Chapter 92: Collapse of the Twisted Ninja World, Obito
Chapter 92: Collapse of the Twisted Ninja World, Obito
"Scram, Junior! What nonsense are you spouting? How could the Third Raikage be a big dumb oaf? You little rascal!"
A gentle voice rang out, causing Obito's heart to freeze in the Ninja World.
That voice! It sounded similar to Rin, but it was softer and more mature.
Could it be... Rin from another world? Is she... still alive?
Is Rin from another world alive?
Thank goodness! She's alive! Obito's heart was filled with overwhelming joy.
Even though he knew that Rin from another world wasn't the same person as the Rin he knew, he couldn't help but stare intently at the image on the temporal communicator, his face filled with anticipation.
Damn that brat for speaking up! How could this happen? Damn it, Fifth Hokage, don't you dare turn around! Please, no!
Obito's body trembled with anxiety.
"Oh?"
Tsunade, unaware of Obito's thoughts, turned around instinctively, holding the temporal communicator.
At that moment, the device revealed the Uchiha clan.
Seeing the person who resembled Kakashi Hatake, dressed elegantly, with a gentle and happy smile on his face, and a little white-haired child by his side, Obito's initially joyful heart skipped a beat, and his pupils contracted violently.
"That guy must be Kakashi from another world, right?
Why is Rin sitting next to him, and why are they so close?
And who's that white-haired kid?
Why is Rin speaking to him with such doting words?
What's going on here?"
His voice trembled as his eyes instantly filled with bloodshot veins, staring at Obito.
Obito, with a face as white as his black mask, stared at the desperate Obito.
Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Why did you have to turn around, Fifth Hokage? This is the last thing I wanted to happen!
"The child of Kakashi and Rin from that world is named Uchiha Junior. Listen to me, Obito..."
Obito spoke bitterly.
"No! No! No! It's impossible! It can't be!
How could she be with that Kakashi brat?
And they have a white-haired kid together? Impossible! I refuse to accept this as truth! It's all lies! Hahaha! Everything is a lie!"
Obito didn't wait for Obito to finish and immediately fell into a frenzy.
Tears of blood fell from his eyes.
Upon seeing this, Obito also realized the seriousness of the situation. He instantly turned into a shadow and attached himself to Obito's body. Then, a whirlpool of air formed, and Obito disappeared without a trace.
Many ninjas from Konoha were startled by the sound of a scream that seemed to come from torture, but when they turned to look, they saw nothing.
Outskirts of Konoha.
Obito darted through the forest, his desperate howls echoing through the entire forest:
"It's all lies! Rin could never like Kakashi! She couldn't have borne his child! It's all lies!"
"Calm down, Obito! That's another world, and that Rin isn't the one you know!"
Obito, attached to Obito's body, said anxiously.
"It's a lie! It has to be! Don't try to deceive me with talk of another world! It's all fake! Hahaha! It's all lies! Hahaha!"
Tears of blood streamed down Obito's face as he laughed and wept uncontrollably.
Black Zetsu was stunned by the sight, his heart filled with apprehension. Could his thousand-year plan be ruined by this? What should he do?
Zetsu's mind, driven for a millennium by the desire to save his mother and shrouded in layer upon layer of conspiracy, raced for a solution. Finally, a spark of inspiration struck him.
"Yes, it's a lie! The real Rin is long dead. That Rin over there is just an imposter. Calm down, Obito!
Your Rin could never like Kakashi! She was killed by him! She should hate Kakashi, not love him!"
Upon hearing this, Obito, who had been running wildly, stopped and glared with anger. "Yes, Kakashi killed my Rin. How could she possibly like him? Damn Kakashi!"
"Exactly. That Rin is an imposter," Zetsu continued.
Obito gradually calmed down, and his eyes began to gleam with hatred.
"That imposter... I'll kill her! How dare she pretend to be my Rin! I'll kill her!"
"Yes! Get rid of her, but you also saw that the imposter has many powerful allies, didn't you?"
"That experiment of Orochimaru's and the Third Raikage are indeed strong. The current Akatsuki can't handle them, even with Nagato's Rinnegan. His physical condition probably won't allow it."
Obito whispered, his brows furrowed in thought.
"So we must harness the power of the tailed beasts! We must accelerate our plan. Once it's complete, that fake Rin and her Empire will be destroyed! No one can stand against the true power of a god!"
Black Zetsu spoke enticingly.
"Yes, with the true power of a god! So, what's your plan?" Obito asked.
"It'll take some time for the Empire's people to arrive in the Ninja World. We can use this window of opportunity to capture all the tailed beasts.
"What about the Three-Tails? Do you have any news on that?"
"Currently, there's no sign of it. It should be with the other you from another world, or perhaps your imposter. Either way, we don't know its whereabouts at the moment." Black Zetsu replied.
"My imposter? I'll kill that scum too... I can't believe he lost to the other world's Kakashi and took Rin from me..." Obito muttered, his face twisted with hatred.
The two continued their discussion, eventually fading out of sight.
Not long after, on a massive stone palm...
Several shadows loomed tall.
Pain's cold voice echoed, "I trust you all understand my intentions?"
"Of course. I've been eager to capture the tailed beasts, but without Itachi by my side, I'd be facing them alone. To be honest, that would be quite challenging," Kisame said with a wide grin.
"You'll have new members joining you, so rest assured," Pain assured him, glancing at Uchiha Itachi once more. The purple Rinnegan eyes held a warning as he continued, "Itachi, come with me to Amegakure later. I have another mission for you."
"Understood," Itachi replied coldly, slowly closing his eyes.
That day, the entire Akatsuki organization sprang into action, launching swift and unexpected attacks on numerous jinchuriki.
One by one, the tailed beasts were captured.
The following night, in Konoha...
A group of ninjas dispersed from the temporal communicator.
Naruto Uzumaki stretched lazily, a look of excitement on his face. "That was amazing! The Empire's Martial Arts Tournament lasted for two whole days, and the battles between those powerful Empire warriors were incredible! I hope to stand on such a stage and fight alongside those mighty warriors someday."
"You, the dead last? Don't make me laugh," Kiba scoffed.
"Kiba, you jerk! Have you forgotten how I beat you?" Naruto glared at Kiba angrily.
"Hmph! You only won because you learned martial arts first. Once I master it, I might not lose to you so easily," Kiba retorted.
"Don't be so full of yourself," Ino chimed in, rolling her eyes. "Didn't you see how strong Naruto is in the other world? His wood-style jutsu is terrifying. One hit could probably destroy Konoha."
"Hehehe... Did you hear that, Kiba? They all think I'm stronger," Naruto boasted, delighted by his friends' comments.
"That's the Naruto from another world. It has nothing to do with you," Kiba argued.
"How does it have nothing to do with me? We're essentially the same person with different experiences. If I train hard enough, I can become just like him—a powerful Naruto!" Naruto countered.
"Pfft! You'll never reach that level," Kiba sneered.
"You jerk!" Naruto exclaimed.
The two bickered as they walked away.
Soon, the group of young ninjas parted ways, some resting and others continuing their training.
Inspired by the desire to become like the Naruto from the Empire, Naruto took a deep breath. Despite his exhaustion from maintaining the Wind Style: Breath Technique for an extended period while watching the tournament, he started running through the village.
"Come on! I can do this! I want to become a powerful ninja like Naruto-nii-san! Let's go! Let's go!" Naruto cheered himself on as he ran.
Suddenly, a figure appeared in the distance and called out to him, "Naruto!"
"Huh?"
Naruto turned and was surprised to see his brother, Obito.
A smile spread across his face as he greeted Obito, "Big brother Obito, where have you been? We haven't seen you in a while, not even at Rin-nee-san's grave."
"!"
Obito's expression darkened at the mention of Rin. "Damn imposter, daring to set your eyes on my Rin! As I thought, you're asking for death! I'll make sure to kill you!"
He seethed with anger, but forced a smile as he continued, "I... had some other matters to attend to. But now, I might need your help with something."
"Help? Sure thing! I'd be happy to help you, Big Brother Obito," Naruto said cheerfully.
Obito then led Naruto out of the village.
On the outskirts of Konoha, a ninja who had been training nearby furrowed his brows, watching the direction in which the two had left.
Shush! Naruto and Obito weaved through the forest for a while before finally coming to a stop. Obito slowly walked up to Naruto and placed a hand on his shoulder, causing the air around them to swirl.
Naruto didn't flinch but instead grinned, "Big brother Obito, what's this favor you need from me? Can you tell me now?"
"You've already helped me, Naruto..." Obito's voice trailed off as they vanished from the ninja world.
In a mysterious space filled with stone pillars, Naruto and Obito reappeared.
Naruto's eyes widened as he recognized the figures clad in black cloaks with red cloud patterns—members of the Akatsuki. Among them was Deidara, whom he had long wanted to teach a lesson for kidnapping Gaara. "How is this possible? Are you guys from Akatsuki?"
He turned to Obito, confusion and disbelief evident on his face. "Big brother Obito! What's going on? Why are you with the Akatsuki? Why did you bring me here?"
