Sharan then pleaded desperately, not only for herself but also by enlisting Elise's help.
Out of respect for Elise, Su Yu reluctantly agreed to bring this "burden" to the Void.
...
After about half an hour, the "burden" finally appeared on the floating stone where Su Yu was sitting.
As soon as she arrived, Sharan said apologetically, "I'm sorry for being late. The distance was quite far, so it took me some extra time."
Then, she took out a dark purple bag from her spatial ring and shook it in front of the cat, Morning Star.
"Morning Star, this is the Void Fish I caught. It was personally raised by the Void Empress, Vel'koz. Would you like to try it?"
"What? Void Fish?!" Morning Star's eyes lit up!
She had eaten countless fish in her life, but she had never tasted a Void Fish, especially one raised by the Void Empress herself!
The Void Empress Vel'koz's signature ability was to summon a Void Fish from the corpse of every enemy she killed. The more she killed, the more Void Fish she summoned, and their endless army devoured plane after plane.
She never imagined she would get to taste one today!
Morning Star transformed into a streak of starlight and pounced into Sharan's arms, her claws reaching into the bag to pull out the dark purple Void Fish.
Smelling the unique scent of these special fish, Morning Star was incredibly excited!
"Morning Star, calm down!" Su Yu couldn't help but twitch his lips at her behavior. "You're a divine-level cat. Try to maintain some dignity and composure, okay?"
"Got it, got it!" Morning Star casually replied, already stuffing a Void Fish into her mouth.
"Let's go," Su Yu said, shaking his head as he stood up from the floating stone. "We're going to visit the Void Empress's sister, Belsavis. Her residence is not far from here."
"Ah! We're really going to meet the Divine Artisan tailor?" Sharan's face was flushed with excitement.
Seeing Sharan's excited expression, Su Yu sighed. "Sharan, try to calm down. You're a seventh-rank Archmage and a peak Grandmaster tailor. Don't act like a teenage girl, okay?"
"Mind your own business! Let's go!" Sharan urged him, unable to contain her impatience.
...
Half an hour later, the two and the cat arrived at a pure white hall at the edge of the Void.
The interior of the hall was entirely white, bathed in a dense, radiant light, completely different from the dark and chaotic atmosphere of the Void.
Sharan looked around, unable to suppress her amazement. "Wow, I never thought we'd actually see a place like this in the void!"
"Is that so surprising?" Morningstar, the cat, had just finished her 36th Void Fish and turned to look at her. "This place just has a lot more holy light. What's so strange about that?"
"Of course it's strange," Sharan scratched under Morningstar's chin and explained, "Morningstar, can you imagine a completely dry patch of sand deep in the ocean? That's the feeling I get here."
"Actually, there's no need to be so astonished," Su Yu said calmly as he continued walking. "Everything has two sides, and extremes always lead to their opposites. We're now on the other side of the void, a place teeming with life."
Inside the hall, many holy light creatures floated around. When they saw Su Yu and his companions, a Holy Light Jellyfish drifted over to ask what they wanted.
Su Yu explained his purpose in detail.
Noticing Su Yu and Morningstar's strength, the Holy Light Jellyfish didn't outright refuse but asked them to wait while it went to inform its superiors.
After about three minutes, the two humans and the cat were granted permission to enter the hall, guided by the Holy Light Jellyfish through a corridor of holy light.
They eventually reached a room at the end of a holy light corridor, where they met Belveth, the sister of the Void Empress, known as the Light of the Sky.
Belveth looked very similar to her sister, with a pair of proud wings on her back, a human-like upper body, and a lower body resembling a giant Void Fish.
The main difference was that Belveth's entire body shimmered with a golden glow, with only gold and white colors, and she was surrounded by a thick aura of holy light. Her sister, the Void Empress, had a dark purple appearance, typical of a void creature.
Seeing the two humans and the cat enter, Belveth flapped her holy light wings and slowly flew over to them.
As she flew, she respectfully bowed to them. "Greetings, two noble god-level beings. May I know your names?"
Su Yu returned her bow with a mage's salute and smiled. "Greetings, Master Belveth. I am the newly ascended god-level bane, and this one on my shoulder is the newly ascended god-level Morningstar. As for this one... she's my assistant, Sharan."
"Assistant..." Sharan was momentarily speechless, not expecting Su Yu to introduce her like that. She glared at him angrily but didn't take it further.
"Oh, so you're the Bane!" Belveth's wings trembled slightly, and she looked at Su Yu with a hint of surprise.
Although she lived in the void, she was well aware of Su Yu's existence. After all, someone who could not be killed and always resurrected was a significant figure that every god-level being paid close attention to.
Belveth wasn't a god-level being yet, but she had been following Su Yu's activities for a long time, never expecting him to visit her personally today.
...
Morningstar, the cat, suddenly got a craving when she saw Belveth's lower body, which resembled a Void Fish.
She had already eaten a lot of Void Fish, but they were all pure void-flavored.
Now, seeing this "Holy Light Void Fish," she immediately wanted to taste it, her eyes gradually emitting a dangerous glow.
Belveth noticed the cat's gaze and was immediately alarmed.
Fortunately, Su Yu was quick and swiftly put Morningstar into the pet space, avoiding an awkward situation.
Seeing Morningstar leave, Belveth let out a sigh of relief and patted her broad chest.
"So, Lord Bane, what brings you to my humble abode?" she asked respectfully.
"Master Belveth, I know you are a divine-level tailor, capable of crafting god-level cloth armor sets," Su Yu replied politely. "I recently ascended to the god-level, and I've come to ask you to make a set of such armor for me."
"Oh? To make armor?" Belveth frowned. "But Lord Bane, don't you know that I stopped making armor many years ago?"
Belveth had stopped making armor for outsiders over 300 years ago, retiring to a life of leisure.
Perhaps Su Yu didn't know, so she reminded him.
She also asked curiously, "Lord Bane, how did you know I am a divine-level tailor?"
"It's been centuries since I last helped anyone sew equipment; I shouldn't have much of a reputation anymore," Beilvis said, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
Su Yu smiled. "I know about this because I have the gift of prophecy."
"Prophecy?"
"Yes. Not only did I learn through prophecy that you are a Divine Artisan-level tailor, but I also know that you desperately need something—the Heart of the Great Demon Ankdir. Am I right?"
"!!!"
Beilvis's entire body trembled violently at Su Yu's words. She staggered backward, her face draining of all color.
"How? How did you know that?" Beilvis's voice cracked with emotion.
Su Yu smiled and shook his head calmly. "I told you, I'm a seer. If I want to know something in this world, I will know it."
"Is that so?" Beilvis pressed a hand to her heart and took a deep breath.
The name "Great Demon Ankdir" was a deep, painful wound for her. When she was young, her life's path was irrevocably altered by Ankdir.
Back then, she was young and innocent. Tempted by Ankdir, she fell into darkness, losing her most precious possession and sinking into the abyss for over a century.
If not for Ankdir, she could have easily ascended to the divine realm like her sister, becoming one of the most powerful beings in the Void Realm.
But because of Ankdir, Beilvis was only at the peak of the Seventh Stage, with no hope of ever reaching the divine realm.
Her hatred for Ankdir was so intense that the term "hate to the bone" was an understatement.
She never expected to hear the name of that demon from Su Yu's lips today.
...
At that moment, outside the temple, the void energy raged like a stormy sea.
A massive shadow appeared outside the temple, causing the entire Void Realm to tremble!
This shadow was none other than the Empress of the Void herself.
As the ruler of the Void Realm, how could the Empress not know that Su Yu, along with a cat, had entered her sister's residence? Su Yu had not hidden his presence.
If it weren't for Su Yu's connection with Sharan and Chenxing, she would have killed Sharan on the spot when she tried to steal a Void Fish from her residence a few days ago!
Considering Su Yu's near-immortality, even the Empress couldn't do anything to him and dared not offend him lightly.
She had not directly approached Su Yu but had been observing his every move from the shadows.
Feeling a massive emotional shift from her sister, the Empress immediately appeared, fearing an unexpected incident!
Sensing her sister's presence outside the temple, Beilvis quickly suppressed her turbulent emotions.
She used her mental powers to inform her sister of what was happening inside the temple.
Upon learning that Su Yu had no ill intentions and had mentioned the Heart of Ankdir, the Empress calmed down and did not barge in to confront Su Yu.
...
Su Yu, of course, had sensed the Empress's arrival.
However, he had anticipated her appearance and remained completely calm.
Sharan, on the other hand, was startled by the Empress's presence.
But after a moment's thought, she realized that if the sky fell, Su Yu would catch it, so she stopped worrying.
"Respected Sir Kexing, you... you mentioned the Heart of Ankdir?" Beilvis asked Su Yu, her voice trembling more with each word.
The Heart of Ankdir contained the most precious thing to her—a fragment of her soul.
Because of the missing fragment, Beilvis's soul was incomplete, which was the greatest and insurmountable obstacle to her divine ascension.
If she could retrieve the Heart of Ankdir and reclaim that fragment, she could reshape her complete soul and quickly ascend to the divine realm!
Now, seeing a glimmer of hope, her voice trembled even more.
"Yes, Lady Beilvis," Su Yu said with a kind smile. "Not only did I mention the Heart of Ankdir, but I can also help you obtain it. To be honest, the demon's heart is right here in my backpack. If you help me sew the suit, I can hand it over to you at any time."
Su Yu opened a small flap on his backpack.
Beilvis used her mental powers to probe lightly and immediately sensed the heart she had yearned for over a thousand years!
And within the heart, her fragment of soul was still there!
