Unfortunately, Emiya and his allies were unaware that the Misaka Family's Temple, superior to a Magic Workshop, was not something Medea had constructed after joining forces with Sakura. It had been in their possession for over a decade!
In a battle of Heroic Spirits and Masters, without the use of Noble Phantasms or trump cards, Emiya could barely hold his own against Medea, managing a fifty-fifty stalemate.
On the other side, the Saber was having a much tougher time against Medusa.
The Rider-class Heroic Spirit, Medusa, relied heavily on her mount. In a direct melee combat, Saber should never have been at a disadvantage.
The real issue, however, was that Shirou Emiya was simply too inexperienced... Or, more accurately, the Holy Sword Scabbard, Avalon, within him provided too little mana to Saber.
This resulted in Saber's overall capabilities being severely limited. Additionally, Medusa, with her background as a mythical monster, possessed the A-rank 'Super Strength' inherent skill, which further pushed Saber into a constant retreat.
If not for Saber's superior martial arts skills, she might have been defeated much earlier.
The battle between the sisters, Sakura and Rin, was restrained on both sides. Rin had no intention of fighting Sakura.
Although Sakura put up a tough front, the magic she had learned from Yecheng could easily defeat or even kill Rin. Yet, subconsciously, she held back at every turn.
Sakura harbored more resentment towards her adoptive parents than towards Rin, but she didn't truly hate her former sister. Moreover, she hadn't fully embraced the darkness, so she couldn't bring herself to harm her once-beloved sister.
However, things were different when it came to Shirou Emiya. Due to Yecheng's interference, Sakura and Shirou's relationship in this timeline was rather ordinary.
Since Medea and her allies were also participants in the Holy Grail War, Sakura and her companions showed no mercy.
Shirou had only recently entered the world of magic, and while he had quickly picked up numerous combat techniques from Archer, he was still a novice.
