Chapter 89: Cecilia, Planetary Tier?
Chapter 89: Cecilia, Planetary Tier?
Pfft!
Their mental energies severely damaged, the gods collectively spat out a mouthful of blood, even Su Yu was no exception.
Bard, the leader of the mental energy group, was hit the hardest. His bulky body trembled violently, and he almost lost his balance and fell from the sky!
The destruction of the "Mental Blade" and the mental energy group was a massive blow to the gods. Who would have thought that Cecilia Nightblade had such power?!
After all, this was a mental energy group formed by the combined efforts of seven gods. To think that Cecilia could shatter it with a single strike! Even a peak god would find it difficult to achieve such a feat!
...
Forcing himself to stabilize his mental energy, Kevin Glastonbury asked Bard, "Sir Bard, are you alright?"
"I'll manage," Bard steadied himself and answered with difficulty, "But my mental energy is severely injured. I doubt I can perform another mental energy detection."
"Thank goodness you're alright," the Elven Queen rubbed her aching head, her shock evident. "But Cecilia Nightblade is just too powerful! She managed to shatter our combined mental energy group with a single strike! Even a peak god couldn't do that, right?"
"Right, even a peak god doesn't have that kind of strength," Su Yu interjected, his expression grim.
He turned to the other gods present and said, "Our world has produced two peak gods. One was recently born, and the other has lived for over 2300 years.
I have interacted with both of them, and I can confidently say that neither of them could shatter our combined mental energy group with a single strike.
Based on my judgment, Cecilia is likely on a different level altogether."
"A different level? You mean... Planetary Tier?" The gods present were all shaken to their core.
Upon reflection, it seemed entirely plausible!
"If Cecilia Nightblade is a Planetary Tier existence, then everything makes sense," Kevin Glastonbury's face was stern. "Because she is a Planar-tier entity, she could cut through the [Final Water Sky Curtain] with a single strike and suppress Belinda to the point of helplessness.
Because she is a Planetary Tier entity, the short blade in her hand is made from compressed spatial rifts, a technique rarely seen even in legendary-grade god-tier equipment.
And because she is a Planetary Tier entity, she can effortlessly shatter our combined mental energy group..."
By this point, Kevin Glastonbury could no longer continue, his face revealing a rare expression of despair and fear, something he had almost never shown since birth.
The other gods also wore looks of terror.
What were they to do? How could they possibly face a Planetary Tier entity? With the sparse resources of the Evolution world, how could a Planetary Tier entity even exist?
Everyone was in a state of turmoil, their minds in chaos.
The Elven Queen wiped the sweat from her forehead, starting to waver, "If the enemy is a legendary Planetary Tier, then we shouldn't intervene. Otherwise, we will all die here..."
"No!" Su Yu firmly shook his head.
"No? Why not? The enemy is a Planetary Tier!..."
"The situation is far more complex than we think," Su Yu shook his head and turned to the Elven Queen. "Your Majesty, I ask you, if Cecilia Nightblade is truly a Planetary Tier entity, why would she... no, why would it want to merge with Belinda?
The gap between Planetary Tier and Eighth Rank God is immense, nearly a hundred times the difference!
If you were a Planetary Tier, would you willingly merge with a mere Sixth Rank Elf? Wouldn't that weaken you?"
The Elven Queen was taken aback.
Indeed, to a Planetary Tier entity, an Eighth Rank God might as well be an ant. Why would a normal person want to forcibly merge with an ant? That would only weaken oneself.
Seeing the Elven Queen's silence, Su Yu addressed all the gods present, "Everyone must know that the resources in this world are far from sufficient to produce a Planetary Tier entity. Moreover, there has never been a case where all resources were concentrated in one individual. Therefore, Cecilia Nightblade cannot possibly be a Planetary Tier entity."
"Su Yu, then what do you mean?" Alysia was confused. "If Cecilia Nightblade is not a Planetary Tier, how do you explain her current strength?"
"I believe there is another possibility," Su Yu said, crossing his arms. "A Planetary Tier entity might be secretly interfering in this world, and Cecilia Nightblade, as a traitor, has allied with him, becoming his pawn."
As for the weapon in Cecilia Nightblade's hand and the 'black card' that crushed our mental force group, it's very likely a gift from a planetary-level entity, not a power she possesses naturally."
After Su Yu's explanation, the gods fell silent, lost in thought.
After about ten seconds, Kevin Plantagenet was the first to nod. "Hmm... Su Yu makes a good point."
"Yeah, I think that's a reasonable explanation too," Bard agreed weakly.
The Elven Queen, however, was still terrified. "But even if Cecilia Nightblade wields a power granted by a planetary-level entity, that means there's a planetary-level being backing her! How can we possibly stand against a planetary-level being? That's a planetary-level entity we're talking about!"
The Elven Queen's words hit home for the other gods.
Yes, how could they possibly stand against a planetary-level entity, even if it was acting from behind the scenes?
Su Yu shrugged. "But the problem is, we can't afford to back down. Constant retreat and weakness will only lead to our downfall. Think about it: if Cecilia Nightblade and Bernina truly merge into a world-destroying monster, what will we do then?"
The gods remained silent.
"Once we retreat today, what will you do if this monster comes after you tomorrow?" Su Yu continued. "I'm an adventurer from another world, and I'm not afraid to die, but what about you? Where will you hide?"
"There... there's no way to deal with it," Kevin Plantagenet said softly, a bitter smile on his face.
The thought of Cecilia Nightblade's dagger still sent shivers down his spine. "If the merged monster comes after me with that dagger, I'll end up like Bernina. I doubt any of you will fare much better."
"Exactly," the Elven Queen, Dwarf King, and other gods nodded gravely.
It seemed they had no choice but to face this monster head-on!
As for the planetary-level entity behind it... well, they couldn't worry about that now. They had to deal with the immediate threat first.
"Su Yu," Alysia tugged at Su Yu's robe sleeve. "What do we do now? We don't have much time left."
"It's simple," Su Yu smiled, then turned serious. "I'll lead the charge, and everyone will join forces to attack this monster!"
He looked at Bard. "Sir Bard, inform all the gods and Seventh-Stage powerhouses in this plane to come here."
Then he looked at the other gods. "Everyone, follow me!"
With that, Su Yu charged forward, his [Final Spatial Blade] slicing through the black water curtain with blinding speed.
The other gods were roused and joined the assault, launching their attacks on the black water curtain.
A battle against a monster backed by a planetary-level entity had officially begun!
...
...
Unbeknownst to them, the battle had already lasted half an hour.
In that time, ten of the eleven god-level powerhouses in the main evolution plane had arrived, along with eighty-six Seventh-Stage Legendary powerhouses. Even the nine Seventh-Stage players from Earth (Xiao Tian, Zhong Feng, Yunzhong Mudi, Ice Black Tea, Old Meng, Old Li, Thousand Cups Unfazed, True Red-Eyed Black Dragon, and Fujiwara Chihana) had rushed to help.
However, the players hadn't connected this Cecilia with the god-level Cecilia from the Skrull planet, assuming it was just part of the game's plot. They were participating with the mindset of being part of a major in-game event.
Nearly a hundred Seventh-Stage powerhouses and above formed an array in the sky, and with the array's amplification, they unleashed all their most powerful spells on the black water curtain.
Deafening explosions echoed through the air, and the chaotic surge of spiritual energy filled every corner of Qingfeng Village. The ground was stripped away by the attacks, exposing the bedrock beneath.
However, to everyone's shock, after a full thirty minutes, they still hadn't breached the black water curtain. It withstood the onslaught from over a hundred powerhouses, remaining as resilient as ever!
Seeing this, the faces of the gods grew increasingly grim.
They had poured all their strength into the attack, yet the black water curtain remained unscathed. Did they truly have the power to break through it?
Kevin Plantagenet's face darkened. "No wonder it's a planetary-level technique—truly out of the ordinary."
The Elven Queen nodded. "Sigh, I feel we can't break through this water curtain. Even if we could, it would take at least half a day."
Su Yu’s face was grave as he pondered what to do. He was also puzzled—how could a planetary-level entity suddenly appear in the game? This was not part of the storyline in his previous life.
Moreover, no player had received a quest, which was unlike a major event that would cause an expansion update!
With this in mind, he turned to Bard. "Sir Bard, have you recovered your mental energy? We need to know how far along the fusion between Cecilia Nightblade and Bernina has progressed."
Bard had been resting and recovering his mental energy for the past half-hour and should be nearly back to full strength.
Hearing Su Yu’s question, Bard replied, "I’m almost fully recovered. I’ll go and investigate the situation within the water barrier now."
With that, Bard began to cast a spell, and a golden clock’s ethereal image rapidly spun in front of his chest. His mental energy pierced through the water barrier in an instant.
After half a minute, Bard withdrew the spell.
Under the expectant gazes of everyone present, Bard said seriously, "Your attacks were quite effective just now. The fusion between Cecilia Nightblade and Bernina has significantly slowed down.
However, the fusion is still ongoing, and I’m unsure if we can break through the water barrier before they fully merge."
"Is that so?" Everyone present wore solemn expressions.
In other words, if they couldn’t break through the water barrier, the fusion inside would be completed?
Just then, a 7th-Rank Druid called out to Bard, "Lord Bard, is there any way we can stop their fusion? If we can halt the fusion, we’ll have more time."
Bard was about to shake his head in negation when suddenly, an idea struck him.
He continued, "I can perform a calculation to find a solution. Everyone here, please contribute 1% of your mental energy to me. I’ll execute the calculation."
"Alright." The 7th-Rank and God-Tier experts present had no objections and contributed 1% of their mental energy to Bard.
Bard gathered this vast amount of mental energy and immediately began the calculation. A golden wheel of time slowly spun in front of his chest, rapidly growing from the size of a watch to that of a basketball.
The spell didn’t take too long to cast. Soon, Bard’s calculation was complete, and the basketball-sized wheel of time gradually faded away.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Bard said immediately after the calculation, "Based on my calculation, I have indeed found a feasible method. This method involves the adventurers from another world."
Bard looked at Su Yu, who, along with the nine other 7th-Rank players, was taken aback. "Us?"
"Yes," Bard replied. "Don’t you players have many items that can summon Cecilia Nightblade?"
Su Yu responded immediately, "Indeed, we do."
Su Yu had once obtained Tina’s summoning scroll. On Scrull, he had even summoned Tina to block the former Speaker Runkert’s first wave of attacks.
If Tina had a summoning scroll, Cecilia Nightblade certainly did as well.
Moreover, some higher-quality items from the "Hidden Dagger" faction also had the ability to summon Cecilia Nightblade.
Bard nodded. "Have the adventurers use these items and scrolls. According to my calculation, using summoning items will not only interrupt the fusion between Cecilia and Bernina but also has a certain probability of summoning Cecilia directly! If she can be summoned, it will completely thwart Cecilia’s scheme!"
"Summon her directly? Can it really be done like that?" Su Yu’s eyes lit up.
But upon reflection, it made sense. When using a summoning scroll, the summoned individual would indeed be brought to the current location.
If Cecilia Nightblade could be summoned, the crisis would be resolved!
Su Yu nodded immediately. "Alright, I’ll take care of it right away!"
Wasting no time, Su Yu quickly contacted Speaker Hu Jing and AI Blue Whale, informing them of the situation.
Speaker Hu Jing and AI Blue Whale had been keeping a close eye on what was happening.
However, they had mostly considered this to be part of the game’s expansion update and hadn’t taken it too seriously.
Upon receiving Su Yu’s request, they immediately agreed and contacted the leaders of the major in-game guilds.
