Chapter 903: Celestial Demon Order
Chapter 903: Celestial Demon Order
Wen Qian didn't linger in the cave for long. Before leaving, he briefed Lu Chen on various matters concerning the grocery store and bid him farewell.
As a parting gift, Lu Chen presented him with two fourth-grade flying swords, one for Wen Qian and the other for Hong Qinghai.
The flying swords were a product of Lu Chen's leisure refining. Though their grade wasn't exceptionally high, their quality was superior among swords of the same grade, making them valuable treasures for Wen Qian and Hong Qinghai, who were both at the Foundation Establishment stage.
Wen Qian expressed his gratitude repeatedly, reluctant to leave.
Lu Chen's cave abode was located in a safe area of the Leihuodong Cave, not far from the exit, so he didn't need to worry too much about Wen Qian's safety.
Nonetheless, he dispatched Hua Mi Nu to secretly follow Wen Qian from a distance, while he himself watched Wen Qian's figure projected on the flower petals.
Only after a while did he recall Hua Mi Nu and store her in the Taoist Pouch.
He went to the spirit field and planted the Rift Cloud Bamboo seedling into the spirit soil.
With his mind focused on the seedling, a thought flashed through his mind.
Rift Cloud Bamboo, a fifth-grade spirit plant. Under abundant spiritual qi and soil, it can grow freely. Its root system is extremely developed and highly invasive, occupying and compressing the growth space of other spirit plants. Therefore, it requires a vast area for growth and specific quantities and grades of spirit soil.
The mature spirit bamboo can be used to craft a large number of spirit arrows, or it can be refined into a set of flying swords, among other uses.
"It has significant space requirements for growth... Luckily, I transplanted many spirit plants to the Incomplete Cave last time, otherwise, it would have been difficult to plant this Rift Cloud Bamboo."
Lu Chen pondered briefly before planting the Rift Cloud Bamboo on the peak of the mountain behind his cave abode.
Three days later, after cultivating the numerous spirit plants in the spirit field, Lu Chen summoned the Thunder Dragon Lion with a thought.
The Thunder Dragon Lion also received a small portion of the Myriadoc Grass, but due to its unique bloodline and relatively high grade, it digested the grass much faster than the Cloud-Treading Lynx and Wind Falcon.
"Come, let's visit your ancestral home and see your ancestor."
Lu Chen smiled and led the Thunder Dragon Lion deep into the Thunder Sea.
Upon entering the Thunder Sea, he concealed his presence and quietly approached the Thunder Lion Beast clan.
"Greetings, Senior," said a voice, as a young Thunder Ox with azure horns stepped forward, his single hoof trampling on strands of thunder light.
Lu Chen quickly bowed in greeting.
"Young Friend Lu," rumbled the Azure-Horned Thunder Ox in a voice like thunder, causing Lu Chen's ears to buzz.
"How have you been, Senior?" Lu Chen asked, his eyes discreetly scanning the massive figure of the Azure-Horned Thunder Ox. He noticed that the number of Thunder Death Crystals on its body wasn't very high.
"I've been well," the Azure-Horned Thunder Ox replied in a low voice.
After consuming Lu Chen's seventh-grade longevity spirit pill, its condition had improved drastically. It exuded a vigorous aura, reminiscent of its peak condition.
"Is this the hybrid Thunder Lion Beast I entrusted to your care? It has grown considerably," the Azure-Horned Thunder Ox said, its large eyes, like lanterns, scanning the Thunder Dragon Lion below. It sensed the pure and rich thunder spirit within the beast and was surprised.
"It's mainly because it inherited your bloodline, Senior, that it was able to grow so quickly," Lu Chen said, subtly flattering the Thunder Ox.
"Hahaha!" The Azure-Horned Thunder Ox burst into thunderous laughter that echoed throughout the valley.
However, he was well aware that while the Thunder Lion Beast Lu Chen had taken was indeed a hybrid, there were over ten similar hybrids in the entire territory, yet none of them could match the growth rate of Lu Chen's beast.
"You've taken good care of it, Young Friend," the Azure-Horned Thunder Ox said, a hint of praise flashing in his eyes, feeling relieved.
"I was thinking of paying you a visit and helping to clear the Thunder Death Crystals, but seeing you in such good condition puts me at ease," Lu Chen said.
"Right, Senior has been dwelling in the depths of Thunder Sea all this time. After taking that spirit seed from the ancient herb garden, did any abnormalities occur in the deepest part of the Thunder Island?" Lu Chen suddenly recalled the scene when the Thunder Ox had taken him to scour the ancient herb garden and asked out of curiosity.
"Everything is as it should be. That female corpse seems to have vanished," the Azure-Horned Thunder Ox shook its massive head.
Lu Chen nodded and left several bottles of True Sword Liquid and Green Condensing Dew for the Thunder Ox to quench its thirst. He then called over the Thunder Dragon Lion, who had been flaunting its power in front of its companions.
Led by the peculiar Thunderhorn beast that had rescued him from the thunderstorm in the Thunder Sea, they ventured into the secret realm of the Thunderhorn beast clan and ransacked the emerald-green thunder liquid.
After pillaging the place, he finally returned to his cave abode with the Thunder Dragon Lion.
Another half-month passed since their return, and two out of the nine remaining Myriadoc Grasses in the spirit field had fully matured.
Lu Chen carefully harvested the two uniquely shaped spirit grasses.
Two white orbs of light quietly appeared.
He reached out and gently touched the first one.
Harvested a fifth-grade Myriadoc Grass, obtained a sixth-grade Spirit Transformation Talisman.
As the thought vanished, a sixth-grade Spirit Transformation Talisman appeared before Lu Chen.
However, it was slightly different from the one he had obtained previously.
Lu Chen's hand glowed with spiritual light, and the first Spirit Transformation Talisman appeared in his palm.
"The beast spirit imprinted on the talisman is different. The first one has a small blue dragon, while this one has a small black tiger with wings."
"However, they are similar in that they both possess a powerful spiritual pressure, and their might is comparable when activated."
He compared the two Spirit Transformation Talismans briefly, his gaze falling on the second white orb of light.
Full of anticipation, he reached out and gently touched the surface of the orb.
In an instant, the orb shattered silently, turning into countless specks of light that soared into the sky. In the blink of an eye, the specks of light condensed into a token shadow, which swiftly vanished into Lu Chen's body.
At the same time, a thought flashed through his mind.
Harvested a fifth-grade Myriadoc Grass, obtained a seventh-grade treasure, the Celestial Demon Order (1/5)
.
As the thought faded, a fragmented token appeared before Lu Chen.
The token was blood-red, adorned with ancient divine script, and within the surging blood light, vague silhouettes of countless beasts could be discerned, causing dizziness and vertigo to those who gazed upon it.
Lu Chen focused his mind on the fragmented token, immediately gaining insight into its details.
Celestial Demon Order, a seventh-grade treasure, a high-ranking demon clan's token of identity. It seals within it the aura of countless demons, granting access to the Celestial Demon Realm and the ability to move freely between various demon domains. It holds the authority to command myriad demons.
"It's actually a seventh-grade treasure!"
Lu Chen was overjoyed.
The fifth-grade Myriadoc Grass had yielded a seventh-grade treasure, and even though it was incomplete, he was extremely satisfied.
"It seems like I need to obtain the other four parts of the Celestial Demon Order to assemble the complete seventh-grade treasure."
His gaze fixed on the edges of the fragmented token.
Perhaps due to its incompleteness, a faint blood-red spiritual light emanated from the edges, writhing slowly as if seeking out the missing pieces.
"There are still seven Myriadoc Grasses left. I must leave a few for seed production, and when the quantity is sufficient, I'll increase the yield and harvest more orbs of light."
Lu Chen made his plans for the future.
