Chapter 91: Did You See That?
Chapter 91: Did You See That?
"Very well done."
Jing He never held back his praise for the young Froslass, and as he smiled, he scooped her into his arms, feeding her an Energy Block.
"Ooh~~(`)"
The little one's cheeks puffed out as she happily munched on the treat.
Regardless of other aspects, the bond between Jing He and Froslass was far stronger than the one between Sakura and her Dragonair.
Sakura recalled Dragonair and stood there, furrowing her brow as she pondered the issues from their battle.
Real Pokemon battles weren't like games. They involved a wide variety of moves and tactics, and everything changed in an instant. Trainers had to make quick judgments and issue commands, unlike in games where you had several seconds to think.
Thus, the outcome of a battle wasn't just determined by the Pokemon's strength but also by the trainer's skill.
At that moment, Sakura felt that in the battle, she had been outmaneuvered by Jing He.
This guy's command skills...
...might even surpass her cousin's a bit!
Sakura looked at Jing He, who was now playing with Froslass, and sighed softly.
Even in terms of the bond with their Pokemon, they had lost comprehensively.
"Jing He always comes up with tactics that surprise me," Aqua mused from the stands, shaking his head.
While the "Substitute Poison" and "Doom Song" tactics Jing He had used before could be replicated and studied, this time, it was a strategy tailored to his Pokemon's unique characteristics.
Suddenly, it seemed that something occurred to Aqua.
He quickly reached up to his shoulder to check his "Enforcement Recorder," and breathed a sigh of relief upon confirming it was turned off.
Thankfully, this battle hadn't been recorded.
The "Substitute Poison" from before was manageable, and even the "Doom Song" was within acceptable limits.
But if the "Snow Day Hide and Seek" tactic were to be posted online and learned by that "old woman" from Silver Academy...
He'd be in trouble.
Even he couldn't find a way to counter Jing He's tactic right away.
What Aqua didn't know was that in Jing He's mind, Froslass's current tactic was just a prototype.
Moves like "Aurora Veil," "Blizzard," "Freeze-Dry," and "Pain Split" were still beyond Froslass's reach, but once she learned them, the strategy would become even more versatile.
Moreover, if Froslass evolved into a Glaceon and gained the Fairy type, she would truly become a "Dragon Slayer."
And, of course, a "Flying-Type Slayer."
"I keep my promises, here you go!"
After the battle, Sakura handed the "Dragon Fang" to Jing He.
The Ink Town Gym had a tradition, or rather, the Dragon Masters of Ink Town had a custom.
They held a "Dragon Fang" promotion ceremony at regular intervals.
Thus, the "Dragon Fang" was an incredibly valuable item for most trainers.
But for Sakura, it wasn't a big deal.
"That's not right."
Jing He deftly pocketed the "Dragon Fang."
Sakura pouted.
"I admit you're a tactically brilliant trainer and you're great at raising Pokemon, but if we battle again, I won't use my second team!"
Jing He nodded with a smile.
He promised.
There wouldn't be a next time.
Sakura, of course, had no idea what Jing He was thinking, but after losing to both Aqua and Jing He, she was in a bad mood.
So, after making her threat, she turned and walked away.
Aqua apologized to Jing He and Cynthia before hurrying after her.
In the vast battle arena, only Jing He and Cynthia remained, along with Gastly and Froslass.
But for some reason, Jing He felt that the atmosphere was a bit off.
He glanced at Cynthia, who was looking at him with a meaningful smile, her fair cheeks tinged with a blush.
Jing He was caught off guard by Hina. He quickly turned to run, but his rational mind told him to stay calm, as running away would only expose his weakness.
Jing He's forehead was drenched in sweat. Instinct told him to turn and run, but his rational mind told him it was better to remain calm, as running away would only expose his weaknesses.
“Did you see it?” Hina asked, her face suddenly turning red as she approached.
Jing He's eyes widened in realization. He knew what Hina was asking about, and he knew he had been "sold out" by GhisThon!
But when the corner of his eye caught the Poke Ball in Hina's hand, his rational mind took over.
He put on a look of confusion.
“See what?”
He had to admit, studying psychology had its benefits, one of which was a relatively strong mental fortitude.
Jing He held up under the pressure and did not let Hina see what he was hiding.
He stared at her for a full minute, his face turning red, finally breaking into a smile and saying:
“I went to buy ice cream!”
He said this and walked out of the battle room.
And as soon as she left the battle room, he immediately dialed a phone number.
“Those ads about me online, especially the fake ones, I need to know which companies.”
Meanwhile, as Hina left.
Jing He's expression fell, and he stepped towards GhisThon.
GhisThon gulped and swallowed, but it managed to speak.
“Ou, Ou!”
Old man, he didn't have his phone on him!
Saying this, GhisThon quickly vomited and showed his phone to Jing he, demonstrating what Hina had just shown him.
It was just using its phone to find the "Zulan swim show" ads, reminding her that someone was using her for clicks and not even saying Jing He had not browsed these ads!
It was quite the inches!
Jing He's lips twitched.
He knew his phone was indeed in his pocket, not taken by GhisThon from Hina's reaction and question earlier, GhisThon had "sold" him, but not sold out completely.
“Ou,” GhisThon let out a long sigh, muttering under its breath.
And actually, doing ghost was quite good, Jing He's eyebrow lifted.
Teammew, he couldn't hold it in anymore!
Rolling up his sleeves, he pounced on GhisThon.
“Ou, Ou!!”
You, you don't come over here!
A small six-tail hurriedly covered its eyes, but curiosity made it leave two slits.
“Ou.”
So cruel.
Two minutes later.
Jing He sat on the ground, his face slightly purple.
One hand holding "Ying zi fruit " and the other holding " peach peach fruit, " taking a bite from each side.
Ghis Thon hovered behind him, a face of sycophantic smile, massaging Jing He's shoulders with both hands.
“Ou?”
Do you want to hit me again?
Feels so good, he said, impulsively.
Jing He was speechless.
He, by himself, actually charged at a ghost, nearly getting himself into a real rookie.
He muttered:
“This thing is gonna be a problem.”
“Ou~~”
“O u~~”
Jing He sighed lightly.
“I really need to be more careful, don’t you think?”
“Ou!” (Sure, don’t you think I’m the ghost!)
“O u~~” (Don’t you think I’m the fox!)
Jing He held his head.
He felt that his two "small numbers" were already twisted, and he needed to cultivate a third "small number."
