Kuro now held his scabbard in hand, snapping the Yokai Blade into its sheath. In an instant, his form vanished, transforming into a howling windstorm that tore through the battlefield.
"One Cut!"
Kaido’s pupils contracted. Gripping his iron wolf mace with both hands, he swung it downward in a crushing arc.
"Thunderous Trigrams!!"
Black lightning crackled across the mace, dense and seething, as it crashed into the air itself.
Dang!!!
A sharp, metallic clash rang out. Suddenly, a black-backed, crimson-edged Long Blade materialized in front of the wolf mace. The blade and mace collided—but not directly. Instead, they clashed through a layer of compressed air.
Where the weapons met, black thunder and crimson wind entangled in a fierce struggle before erupting into a shockwave that sent Kuro reeling backward. Meanwhile, Kaido’s lower body transformed into Azure Dragon Condition, his upper body rapidly shifting as well until he fully became the Azure Dragon, stretching across heaven and earth.
"Hohohohoho! You’ve used Killing Intent’s Encasement, Kuro! Have you suddenly gotten much stronger?!"
Kuro hovered midair, flicking his wrist to send a wisp-like slash flying forward. "Old Man, this is the result of biding my time!"
"Heat Breath!"
Kaido spewed a pillar of flame from his jaws, nullifying the slash. Then he surged upward, stirring the sky’s cloud layer as his Azure Dragon Body concealed itself within.
Boom!!
Purple lightning pierced through the clouds, striking downward at Kuro.
"You dare use that move again? Do you think I’m the same as back then?!"
Kuro’s eyes flared. The Yokai Blade slashed downward, unleashing a storm of slashes that blocked the lightning.
Back then, his failed plan had led to him being slapped away by a bear, first landing in Whitebeard’s territory before clashing with Kaido. That same move had snuck through his defenses, smashing his head through countless rocks and earth.
But now, are you really trying this again?

Kuro pressed his palm downward. A massive island plummeted from above, crashing into the cloud layer and striking Kaido’s form, forcing him to descend rapidly from the clouds.

The thundercloud Zeus he had previously slashed apart hadn’t fully recovered yet, but Charlotte·Big Mom’s massive fist-shaped body floated in midair, swinging its arm. Winds swirled around her form.
"Mamamama! Excellent work, Anemii!" Charlotte·Big Mom roared with laughter.
She wasn’t just relying on Napoleon, Prometheus, and Zeus anymore!
Back in Dressrosa, she had gained two additional soul constructs.
One was Okeanos, a sea-water construct, and the other was Anemii, composed of wind.
Without clouds, she could still fly!
Seizing this opening, Kaido twisted his body, actually flying downward through the falling island. He released several Heat Breath pillars toward Kuro, who flashed through the air to evade. Floating midair, Kaido continued his descent, roaring at Charlotte·Big Mom who was rising back up.
"Big Mom!"
"Mamamama! I understand!"
Charlotte·Big Mom flew onto the massive island carried by Kaido’s back. She thrust her hand forward, sending a soul construct surging into the island.
Meanwhile, Kuro, who had just prepared to activate his ability to launch the island skyward, froze—he had lost control over this portion of the island!
"Mother!"
The island’s surface formed a smiling human face. As Kaido twisted his body, he sent the entire island plummeting toward the sea.
"You want to use my island as a battlefield?!" Kuro spread his five fingers wide. Below, the Grand Line surged upward, forming a massive vortex.
"Okeanos!" Charlotte·Big Mom roared. From within the churning Grand Line vortex, a massive wave surged forward, halting the vortex entirely. The seawater rose, forming a humanoid shape with a face.
"Mother!"
The seawater construct called out, immediately grabbing and supporting the falling island.
"Slash Wave!!"
Kuro slashed forward, unleashing a massive crescent slash.
He couldn’t let them stand on solid ground—otherwise, things would get extremely complicated!
Islands could be destroyed easily enough!
At that moment, Kaido’s form descended at full speed. His body transformed into a hybrid dragonman in Human-Beast Form, gripping the iron wolf mace crackling with black thunder. He swung the mace directly at the massive slash.
"Thunderous Trigrams!"

The iron wolf mace smashed through the slash like breaking glass, unleashing a shockwave that scattered smoke and dust across the island below.
Kaido hovered momentarily in midair before crashing heavily to the ground, his face twisting into a malevolent grin as he faced the sky.

"Feels so exhilarating, Big Mom!"
Kaido’s eyes burned with intense battle intent. "Brings back memories!"
"Mamamama! Indeed! It’s starting to get exciting!" Charlotte·Big Mom laughed heartily.
"Tch!" Kuro clicked his tongue, his expression darkening.
No chance now.
Breaking through their defenses seemed impossible.
Plus, with the seawater construct supporting the island, Kuro couldn’t retreat. Long-range attrition would be futile—he’d just waste resources from the 【Heavenly Treasure Vault】.
"Hey, Kuro!" Kaido roared upward. "Come down and fight! Or are you scared?!"
Kuro’s gaze flicked toward Wano Country’s main island in the distance. His crimson eyes deepened further.
"Scared? I, Kuro, have never feared anyone!"
He declared, descending to the battlefield to face the two Four Emperors head-on. His crimson gaze locked onto them. "Perfect. You injured Gramps. If I don’t leave something behind, it’d be disrespectful!"
Running to find Gramps and retreating?
Would I really accept that loss?
He wasn’t afraid—not truly. Cowardice and fear were different. If he felt fear, Charlotte·Big Mom’s soul ability would’ve already extracted his soul.
More importantly, Gramps hadn’t made a move yet. Was he injured too severely to act? Or had the massive stone column stretching across heaven and earth gone unnoticed?

Simultaneously, his body descended into a stance, two fingers raised before his chest. His crimson eyes burned with ruthless intent.
"Come on! Let me slaughter you both!!"
He’s been overcome by bloodlust the whole time!
