Chapter 87:
Chapter 87:
This unique Bloodline Magic was undoubtedly the strongest card in Ivan's hand. If used properly, it could even allow him to stand up to an adult Wizard, so he prioritized practicing it over Transfiguration.
Ivan initially thought it would be an easy task, given that he had already successfully released it once, and the system's Magic bar had displayed it.
However, when he actually started practicing, Ivan was stumped. He had no idea what spell was needed to summon Cecilia.
Back then, it had been automatically activated due to the life-threatening situation. He couldn't very well try to recreate those conditions, could he?
Wait, could it be related to that?
Ivan inexplicably thought of the ethereal blue Phoenix, and the words Dumbledore had said before—how some Wizards could integrate the power of Magical creatures into their Magic, displaying extraordinary abilities.
So, could his Bloodline Magic be connected to the Patronus Charm, since both involved summoning an animal Phantom, with many similarities?
The only difference was that the Unicorn Shadow was more special, capable of being materialized through a unique form of Magic to engage in battle. Ivan speculated that this might be because Cecilia's soul had replaced that of the Patronus.
With these speculations in mind, Ivan immediately headed to the library to find books about the Patronus Charm. After a few hours, he successfully advanced the Patronus Charm to level one.
"Patronus Charm!" Ivan eagerly entered the Room of Requirement, waving his wand to test it.
Strands of White Mist began to flow from the tip of Ivan's wand, and a sense of calm and peace gradually washed over his mind.
Although nothing appeared, a joyful expression spread across Ivan's face.
Because he was now absolutely certain that there was a connection between his Bloodline Magic Unicorn Shadow and the Patronus Charm!
In the following days, Ivan threw himself into practicing the Patronus Charm, even using his precious House Points.
However, since it was the end of the term, with no classes to earn points, his House Points could only be spent, not replenished, and they were dwindling fast.
"Only five hundred points left." Ivan couldn't help but miss the kind Professor Dumbledore. Without considering other aspects, he was always generous with awarding points.
Just this term, Dumbledore had given him at least two hundred points!
But even so, it couldn't change Ivan's current predicament.
Considering that he might need to deal with unexpected situations during the holiday, he decided to keep two hundred House Points in reserve, leaving him with only three hundred points to use!
That meant he could only have three hours of accelerated learning or practice!
"Redeem Academic Genius Card." After adjusting his state of mind, Ivan began his first session of accelerated practice without hesitation.
[100 House Points deducted!]
With the system's prompt, Ivan felt his mind become much clearer, and his control over Magic improved significantly. He immediately waved his wand.
"Patronus Charm!"
The ethereal White Mist reappeared, drifting out from the tip of Ivan's wand in wispy strands, like a faint, elusive smoke, swirling around him.
This time, the White Mist was much more abundant.
After a bit of practice, Ivan quickly grasped the unique aspects of the Patronus Charm. It was a profound form of emotional Magic.
The caster needed to gather positive emotions and concentrate this power to successfully summon their own Patronus!
Ivan was stuck at this final step!
If only there were a Dementor for him to practice with, Ivan thought.
Although he was in the Room of Requirement, Ivan did not attempt to use its properties to conjure a Dementor.
From previous experiments, he had already understood its limitations: it could not materialize living beings or Magical items, and it was more inclined to provide a setting.
For example, it could materialize a dragon breeding ground without any dragons, or a vault without any gold.
The armory did have weapons, but they were all ancient relics from a thousand years ago, and not a single Magical weapon was among them.
Ivan sighed, his thoughts wavering, and the large amount of White Mist that he had painstakingly gathered instantly dissipated. Ivan quickly steadied his mind, calmed down, and continuously recalled scenes that brought him joy.
Teasing Peter Pettigrew, making Professor Quirrell take the blame, and throwing a Dungbomb at the Dark Lord.
Memories kept flooding his mind, and a smile tugged at the corners of Ivan's lips. Inspired by these happy thoughts, he lightly waved his wand, and the White Mist around him seemed to be drawn toward the center.
A long, piercing cry echoed throughout the practice room, and in the white light, Cecilia's Phantom appeared in mid-air, circling Ivan happily, showing a hint of affection.
What surprised Ivan the most was that Cecilia's eyes were no longer blood red but were like clear, blue water.
Was it because of the successful revenge?
Ivan thought to himself, but Cecilia's Phantom didn't last long before it dissolved back into White Mist and vanished into the air.
At the same time, a system notification sounded in his mind:
*Chime, Academic Genius Card duration has expired. Do you want to renew?*
"No, scram!" Ivan said with a dark face, realizing he had been practicing at an accelerated pace for three whole hours!
Checking the system panel, he saw that the Patronus Charm had been upgraded to level two. Ivan tried using the Patronus Charm in a normal state, but the result was still just some White Mist that couldn't coalesce.
However, the system panel now had more information about the Unicorn Shadow, and after reviewing it, Ivan gained a better understanding.
*Bloodline Magic: Unicorn Shadow (Cecilia's Shadow)*
*Prerequisites: Patronus Charm level four (level two in experience card mode)*
*Description: This is a special Magic that fuses bloodline and soul power. As a spectral Patronus, Cecilia can ignore most obstacles, and only a few spells can harm her. You can also choose to spend a large amount of Magic to temporarily construct a body for Cecilia, allowing her to briefly interfere with the physical world.*
*Note: Unless the host dies, when the spectral body suffers a fatal injury and is destroyed, it will not completely die and dissipate. Instead, it will reside within you to recover until it regains its form.*
"So, I've become Cecilia's Horcrux?" Ivan muttered to himself, stroking his chin as he read the final note.
It seemed that until he could raise the Patronus Charm to level four, he would have to rely on the experience card mode to reactivate it.
