Chapter 9: Red Goo Fruit
Inherited skills are techniques passed down from one's parents and do not require additional learning. Flame Fang is a common inherited skill among Fangflares.
While inherited skills are innate, it doesn't mean a newborn creature can use them right away. Everything has a gradual process of development.
Humans are naturally born knowing how to eat, but they start with milk and then teeth come in.
The proficiency of a skill starts at Novice and progresses to Proficient.
Novice-level skills are generally not very powerful and are newly acquired.
Lower-tier skills usually reach Novice level and can be used, but higher-tier skills, even at Novice level, might not be consistently usable due to insufficient practice.
Flame Fang is a mid-tier skill. Normally, a Fangflare's Flame Fang would only be at Novice (2/100), making it difficult to use easily.
But Fangflare managed to do it.
Qiao Sang speculated that as long as a skill was displayed in the Beastmaster Codex, Fangflare could use it.

Qiao Sang returned home to find her mother absent, but a bag of Red Goo Fruit, which Fire Familiars love, was on the table.
These fruits, which enhance the constitution of fire-type Supernatural Creatures, cost 700 Union Coins each. Occasional consumption is fine, but daily consumption would be too expensive.
Qiao Sang stared at the Red Goo Fruit for a moment.
She picked one up and offered it to Fangflare, smiling. "You can eat it."
