Chapter 895: Teaching with Full Force
Chapter 895: Teaching with Full Force
Kuronosu: "Special Summon, Antique G_skills Gear!"
A small, intricate gear appeared on the field, with tiny mechanical arms protruding from its sides, propelling it forward with short, stubby limbs.
[Antique G_skills Gear, DEF 800]
"The effect of Antique G_skills Gear allows me to Special Summon it from my hand in Attack Position when I have another Antique G_skills Gear on my field."
Kuronosu revealed another card from his hand.
"So, I Special Summon another Antique G_skills Gear from my hand!"
The second gear was slapped onto the Duel Disk and quickly stood upright.
[Antique G_skills Gear, ATK 100]
"Then, I'll use both Antique G_skills Gears as an Offering!"
Kuronosu raised his arm high, holding his soul and ace card aloft.
"Fuse Summon, Level 8—
—Ancient Mechanical Golem!!!"
Kuronosu's ace card, almost synonymous with his personal symbol, was a Soul Monster. As the card was placed in the Monster Zone, the entire field began to tremble. Ancient gears interlocked, and the mechanical parts emitted a pleasant, crisp clanging sound. It was as if a steel fortress had risen from the ground, with a pair of mechanical arms extending from within, bracing against the earth. The aged steel, exuding an aura of antiquity, revealed a crimson, solitary eye that emitted a piercing light.
[Ancient Mechanical Golem, ATK 3000]
"He summoned the Ancient Mechanical Golem on the first turn!" Marudome Shou exclaimed in surprise.
Manjome nodded, "Kuronosu is really going all out."
Kuronosu was well aware that facing Sarlacc as his opponent left no room for complacency. Moreover, this duel held significant implications for their fate, so he was determined to give it his all from the start.
He also had a rough idea of Yuuugen's dueling style.
The Lord of the Underworld was adept at disrupting opponents with numerous Trap Cards, dragging them into an inescapable abyss.
However, Kuronosu's lips curled into a smile reminiscent of the Law of Desire.
My Ancient Mechanical strategy is the bane of the Underworld! The unique trait of all Ancient Mechanical monsters is that when they attack, the opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the damage step, effectively countering many generic Traps to some extent.
In Chaos Mode, each player is considered a separate camp, so it was now Napoleon's turn.
"My turn, Draw!"
Napoleon's approach was straightforward compared to Kuronosu's flamboyant style.
"I summon Toy Soldier!" (Original Card)
A small soldier dressed in an ancient European-style red uniform, resembling a life-sized toy figure, held a toy gun resembling a horn.
[Toy Soldier, ATK 800]
"Then, I'll Set a card and end my turn," Napoleon said.
Kuronosu expressed his dissatisfaction, "Is that it? You're ending your turn so simply against a student, even if he's the Duel King. Do you think you've won like this?"
"Shut up!"
Napoleon retorted angrily.
"In the first turn of Chaos Mode, no one can attack. There's no point in wasting most of your hand to summon your ace on your first move!"
"What did you say?" Kuronosu roared, "Are you trying to teach me how to duel?"
Napoleon crossed his arms, "I'm just stating the facts. You're still green."
Kuronosu rolled up his sleeves, "It seems I've been too lenient with you, you shorty. Do you think I can't beat you, Napoleon?"
Napoleon stood his ground, "Bring it on. Who's afraid of you, Law of Desire?"
Spectators: "..."
Touka scratched his head helplessly, "It seems like getting these two to cooperate might be a challenge."
"Ahem.
Yuugen coughed lightly, interrupting the conversation. "Well then, if both of you are finished, it's my turn."
The two instructors fell silent instantly, focusing their attention.
The duel with Sarlacc was intense, even with two against one.
What cruel methods would this guy use to torment them? Yuugen revealed a card in his hand.
"I activate the Continuous Spell, 'Future Fusion'.
This card allows a monster to be fused in the future... I'm sure you professors are well-versed in its effects."
Yuugen smiled.
Kouronosu, eager to impress his future boss, spoke up. "Future Fusion comes in two types: Continuous and Equip. The effect of the Continuous Future Fusion is to select a Fusion Monster and send the required Fusion Materials from your Deck to the Graveyard. During your next turn's Standby Phase, you can Fusion Summon that Fusion Monster!"
Napoleon clenched his small fist, gritting his teeth. "Damn it, Kouronosu! Always showing off with your quick tongue in front of Yuugen."
Kouronosu puffed out his chest proudly. "This is the basic etiquette of a senior instructor, Napoleon. You still have much to learn."
Napoleon's face turned red with anger. "Damn it!"
"Now, the effect of Future Fusion, I choose a Fusion Monster.
I select this one."
Yuugen smiled and revealed a Fusion card.
"Ultimate Xylophage Zero.
The fusion requirement for this card is two or more Reptile-Type monsters with the name 'Winner Bug', with no upper limit.
So, from my Deck..."
A loud shuffling sound filled the air as Yuugen tossed a large number of cards into the air.
Everyone's eyes widened in astonishment as they witnessed the flurry of monster cards flying through the air, resembling an entire Deck being thrown.
"I send twenty-five Winner Bugs from my Deck to the Graveyard!"
Caesar, the action director, was impressed.
"My goodness!" Kouronosu exclaimed, unable to hold back, "Twenty-five Winner Bugs at once?"
Even before the duel began, nearly half of the Deck was sent to the Graveyard—such an intense move!
"Next, I Normal Summon 'Zexer'."
Yuugen played another monster card from his hand.
Initially, a green, viscous blob appeared, gradually forming into a starfish-like structure, but with a terrifying mouth-like opening and sharp white teeth.
[Zexer, ATK 1800]
"When Zexer is successfully Summoned, you can send another Reptile-Type monster with the name 'Winner Bug' from your Deck to the Graveyard."
Yuugen's Deck automatically searched, and another Winner Bug card popped out, which he sent to the Graveyard.
Kouronosu couldn't help but swallow hard.
In an instant, there were twenty-six Winner Bugs in the Graveyard.
Napoleon's expression turned grim. "I have a bad feeling about this..."
"The effect of 'Aganamamax' in the Graveyard," Yuugen explained, "When there is only one monster on your field, Aganamamax can be Special Summoned in face-down Defense Position."
Yuugen tapped another monster card, and a face-down monster appeared horizontally on the field. Before it was covered, a fleeting shadow of Aganamamax appeared. Its twisted, tree-like body and a pair of eyes that exuded a chilling aura were projected in 3D, giving everyone a suffocating feeling just by looking at it.
These were the Winner Bugs, each with a bizarre and grotesque appearance, enough to drive anyone insane.
