Chapter 86: Senior's Pillow
Chapter 86: Senior's Pillow
"Pillow."
At the sound of this word, Xue Wenli's face turned pale. She immediately recalled how Donna had carried her back to the room and used her as a pillow earlier.
Su Yu, on the other hand, didn't mind at all. He chuckled and said, "Sure thing! If Senior is willing, I don't mind being a pillow. I'd even be happy to be a mattress!"
As he spoke, Su Yu took out from his necklace the azure pearl powder and the special metal rings he had bought on Skrul Star, gifts he had specifically brought back for Donna.
"Senior, look at this! This is special azure pearl powder from the Bergdor Coast of the Lunectar Alliance. It's ground by a 43-year-old master craftsman in the pearl grinding industry, and it's more expensive than gold by the gram! It's perfect for skin care."
"And this! The 'Flame Gem Ring' from the Sun City of the Imperial Sun Capital. It was crafted by a master over several years, and I paid two tons of gold for it."
In addition to the pearl powder and metal rings, Su Yu had brought back many other gifts, all of which were crafted to appeal to the aesthetics of the Silver Saint race. He now presented them all to Donna.
Donna was extremely pleased with Su Yu's gifts!
After storing them in her spatial ring, she fondly caressed his cheek. "Little junior, you're so adorable! How can I thank you for all these wonderful gifts? How about this—"
Donna thought for a moment and then said, "One month from now, I'll open a spatial tunnel to Skrul Star for you again. This time, you can take up to six people. Just like last time, I take no responsibility for what happens."
"Thank you, Senior! Next time, I'll bring back even more gifts!" Su Yu replied gratefully.
The spatial teleportation device needed a month to cool down, which was understandable.
While the gifts had cost him a lot, getting three additional spots was a fantastic deal! From Chancellor Cao's experience, every additional spot meant a greater chance of survival!
"Yes." Donna nodded and then turned her attention to Zhang, the Commissioner, standing at the foot of the stairs. "Hey, old man! Since I'm giving you three additional spots, you need to reciprocate. I don't want the War Oversight Group to find out about any favoritism."
"Don't worry about that!" Zhang responded immediately. "First thing tomorrow, I'll have my subordinates boost the views on all videos with over one billion plays by two billion more."
The way Zhang bribed Donna was by boosting views on the first-person video section of the game's official website.
Donna received a commission from this section and used the earnings to buy psychic energy from the Blue Star government, which was her only legal way to obtain it and Zhang's only legal way to bribe her.
Donna glanced at Zhang and then looked away. She yawned, feeling a bit sleepy.
The Silver Saint race was known for their love of sleep. A day on Silver Saint Star lasted 42 hours, and the Silver Saints often slept for 30 to 32 of those hours.
Fortunately, their racial trait allowed them to learn and cultivate in their dreams, seeking the true essence of things and understanding the laws of the universe. Otherwise, their race would have long since gone extinct.
"Come on, junior, you're going to be my pillow tonight!" Donna took Su Yu's arm and led him upstairs.
"Uh..." Su Yu didn't protest and allowed Donna to lead him up, under the knowing gazes of Zhang and Zhong Feng.
As they reached the bedroom door on the third floor, Su Yu suddenly remembered something. "Senior, do you still have the treasure map you gave me last time?"
"Nothing, I got it from one of the 'Credit Blind Boxes' I opened. I only got one. What about it?" Donna yawned, her head nodding as she struggled to keep her eyes open.
Donna was a student at the "St. Silver Secret Court," the highest institution of learning in the St. Silver Federation. Students could earn credits for outstanding performance, good exam results, or completing tasks assigned by their teachers. These credits could be used to exchange for a wide range of items, from weapons and equipment to potions and materials, and even larger items like starships and artificial celestial bodies, including neutron star warships.
In addition to these, the school's credit exchange office offered a special item: the Credit Blind Box. For just one credit, you could get a blind box that theoretically contained any item on the exchange list. With a bit of luck, you could even get a neutron star warship!
However, the odds were slim. Most of the time, the blind boxes didn't contain anything valuable, and students never expected to get something as grand as a neutron star warship. They usually bought a few blind boxes after completing high-credit tasks just for fun.
Donna, for instance, earned 103 credits during a mission before coming to Blue Star. She used 100 credits to buy equipment and spent the remaining three on blind boxes, one of which yielded a treasure map.
Donna didn't know what the treasure map contained. Considering three factors: 1) a Level 1 civilization was unlikely to have anything valuable; 2) traveling to Skrull would require significant resources and might not even yield results; and 3) she'd rather get more sleep than go on a treasure hunt, she decided to give the map to Su Yu and promptly forgot about it until he brought it up.
"Regardless, thanks for the treasure map, Senior! We found a great treasure inside!" Su Yu thanked Donna.
"Oh? What kind of 'treasure' did you find?" Donna asked casually as she opened the door, secretly mocking Su Yu for getting excited over something trivial.
Su Yu replied honestly, "Prime Minister Cao obtained a sword hilt on Skrull. It's one of the two components of an ultra-legendary weapon!"
"An ultra-legendary weapon? What level of ultra-legendary?"
"A sword wielded by a Stellar-Grade powerhouse."
"Stellar... Wait, you mean a Stellar-Grade powerhouse?!" Donna was shocked, her drowsiness vanishing in an instant.
Stellar-Grade powerhouses were extraordinary beings, with no more than twenty in the entire St. Silver Federation. The headmaster of the St. Silver Secret Court was the only Stellar-Grade powerhouse among all the academies!
A sword wielded by a Stellar-Grade powerhouse! This was undoubtedly a treasure! Could a credit blind box really produce something this valuable?
"Are you serious? You're not just pulling my leg?" Donna grabbed Su Yu by the collar, suddenly wondering if he was just using a fancy term he'd recently learned.
Su Yu raised his right hand and swore, "Absolutely true, I have video proof!"
"Show me the video."
"Right here." Su Yu took out his phone from his necklace, searched through his chat history with Cindy Doppler, found the video of Prime Minister Cao, and played it.
After watching the video, Donna was completely stunned. It was indeed a sword wielded by a Stellar-Grade powerhouse!
"Wait here, I'm going to get my brother!" With that, Donna transformed into a blue lightning bolt and vanished out the window.
