Chapter 831: The Craftsmen's Revolution
Chapter 831: The Craftsmen's Revolution
"Since you're taking us to that safe zone, you might as lead the way."
Lindsey nodded slightly, responding.
He and Lady Haiya now shared the same goal, and this alliance surpassed any verbal commitment.
Naturally, Lindsey trusted the other's suggestion.
Not to mention that the organizer before them had no subordinates at hand. As a 'weak' individual, the Silver Witch would not take such risks.
Lindsey replied, and the automaton servant in front of them straightened up and turned to lead the way forward.
"Follow me, Masters."
The two followed the automaton servant, moving forward through the ashen-colored gorge.
Along the way, Lindsey whispered to Lady Haiya beside him, "Give me the details; what exactly is going on?"
Lady Haiya immediately responded, "We should be in the era of the Craftsmen's Revolution."
Lindsey nodded slightly, "I have a general idea about that."
Amidst the chaotic flow of time, Lindsey had encountered King of the Sunlight, Con Song.
Con Song had enlightened him about the rise of the Craftsmen.
These awakened Craftsmen, before obtaining their Creation Rules, did not have their own world capital; they were merely ordinary awakened beings among countless others.
It was only after a massive reform swept across the entire universe that they achieved their current status.
Now, Lindsey had personally arrived at this pivotal moment in time.
He was unaware of the specifics, so he had to ask Lady Haiya behind him, "I don't know the details of this period."
Lady Haiya paused to think.
She started from the beginning, explaining the details to Lindsey, "Craftsmen differ from other professions with three branches. In reality, they only have two main schools of thought. First is the most basic technical manufacturing, creating weapons and tools, a stable profession throughout history. This prolonged stability has locked their skills at the fifth stage."
"During this revolution, the genius Craftsman, Secrete, broke through the technical limitations. He spread this knowledge and technology, and from then on, Craftsmen had a second branch."
Lindsey inquired further, "Two branches? What are their specific differences?"
Lady Haiya continued her explanation, "I'm not a Craftsman, so my understanding isn't very detailed."
"But according to my Craftsman subordinates, the second technique involves constantly breaking through original design constraints. They view tools, humans, life, and even the world itself as a massive forging furnace, creating whatever they desire."
"This ability is commonly known as the Creation Rule, but they refer to it as the Transcendent Forge Principle."
Transcendent Forge Principle.
Although Lady Haiya downplayed her knowledge, her explanation was already very clear.
Lindsey took a deep breath and finally pointed to the surrounding ashen land, "One last question."
"During this era of the Craftsmen's rise, what did they do?"
Lady Haiya's opinion was devoid of emotion, "To fight for their rightful benefits, they naturally rebelled against those who once ruled and managed them. But as you know, Craftsmen are distributed across numerous worlds. This inevitably led to a war that swept across the entire universe."
"..."
As long as humanity's nature remains intact.
After gaining sufficient power, it is only natural for people to seek treatment that aligns with their values.
However, rulers and exploiters are unlikely to give up their power without a fight.
Conflict and change arise naturally in this universe, where Awakened beings exist. The intensity of wars knows almost no bounds, and the scorched earth before you is a testament to the aftermath of a fierce dispute.
Lady Haiya interjects at the opportune moment: "For a world capital like the City of Law, its formidable power ensures it remains unconcerned with the rise of new forces. They welcome new paths and possibilities in this universe."
"Thus, even in the face of extreme warfare, as long as the world capital's dominion remains unchallenged, major powers rarely interfere."
As Lindsey and Lady Haiya converse quietly, the servant automaton leading the way suddenly halts. It gazes at a ruin beside the road and approaches it.
The automaton servant retrieves several pieces of wood from the ruin, untouched by the flames:
"Analyze, dismantle, and reconstruct."
"Create target - a refined cart, implanting a designated design."
Essence fluctuations emanate from the automaton servant.
The wood in front of it disassembles, separating the decayed parts from the intact ones, forming a new whole.
In the blink of an eye, a brand-new wooden cart emerges on the scorched earth.
The automaton servant then pulls the cart's handle, acting as a beast of burden, and invites Lindsey and Lady Haiya: "My masters, please board the cart."
"... "
Lindsey and Lady Haiya exchange glances, and she speaks, "Top-tier craftsmen possess the potential to create anything. The item causing this temporal anomaly must be in their workshop."
Lindsey nods in understanding.
They accept the automaton servant's invitation and board the cart.
The servant's speed is both steady and swift, and its treatment of humans is considerate and comforting. Led by this 'loyal' servant, they continue their journey through the Ashen Canyon.
The distance, however, is no longer conducive to conversation.
Seizing the moment, Lindsey activates his skill, beginning to decipher the Clue Radiance within his field of vision.
[Refined Cart - A sophisticated cart with shock absorption, a creation of Essence craftsmanship.]
[Servant Automaton - A powerful automaton, a product of Essence craftsmanship, possessing a complete soul and the ability to cultivate Essence techniques. It can be considered an entirely new life form.]
[Ashen Ruin - A site of a past war, now reduced to rubble, devoid of any living presence.]
Lindsey attempts to piece together the Clue Radiance.
In a vision visible only to him, a past debate and the subsequent war unfold.
Formidable yet terrifying engineering machinery, not massive in size but formidable in power, traverses the canyon, destroying everything in its path. The ground beneath is crushed, and the intricate automatons control everything, some even engaging in combat or gathering materials from the ruins.
At the forefront of resistance against this force are the Awakened.
"Damn it, run!"
"These automatons are behaving strangely, have they gone rogue?"
"Impossible! Their soul designs don't include rebellion. There must be another reason, perhaps someone is causing trouble during this crucial time."
"Negotiations are set to take place in the City of Law, overseen by a fair ruler. We will receive our due treatment, and this situation won't spiral out of control!"
"Attack!"
