Chapter 920: Follow Me, Comrades!
Chapter 920: Follow Me, Comrades!
The battlefield had descended into utter chaos—elite fighters locked in brutal duels while the lower ranks clashed in a chaotic melee.
Under Kas’s command, the Navysoldiers surged forward alongside the white energy, actively engulfing the pirates. Not all at once, but in calculated, strategic bites.
Once inside the white energy, Kas led the entire G-3 force through a storm of Acceleration and amplified abilities, swiftly trapping sections of the pirates in Pocket formations. The white energy surged forward, spitting out the pirates’ corpses before engulfing fresh waves of enemies.
This white Monster sent waves of fear through the advancing pirates, forcing them to retreat.
They had no choice but to fall back—the white energy deflected bullets, repelled blades, and shrugged off every attack. It moved like a beast, swallowing living men whole, leaving behind nothing but corpses in its wake. Its speed was terrifying. Who would dare face such a thing?
Though these pirates served under Blackbeard and prided themselves as subordinates of the New Four Emperors, they embodied the Blackbeard Pirates’ creed: strong men supremacy. Their loyalty depended on strength. Without it, why would they risk death?
Boom!
At that moment, Lafitte clashed with Klah, who danced across the battlefield using his Moonstep. Klah’s foot planted, his body blurring into an afterimage as his claws slashed a radiant arc forward. Lafitte unfurled his wings, diving sharply to land among the retreating pirates. With a flourish, he unsheathed his Cane, slicing the necks of several fleeing foes.
“Ohohoho, escape isn’t an option, my friends,” Lafitte cackled. “You’re Blackbeard Pirates—show the world your pride!”
“Calm Step.”
Sky’s Klah, seeing Lafitte evade, thrust his leg forward. His foot glowed with a pale blue light, erupting into a storm of blue slashes that rained chaos.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The slashes tore through the pirate ranks, sending bodies flying in all directions. Panic spread like wildfire.
Yet Lafitte’s expression remained cold. He resheathed his Cane, spinning it idly. “Here’s a deal—earn merit, and the Admiral will grant you strength. The Devil Fruit power you crave. Slay Golden Lion, and the Float-Float Fruit’s power will be yours.”
As the Cane twirled, the pirates’ eyes glazed over, pupils dilating.
“That’s right,” murmured the pirates, voices hollow. “Just defeat these men…”
Lafitte’s voice dripped with temptation. “Reputation, wealth, strength, status—everything you desire lies ahead. Kill them!”
“Kill Them!!” The pirates roared, turning with Crimson-tinted eyes, charging headlong into the white energy.
“Ohohoho—” Lafitte chuckled, halting his Cane’s spin. He tapped his boots rhythmically, then executed a crisp Lord dance move, bowing with a flourish. “Perfect.”
His hypnosis was swift and masterful.
“Superspeed Shave!”
Mid-air, Klah halted, feet snapping together before vanishing in a blur. His claws carved a wisptrailing light.
“Cross Slash!”
“Oh?!” Lafitte’s eyes narrowed. He gracefully stepped back, thrusting his Cane forward. Haki surged along its length, meeting the incoming strike head-on.
Crash!
Klah materialized, claws crossed, blocked by the Cane. A shockwave erupted.
“Terrifying power,” Lafitte sneered. “But I’ve always loved taming little dogs.”
Adjusting his hat, he grinned. “Back in the West Blue, unruly brutes like you only behave when broken… or dead. Brings back memories of my old West Blue security job.”
Once a Kingdom’s security chief, Lafitte had been exiled for excessive violence—a strong man through and through.
Klah felt it too.
He leapt back, legs snapping upward to unleash two Calm Steps.
Clang! Clang!
Lafitte deflected the slashes with casual strikes, advancing with a flick of his Cane. His sword flashed coldly, striking Klah as he struggled to regain balance.
Snap!
Klah clamped his legs together, blocking the thrust. Using the recoil, he soared upward, claws aiming straight for Lafitte’s head.
“Oh? Quick reflexes. Not bad, Black Wolf.”
Lafitte didn’t even glance at Klah’s strike. His Cane shot upward, piercing between Klah’s legs to stab his abdomen.
Klah tensed, Haki surging across his body. “Iron Body!”
Clang!
They crossed, Klah plummeting as blood seeped from his belly.
Lafitte turned, laughing. “Ohohoho—your Haki won’t save you!”
Whoosh!
A blood slash carved a crimson trail across Lafitte’s cheek. He smirked, wiping the scarlet smear with his fingers and licking it clean.
Klah crouched, blood on his fingers. He raised them to his lips, tongue flicking out, eyes darkening. His mouth curled, revealing fangs. “You’re still early, Lafitte!”
Boom!!!
A thunderous impact shook the earth. As the hypnotized pirates charged the white energy shield, the colossal San Juan Wolf—a fortress-sized Gigantic Warship—clenched his Fist and punched the white energy.
The collision erupted in a shockwave, rattling the entire G-3.
The white energy, a White Colossus, dented deeply, revealing the Navy inside.
“Tough stuff,” San Juan muttered, retracting his Fist.
At 180 meters tall, the San Juan Wolf was the largest giant ever discovered—a living warship of monstrous build and strength. That single punch sent tremors across the battlefield.
“This strength…” Lida, locked in combat with Basas, gasped. The white energy shield had resisted even his attempts to break through, yet this giant shattered it with one strike.
“Hahahahaha! Dire Wolf’s power is immense! That white energy’s defense is no joke!” Basas roared with dark amusement.
Both sides knew their comrades’ strengths—yet still, they marveled at the devastation.
The white energy began healing, but the hypnotized pirates surged inside before it could close. The white energy mended, but San Juan’s Fist crashed down again, tearing it open once more.
The shield was failing!
Kas gripped his saber, roaring to his allies: “In the name of persistent Justice! Comrades, follow me!”
Justice wasn’t meant to hide behind a shield—it demanded courage.
Kas didn’t dwell on the shield’s collapse. His mind raced with how to stop the wicked.
With the shield gone, only his Weapon and his comrades’ strength remained.
