Chapter 933: "You Just Wait for Me There"
Chapter 933: "You Just Wait for Me There"
"Is Gramps injured?"
Kuro's first reaction was to think it was a joke, but the tone didn't sound fake. It seemed... weakened.
Kuro's voice darkened. "Where are you?"
"Ah, old man's in Wano Country. Originally came to scope out Wano's movements, but it got scary—Kaido and Big Mom actually teamed up! This is huge. Old man wasn't lucky enough to dodge, got hit by their combo, and now he's hiding in Wano Country."
The Transponder Snail's voice remained its usual sleazy tone, but Kuro could faintly sense Gramps' struggle through its mimicry.
"You're kidding, right? Can't you just escape?"
As he spoke, Kuro's body was already ascending.
"Two of them blocked me. Old man got careless and took a hit. Sure, I could force a retreat, but it'd leave me even more injured. You're at G-3, right? Come support me directly."
Lucius Kro chuckled casually.
Kuro snapped at the Transponder Snail, "Marshall D. Teach came to attack here. I just finished fighting him. G-3 is gone now."
"Oh? That complicates things. Well then, old man will just—"
"You just wait for me there! I'm coming now!"
Snap!
Before Lucius Kro could finish, Kuro slammed the Transponder Snail shut, closed the cover on his wrist device, and summoned a wispstone platform that soared toward Dracule Mihawk.
"Hurry up, Dracule Mihawk. Your speed's too slow."
Dracule Mihawk's eyes flickered as he stepped onto the stone platform. "Wano Country? That wasn't in our original contract, but if you agree to fight me afterward, I'll help."
"Just make sure Lida and the others get back to Headquarters. Marshall D. Teach's location is still unknown!"
Kuro gestured, and the stone platform carrying Dracule Mihawk shot toward G-3 at extreme speed.
Boom! Boom!
The Palm-Shaped Continent rose upward, lifting the fallen Weapons back into the sky alongside it.
Kuro soon flew back to G-3 and clicked his tongue, his expression darkening.
What remained of G-3 was now just a shattered desert island about to collapse. The fortress and buildings lay in ruins, reduced to jagged shards protruding from the sand.
The only things still standing were the massive Golden Lion flagship at the port and its two warships.
G-3 had been completely obliterated—along with the island itself.
"Kuro!"
Lida spotted the flying figure at the island's edge, her face lighting up. "You made it back down! Good!"
"Take everyone back to Headquarters. Try to rendezvous with Fleet Admiral Sakazuki."
Kuro waved his hand, letting the stone platform carrying Dracule Mihawk land. "The Seven Warlords should go too. Klah, get the Log Pose for the nearest base from the ship."
"Yes, Mr. Kuro."
Klah adjusted his glasses and ran toward the Golden Lion.
G-3's fortress had originally stored Log Poses for Wano Country, Totto Land, and even Marshall D. Teach's Beehive Island stronghold. But with the fortress destroyed, those stored pointers were gone—fragile things couldn't survive such explosive force.
Still, the Golden Lion had its own Log Pose for nearby bases. Kuro could use that.
"Kuro, what are you doing?" Lida asked, concern in her eyes. She noticed the crimson lingering in his gaze.
Was he still too worked up?
Kuro gritted his teeth. "Gramps got ambushed in Wano Country. Kaido and Big Mom hit him hard together, forcing him into hiding. I'm going to bring him back."
His last words were bitten out, making everyone's hearts race. Pure killing intent radiated from him.
But what shocked them more was the intelligence he revealed.
"Kaido!" Gecko Moria's eyes widened, his voice grim. "Kaido's involved?"
"Teaming up...?" Crocodile murmured thoughtfully. "Like Rocks?"
"Hey, I've heard that name before!" Buggy blinked. "My old captain mentioned it!"
"I'm coming with you!" Lida blurted instinctively, then shook her head. "No, you go. Be careful."
Against two enemies, she'd only be a burden. Kuro could handle retreat alone with Lucius Kro.
"Mr. Kuro, here's the Log Pose for nearby bases."
Klah ran back from the Golden Lion, holding the pointer.
Kuro waved his hand, and the pointer flew to circle around him.
"Lida." Kuro added, blood trickling from his mouth again.
"Got it!"
Lida vanished like a shadow, becoming a blur as she streaked through the Navy ranks.
"Borrow your energy for a second!"
She didn't spare even the Seven Warlords, her afterimage brushing against them as she siphoned their energy.
"This ability..."
Crocodile's eyes widened as his essence spirit drained away—not just physical strength, but his core vitality. Even his Haki's release became sluggish from the willpower consumption.
Even Boa Hancock frowned, almost angry, but seeing Kuro's crimson glare and impatient expression, she swallowed her temper.
Pride aside, she knew better than to provoke him now.
"Ahh!"
Buggy face-planted, ass in the air, arms reaching skyward. He looked like a wilted corpse. "Energy... gone!"
Joe Rudolph stiffened, realizing his own essence fading, but kept his composure.
But inside, he was stunned.
This white-haired woman was the bane of unarmed fighters!
Touching her meant gradual weakening for them, and growing strength for her.
Golden Lion's subordinates sure had some terrifying specialists...
"Got it!"
After siphoning everyone, Lida leapt up and slammed her palm into Kuro's chest.
Buzz!
A flood of essence surged into him, his face regaining color as internal injuries healed. What remained would heal with time, but he was fully operational now.
"Alright, you all leave now. Don't linger here long—Marshall D. Teach might try another gamble."
If time permitted, he'd wait here for Teach, but dragging him until Sakazuki arrived would finish Teach for good.
Now—no time for probabilities.
With the Log Pose secured, Kuro shot into the sky, his body blasting a shockwave through the air as he raced toward the designated course.
