Chapter 877: Keep Fighting! (Dedicated to Baiyin Da Meng ‘flyfishhhhh’)
As Edward Weibull collapsed under a barrage of attacks, a shrill scream pierced the crowd.
"Edward Weibull, stand up! You’re the son of Whitebeard, his heir! Don’t be such a coward. They’re just the Navy—crush them!"
Miss Bakin slammed her crutch into the ground, trembling with rage.
"Roar!"
Her shout was met only by Edward Weibull’s unconscious roar of pain.
After all, with so many people beating him, it was already impressive he could still make a sound.
"Edward Weibull, Observation Haki! Use Observation Haki!" Miss Bakin reminded urgently.
Suddenly, the fallen pirate’s eyes flushed red. His body sprang off the ground like a giant bouncy ball, soaring high into the air and dodging the Navy’s assault.
"Hmph?"
Togeko looked up, gripped his hilt, and leapt skyward, drawing his blade in a direct slash.
Edward Weibull twisted mid-air to evade, his twin-bladed nitoryu sweeping sideways. Togeko barely parried in time, reversing his blade to block.
Boom!
Togeko plummeted like a cannonball, slamming into the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust and debris.
"Damn… that force", he coughed, clearing the smoke with a flick of his blade. His expression hardened—his arm trembled. If he hadn’t used Haki to reinforce his back, that impact alone would’ve crippled him.
"Mother, it hurts!!"
Still airborne, Edward Weibull spun both massive blades like twin propellers, churning the air into a tornado of raw power.
Dalmatian shouted, "Fall back! Everyone retreat!"
"Not on your life!"
As the words left his mouth, a wisp-like figure rocketed upward. Kuro, wielding Autumn Water, flashed into the storm’s core. With a pop, the shockwave disintegrated like foam.
"You can’t even stir the wind without my permission."
Kuro reappeared above Edward Weibull, his blade Autumn Water arcing backward.
Edward Weibull suddenly looked up—only to meet Kuro’s piercing gaze.
"Eye Sword!"
His eyes radiated killing intent, freezing Edward Weibull’s movements momentarily. Kuro’s fingers slid along Autumn Water’s edge, trailing golden light.
"Unenlightened Divine Wind Murderous Sword!"
The blade sliced forward. Kuro’s form blurred past Edward Weibull, landing in a classic iaijutsu stance as Autumn Water slid into its sheath.
"Azure Dragon (Jiaolong)."
"Vice Admiral!"
The Navy roared in unison.
Edward Weibull, still stunned, realized he was unharmed and swung his twin blades downward in a furious arc toward Kuro. If it connected, Kuro would’ve been split in two.
Without glancing upward, Kuro sheathed the last inch of Autumn Water.
"Don’t you hear it?" he murmured.
Edward Weibull’s downward strike halted abruptly, the blade’s edge mere inches from Kuro’s head.
Click.
A soft sound echoed—Kuro’s voice: "The whisper of that divine wind."
Edward Weibull’s twin blades froze mid-strike. His eyes dulled, his body convulsing like a balloon filled with frenzied water.
Puh!
Blood erupted from his wounds like geysers, splattering from his head and neck. Old scars tore open, spewing more crimson.
Thud!
Edward Weibull crashed to the ground. His massive twin blades, once poised over Kuro, clattered uselessly beside him.
Kuro rose, glancing back with a smirk. "When fighting me, it’s wise not to have open wounds."
He pointed at Edward Weibull, voice sharp: "Keep pounding him! He’s not dead yet!"
Even swordsmen like Kuro were hard to kill, let alone powerhouses like this one with absurd stamina.
"Long live Vice Admiral Golden Lion!"
The Navy erupted in cheers, charging back with renewed vigor.
Miss Bakin’s sunglasses slipped, revealing bloodshot eyes. "Weibull—"
Before she finished, Kuro appeared before her.
Clang!
Her Haki-infused crutch blocked his blade.
"Oh? I thought you were just an old woman playing Pokémon. Didn’t expect you to fight back", Kuro mused. "Why not retire peacefully with your son instead of causing chaos in your seventies?"
"Don’t underestimate me!" Miss Bakin hissed. "I was once a pirate too—sailed with my husband!"
"Rocks?"
Kuro shoved her backward with a flick of his blade. "You people never learn. Even in your seventies, you’re still scheming. Rocks is long gone."
"Damn you!" Miss Bakin tumbled backward, landing hard. She scrambled to her feet and fled.
"Hmph! Escape while you can! You’ll never expect my getaway route—this was all part of my plan!"
She cackled. "I’m Whitebeard’s favorite woman—the legacy is mine!"
"Whitebeard might not even recognize you."
Kuro’s voice sounded suddenly before her. Miss Bakin froze. A jet-black blade pointed at her forehead.
"Why not let me send you to him? You can ask Whitebeard yourself where his legacy is. Catch up on old times."
Kuro drove Autumn Water forward.
Puh!
The blade pierced Miss Bakin’s forehead, exiting through the back of her skull. Her eyes widened. She tried to speak but collapsed lifelessly.
Kuro wiped blood from his blade with a snort. "Your ‘son’ Edward Weibull’s a fool, but you—you’re the real mastermind behind Zeff’s lost arm."
Edward Weibull was a fool for filial piety—strong, but brainless, blindly obeying this woman he called ‘mother’. Zeff’s maiming? Her doing. The boy’s too reckless to threaten Zeff with a ship of cadets.
But both were dying anyway.
Kuro didn’t care for ‘only punishing the mastermind’—he held grudges against everyone involved.

Huge thanks to the first Baiyin Da Meng, flyfishhhhh! Or perhaps I should say—I’m overjoyed!
This extra chapter isn’t just one update—I’ll go all-out for three days, adding more chapters beyond the usual five.
Also, heartfelt thanks to past patrons: ‘Gongye Ye’, ‘Beiguo Zhiquan’, and ‘Haoshu Shu’.
Strictly speaking, this is just a regular update, but since I’ve been slacking on past promises, I’ll consider these five chapters as makeup for previous debt.
In any case, immense gratitude to all my generous patrons.
Salutations from me—fishbowledog!
