Chapter 894: Revenge
Chapter 894: Revenge
Laser Pen was the guild leader of the seventh-ranked guild in the national server, Flame Emblem.
Crimson Eye Black Dragon, Chika Fletcher, and Thousand Cups Not Drunk had already entered the final secret realm, so they weren't included in this mission.
The three available spots and the five new player slots were given to top players from both the national and international servers, including Laser Pen, the guild leader of Cross the Four Seas, Ethan Yang.
Su Yu and Laser Pen were quite familiar with each other.
Laser Pen was around the same age as Su Yu, about twenty-three or twenty-four, and he was a professional player.
Initially, his guild was just a small one. However, as one of the first guild leaders to join Su Yu's "Guild Leader Chat Room," he received significant support from various sectors of society and the government, which helped his guild grow rapidly to become the seventh-largest guild in the game.
What Su Yu remembered most about Laser Pen was his frequent use of gay slang in the "Guild Leader Chat Room," terms like "top-bottom" and "zero-one," which Su Yu didn't quite understand.
Who would have thought that Laser Pen would die on the planet Skrull...
When Su Yu first saw his body online, he felt a sharp pain in his heart.
Laser Pen was a clean-cut young man, even a bit handsome at first glance.
In the online images, his entire chest was blown open, his forehead drooping low, and his eyes wide open, as if he died with unresolved grievances.
At the time, Su Yu found it hard to believe.
He had assumed that the Skrullians would still capture Blue Star prisoners and use them for exchanges, as they had done before.
But this time, the Skrullians killed their captives outright, giving them no chance to live.
After seeing the images, and feeling a wave of numbness, Su Yu made a silent vow: "Laser Pen, I will avenge you."
Since the Skrullians insisted on killing, they couldn't blame him for not holding back!
...
The meeting time for the Blue Star cultivators was set for noon on February 21st, at a peak in the northwest corner of the Wilderness Continent.
At 10 AM on February 20th, Su Yu had already entered the Wilderness Continent.
The entry point was relatively close to the meeting location, only about 5,800 kilometers away, roughly the straight-line distance from the Imperial Capital of Nova Haven to Moscow.
He could use the "Teleportation Spell" to reach the destination instantly, or fly there in just over two hours if he wanted to remain covert.
So Su Yu wasn't in a hurry to get there.
He decided to explore the Wilderness Continent first, seeing if his harmless appearance could lure any "fish."
If he caught any "fish," well... he chuckled to himself.
He slowed his flight and entered a "wandering" mode, flying over the Wilderness Continent.
Finally, at 1 PM, he spotted a target in a forest in the northwest corner of the Wilderness Continent.
The target was a Skrullian squad, all members being sixth-stage cultivators.
...
The Skrullian squad consisted of three members: two psychic warriors and one psychic mage.
One of the psychic warriors was particularly muscular, with a solid build and clad in deep gray alloy armor, clearly a tank-type character.
The other psychic warrior wore a lightweight white leather armor and wielded a poisoned short sword, likely an assassin-type character.
The psychic mage, a female, wore a scarlet robe, clearly a spellcaster.
At that moment, the female psychic mage had her eyes closed and was walking slowly forward.
A vast wave of psychic energy radiated outward from her forehead, as if searching for something.
The tank-type psychic warrior, growing increasingly impatient, whispered, "Bella, have you found any trace of the Blue Star humans?"
Psychic master Bella didn't answer him directly, nor did she open her eyes. She continued to move forward slowly, merely shaking her head slightly.
The assassin-type psychic warrior, watching this, couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Boris, don't be so hasty. This is like looking for a needle in a haystack. It's been seven days, and only three teams have successfully hunted down Blue Star humans and completed the bounty."
"Ah, I can't help but be anxious," Boris replied, shaking his head. "Tomorrow will be the seventh day since the Blue Star humans arrived. If we don't hurry up, we'll have nothing to show for these seven days!"
"Damn, we've really been unlucky these past few days!" the assassin-type psychic warrior cursed.
Over these seven days, their team had indeed encountered Blue Star's Tier 6 cultivators. However, their bad luck was that they only ran into ancient Blue Star cultivators, not Blue Star players.
Ancient Blue Star cultivators and players were on entirely different levels. The players, such as Laser Pen, were well-prepared when they arrived. Their skills were mostly complete, and secondary profession players had equipped them with a full set of Tier 6 blue-quality gear, giving them much better conditions than when Zhong Feng and his team first arrived.
However, Laser Pen and his group were used to being reckless in the game (where they could easily respawn), lacking survival experience and a keen sense of danger. This made them no match for the ancient Blue Star cultivators.
The ancient Blue Star cultivators were powerful beings who had survived from ancient times, each possessing immense abilities and exceptional adaptability.
Thus, when this three-person team tracked down an ancient Blue Star cultivator, they barely had time to celebrate before the cultivator fled. This happened three times in total, leading the assassin-type psychic warrior to complain about their bad luck.
Hearing the assassin-type psychic warrior's complaint, Boris sighed. "Indeed, those old guys are slippery as eels... It's the last day. I hope we can find a Blue Star player!"
Boris clasped his hands together and raised them above his head, making a prayer to the sky. This was an ancient gesture used by the Sun People to pray for rain during droughts, when crops would fail. They would pray devoutly to the heavens, begging for rain.
The leather-armor psychic warrior, a Lunectar, only believed in science and had no faith in any deities. Seeing Boris's pose, he sneered, "Stop with this feudal superstition. Do you really think a prayer will make us find a Blue Star human? No such luck!"
"Don't be so skeptical, it works!" Boris said earnestly.
The leather-armor psychic warrior was about to argue further, but then the female psychic master suddenly opened her eyes, her face filled with excitement.
"Boris, Ithan, I've detected a trace of Blue Star human energy! It's just 100 kilometers ahead, in that nest of monsters. And the monster's energy hasn't dissipated, so they must still be in battle!"
Skrul's three-person team wasn't just searching aimlessly; they had a clear purpose. They knew that the Blue Star humans came to the Wild Continent primarily to hunt monsters and gather materials from their bodies.
So, they followed the trail of monster nests, and now they had finally found one!
