Chapter 918: Moonstep
Chapter 918: Moonstep
“Tenfold!”
Behind that shield, Wilbur roared as he spread his arms wide. A wisp of Domain enveloped the nearby shooting squad.
“Fire!!”
Bang! Bang! Bang!!
Bullets amplified Tenfold struck like Cannonballs, forming a dense network that darkened the sky as they rained down on the pirates.
Suddenly, a massive Object appeared, riding atop the Cannonballs. Explosions detonated harmlessly against its Palm—towering as the white energy shield Kas had unleashed, its entire form rivaling a G-3 fortress.
‘Gigantic Warship’ San Juan Wolf!
Emerging from the sea, he arrived directly at the fortress, crouching in the plaza to block the barrage with his Palm.
“That hurts~” muttered the Chestnut Head dazedly.
Clang!
A crisp sound rang out nearby. Dracule Mihawk gripped his blade, clashing with Shiryu. His downward Black Blade strike forced Shiryu backward, but Mihawk immediately followed up with an upward slash. Shiryu sidestepped, countering with a head-chopping strike deflected by Mihawk’s crossed guard.
A smirk touched Mihawk’s lips. “Not bad.”
He’d longed for this duel—Rainbow Shiryu was a worthy swordsman.
“Wave Elbow Strike!”
Across the battlefield, Basuras drove his elbow forward. Haki-infused air currents erupted from his armguard’s apertures, unleashing chaotic shotgun-like blasts.
“Black Rope Heaven Flash!”
Lida’s body shimmered, multiplying into afterimages that evaded the assault. The impact tore deep holes through the fortress wall behind her.
“Essence Impact!!”
Lida reappeared high above, hands stacked as she slammed them downward. A rhombic shockwave blasted down.
Basuras grinned, unfazed. He countered with an upward elbow strike. The two forces collided in a thunderous explosion, shattering the shockwave.
Lida’s figure descended, leg raised high for a crushing kick. Basuras stepped back, adjusting stance as he met her mid-air with another elbow strike. Their attacks collided, sparking a thunderous boom.
“Evil Laugh, your unarmed combat techniques are impressive, White Whale!” Basuras taunted.
“Damn brute!” Lida scowled.
His external Haki releases kept her at bay—close-range was her forte, but against this tank, proximity meant annihilation.
“Muruhuhu!”
Daidon lunged with her spear, but Boa Hancock seductively arched her back, legs splitting open from thigh to toe in a whip-kick.
“Filthy brute—don’t touch this one!”
Daidon spun her spear to block, but the weapon petrified under Hancock’s force, shattering into rubble.
Her ability wasn’t mere petrification—it was autonomous, relentless.
The kick continued unimpeded, heel slamming Daidon’s face despite a Haki shield. Blood sprayed as the brute’s face caved in.
“Hurts, doesn’t it?” Daidon grinned, spitting blood.
Before Hancock could retract, nine tails erupted—a phantom fox illusion. Frowning, Hancock kicked through them, striking nothing.
The tails vanished, Daidon with them.
“Gone?”
Hancock scanned the battlefield—combat raged, but Daidon had disappeared.
“Did that wench escape?” she muttered.
“Boa Hancock!!”
A familiar, trembling voice echoed. Her pupils constricted as she spotted the Sunlight Lion ship—Luffy grinning on its bow, waving:
“Boa Hancock, I came to help!!”
“Yaa~ Luffy Officer!!” Hancock blushed, swaying coquettishly.
But she snapped back. “Luffy, this is a Marine Base! You’ll be captured by Kuro! Leave—I can handle this!”
“Says who?” Luffy grinned. “I’m here to help Marshall D. Teach! Muruhuhu~”
“Sister Officer!!”
Marigold’s shout shattered the illusion—ship and Luffy dissolved into mist.
Marigold rushed over, concerned. “Sister Officer, what are you doing standing here?!”
“I—” Hancock’s expression darkened. “Unforgivable! That cursed Catarina Devon dared trap me in illusions, toying with my heart!”
Marigold nodded, producing a dagger. “Daidon’s unforgivable too! Muruhuhu~” She stabbed at Hancock’s back.
…
“Dark Water!”
Marshall D. Teach spread five fingers, darkness swirling into a vortex toward Kuro.
Kuro felt the pull dragging him forward—the Dark-Dark Fruit’s suction!
“This guy’s strength has grown!” Kuro gritted his teeth. “Before he touches me, I can still—”
Too late! Teach’s other fist glowed with white rings.
“Blackbeard’s Laugh!”
As Kuro neared, Teach laughed maniacally, fist raised high. Kuro’s foot kicked mid-air—evading capture.
“Moonstep!”
Thud! Kuro’s feet struck air, creating two qi circles. He soared above Teach, Autumn Water in hand, its blade crackling with golden Haki Encasement. The slash carved Teach’s shoulder, blood spraying.
“You can’t fly—think your pure martial strength beats me?” Kuro sneered.
