Chapter 904: Her Majesty the Queen
Chapter 904: Her Majesty the Queen
"There's someone there."
Yuuugen spoke calmly.
As soon as he finished speaking, his eyes drifted out, and he looked around warily with wide-open eyes.
But after staring for a while, his eyelids soon drooped. "You're overthinking it. I don't sense anything."
Yuuugen narrowed his eyes, observed for a moment, and then nodded slightly.
"Hmm, it seems like they've left for now. It doesn't look like they're planning to confront us yet."
"Is that true?"
The eye expressed doubt.
"Even I, such a powerful spirit, didn't sense anything. What about you?"
Yuuugen didn't respond, but instead, the Thousand-Year-Old Goldfish swam by with a smile, leaving behind the words, "It's probably because you don't have a brain."
The eye grew furious, its big eyes glaring angrily. But after stewing for two seconds, it couldn't even manage to react before it wilted.
"Damn, it seems hard to argue with that."
After all, in his current state, he was just an eye without a brain. The other party was simply stating the truth.
But even though it was the truth, why did it still make him inexplicably angry?
". . ."
After Yuuugen ended his consciousness projection and left the Spirit World for a moment, a human figure appeared on the hilltop.
"What a cautious guy," the person muttered to himself, "The target of the Evil God is in this man's hands."
A deep voice whispered in his ear, "Can you handle it?"
The figure laughed out loud.
"Don't worry. No matter how exceptional he is, he's just a man at the end of the day."
As he spoke, he licked his lips, and a dangerous light flashed in his eyes.
The next evening, Yuuugen sat in the cafeteria of the Yellow Dormitory, reading the latest search report from the reconnaissance team sent by the Kaiba Corporation to the island while eating a simple dinner.
"This Yubel is really good at hiding," Yuuugen muttered.
He felt that the other party should still be on the island, but the search had been going on for two days without any progress.
He couldn't help but start to question the professionalism of the reconnaissance team.
As he was reading the report, a dinner plate was suddenly placed in front of him.
"Do you mind if I sit here?"
Yuuugen looked up and saw a beautifully featured girl in front of him, with three-dimensional facial features and smooth, delicate skin like white jade.
Many boys at the age of puberty would probably instinctively feel nervous or even flattered by a girl with such a high level of beauty taking the initiative to approach them.
But Yuuugen remained expressionless. "I do mind."
The girl seemed to be choked up.
She laughed awkwardly but politely and still sat down. "Yuuugen-sama, you really like to joke around."
Yuuugen raised his eyebrows but didn't say anything.
Whether intentionally or not, when she sat down, it looked like she had placed a deadly weapon on the table. Although it seemed like she was deliberately showing off her extraordinary talent, the visual effect was indeed spectacular.
Yuuugen asked indifferently, "Is there something you need?"
"Nothing much, I just wanted to get to know you." The girl's eyes seemed to be filled with emotion, "You know, everyone wants to get to know you."
"Hmm, but I don't want to get to know you."
Yuuugen replied.
The girl seemed to be choked up again.
She then laughed awkwardly but politely a couple of times.
"Ahaha, ahahaha... Let's change the topic then."
The girl blinked her eyes, and her bright pupils seemed to speak.
"So, Yuuugen-sama, do you like seafood?"
This time, Yuuugen hadn't even opened his mouth to say anything, but someone had already reached their limit.
The Silent Magician in the silver school uniform silently appeared behind him, waved his hand, and a white light gathered in his hand, forming a staff.
The girl was suddenly struck on the forehead by a staff.
She screamed, and a cloud of purple mist erupted from her body, forming a humanoid figure of a tall, golden-adorned queen in mid-air.
"How rude!" she exclaimed, covering her head.
Silence glared at her, holding the staff across her chest, protecting Yuuugen.
The cafeteria was almost empty at this time, but the few passing students couldn't help but stare in astonishment.
"My apologies, but attempting to approach me in disguise as a fairy isn't a good plan." Yuuugen smiled, "I've encountered quite a few fairies, so I'm quite experienced."
Silence nodded in agreement.
"Then, what brings you here?"
The queen proudly hummed.
Without a single mistake, a song, a shot, a container, and a look in a book bar!
"For the nameless fairy." She said coldly, "The Evil God needs it."
"Me?"
His eyes widened in surprise.
"Am I that popular?"
Yuuugen furrowed his brows, "Are you from the Descending Sect? Do they have fairy members?"
This was unexpected. He had thought they were just a bunch of heretics.
"The Evil God has followers everywhere. Since you've seen through my disguise, there's nothing more to say. Let's settle this the traditional way."
She extended her hand, and golden light particles gathered on her arm, quickly forming a Duel Disk.
"Speak with cards?" Yuuugen smiled and nodded, "Indeed, it's a Duelist's way. Alright."
He stood up from the table.
"Duel!" x2
[Yuuugen, LP4000]
[Queen, LP4000]
"I'll start, draw!"
The Queen drew a card and immediately revealed her true form.
"Summon 'Bewitching Queen LV3'!"
The summoned card revealed a girl identical to the Queen's appearance. She had fair skin and was beautiful, but she looked younger than the Duelist herself, and her weapon wasn't as flashy.
[Bewitching Queen LV3, ATK 500]
Yuuugen realized, "So you're the Bewitching Queen."
The Queen proudly puffed out her chest, "Indeed, it's me."
Yuuugen nodded.
He remembered this series well. In fact, this Deck was one of the earliest to be included in the real cards, but initially, not many people knew about it.
Yuuugen remembered it because, after many years, this Deck surprisingly appeared in the anime and received a significant boost.
In the sixth anime series, "Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains," the high-ranking executive of SOL, the company operating the virtual Duel world, used this very Deck. Moreover, the Deck featured exclusive Spell Cards that weren't in the original real cards, and even included a Link Monster to modernize this antique Deck.
"I Set a card, and my turn is over." The Queen declared.
"So you're the Queen's fairy, no wonder you wanted to 'bewitch' me. This must be your inherent ability." Yuuugen smiled.
The Queen huffed indignantly, seemingly frustrated that her prized ability had failed to work.
Could it be that this man's mind was so focused on cards that he was immune to bewitching abilities?
"My turn, draw."
Yuuugen declared.
"Then, let's start with this card, the Spell Card 'Trade-In of the Dark World'."
"Dark World?" The Queen's heart stirred, "The Dark World under the Overlord's command?"
