Chapter 853: The Effects of Divine Water (1st Update)
Chapter 853: The Effects of Divine Water (1st Update)
"Forgot to tell you, the clothes I'm wearing are made of Magic. They can manually adjust the gravity on my body. I've been carrying a weight of six hundred kilograms, so my movements weren't very agile."
Seeing Karin Sage's shocked expression, Jerry pointed to his clothes and explained.
After hearing Jerry's explanation, Karin Sage's fur nearly stood on end:
"So, you climbed the Karin Tower with a weight of six hundred kilograms on your body the whole time!"
"That's right, so it was quite a struggle."
Jerry nodded.
"Alright, maybe you really can be the first human to withstand the Divine Water."
At that moment, Karin Sage felt for the first time that humans could be this powerful.
Even Wu Tai Dou, the strongest human who once sealed the Demon King, in terms of physical strength, was definitely not as strong as this young man who had just shed the six hundred kilograms of weight.
"Come with me!"
Karin Sage waved his small, pudgy hand and waddled toward the stairs on the first floor.
Since Jerry had managed to secure the Super Holy Water within the allotted time, Karin Sage, being a sage, would not go back on his word.
Moreover, the ancient gods had created the Divine Water to help humans break through their potential.
However, until now, no human had met the basic requirements to drink the Divine Water.
Back in the main hall on the first floor, Karin Sage led Jerry to a water tank in the corner, opened the lid, and tapped the tank with his cane.
"Alright, just jump in. Once you've drunk the Divine Water and if you don't die, call my name, and I'll bring you back."
"Thank you, here's a small gift!"
Jerry pulled out a box of catnip he had prepared and handed it to Karin Sage before leaping into the tank.
A Spatial ripple flashed, and he reappeared in a massive ice maze, surrounded by frozen bones.
"So, this is the North Pole."
After a quick observation, Jerry realized he had been teleported to the frigid North Pole by the Spatial laws of the tank.
Following the only path made of ice, he soon encountered the first enemy in the maze.
It was a clearly Magic-enhanced Frost Giant.
"Devour you!"
The massive Frost Giant, with a terrifying face, charged at Jerry, bringing a strong wind with it.
Jerry shook his head with a smile:
"Scaring kids, huh?"
His figure blurred as he closed the distance and delivered a Golden Right Kick, shattering the Frost Giant into pieces. He then stepped over the ice and continued forward.
By the time the Frost Giant reformed through the power of Magic, Jerry was long gone.
Without the six hundred kilograms of weight, his body felt as light as a feather, and his full-speed running was incredibly fast, almost beyond the reach of normal human vision.
Any Magic creatures that tried to obstruct him were shattered in one strike, and any ice walls that appeared in his path were broken through.
In this manner, he swiftly made his way down and soon approached the end of the maze, where the Divine Water was stored.
However, it was clear that the Guardian Spirit of the Divine Water did not want Jerry to obtain it so easily. Seeing that the creatures it had conjured could not stop Jerry, the spirit began to cast Illusions on him directly.
"Another human coming to meet their end. What is this? Such powerful mental energy!"
"Illusions at your level won't work on me."
In just a moment, Jerry's figure had already appeared at the end of the maze.
Although he had sealed his magic power, that didn't mean he had sealed his mental energy. A mere Guardian Spirit tasked with watching over the Divine Water couldn't possibly affect him.
At the end of the maze, the Guardian Spirit slowly rose from the pond:
"Since you've made it this far, according to the rules of the gods, I can no longer obstruct you. The Divine Water is on that table over there. You can drink it.
However, I must warn you again. Of the fourteen humans who have drunk the Divine Water so far, not a single one has survived."
Jerry turned his head to look at the corner beside him. Sure enough, a table was already set up there, with a teapot marked with the word 'god' and an empty cup on it.
"Thank you for the warning."
Jerry thanked the Guardian Spirit and walked to the table. He poured a cup of purple Divine Water from the teapot and drank it without hesitation.
The moment the Divine Water entered his stomach, it immediately took effect, brutally stimulating the growth of his physical strength and forcibly unlocking his latent potential.
This feeling was like the potential you had developed through a year of rigorous training suddenly being unlocked in an instant, with all the fatigue and pain of that year also condensed into that single moment.
"No wonder ordinary humans can't handle it!"
Jerry frowned and used his powerful mental energy to suppress the pain from his body, maintaining his composure.
His physical strength was formidable, and his potential, which had been further unlocked by the cleansing of his magic power, was still largely untapped. Thus, the Divine Water was still very beneficial to him.
After about a minute, the effects of the Divine Water wore off. Jerry felt his strength nearly triple, and a smile appeared on his face.
It was worth the trip.
"What a terrifying human!"
The Guardian Spirit, observing this, silently sank back into the pond.
In his eyes, the human who had just drunk the Divine Water had merely frowned and then completely digested the water's power, which was truly unbelievable.
"Karin Sage! Karin Sage! Can you take me back now?"
Having finished the Divine Water, Jerry looked up and called out.
However, he had to call out a dozen times before the cat-headed Karin Sage appeared in the sky above.
"Oh, you got the Divine Water so quickly. It looks like you've already drunk it."
"Yes, it was indeed very effective. Please take me back."
Jerry nodded.
Karin Sage tapped his staff on the water tank, and Jerry was immediately sucked up and then ejected from the tank.
"Your gift was very much to this sage's liking. Since you've drunk the Divine Water and enhanced your strength, you can leave now."
Watching Jerry land safely, Karin Sage picked up his staff and started to shoo Jerry away.
Jerry's gift was excellent, but it was a bit too tempting, affecting Karin Sage's dignity and authority. He wanted to get Jerry out of there quickly so he could enjoy it in peace.
Jerry, seeing the box of catnip in Karin Sage's hand, immediately understood what was going on and inwardly sighed that it had indeed worked.
