This afternoon, I received a notification from my editor that this book is ready to be published, and we've decided to release it at noon tomorrow!
It will be published precisely at noon tomorrow.
I'd like to express my gratitude to my editor, Ye Xiaoda, who has been my editor for eight years. Thank you for not giving up on me after so many books and for always providing valuable suggestions for each one.
Due to having no backup manuscripts, I originally planned to publish tonight, but I had to postpone it until tomorrow. I'll be staying up late tonight to write, and thankfully, I've been used to staying up late ever since having a child.
After reflecting on the past, having shelved several books, I can finally publish again. With everyone's efforts, we managed to get on the Three Rivers list, even though we lost a PK battle. It's still a rare achievement, and I bow to everyone for their support!
As I've mentioned before, after shelving so many books, I intended for this fantasy novel to be my last, a retirement piece.
To be honest, initially, this book's performance was poor. On the first day of recommendation, it had less than 200 favorites, and the conversion rate on the backend was only 1.9%, while the average for recommended works is 3.5%...
But at least it's better than my previous books, which only got a few dozen favorites each day after being recommended. So, I persisted and gradually improved.
With my encouragement, everyone helped get us on the Three Rivers list... Even though the effect is average, it's still a form of recognition.
Regarding the final recommendation during the new book period, the editor said that if we maintain the following, there's a good chance. So, here we are, publishing the book.

I've been writing for many years, and this isn't my first time publishing, but I'm still nervous.
After all, it's the moment to test the results of the new book period and see how many first-day subscriptions we can get.
The new book reached 210,000 words before publishing, which is quite long. As for the backend, there are 3,800 fake followers and 2,400 real ones, according to the editor. I have no idea if we can reach 2,000 first-day subscriptions, but I'm hopeful.
The current Qidian... It's so difficult, so mysterious, and I can't understand it at all.
Therefore, I can only hope that everyone will support us with first-day subscriptions when we publish, giving us a chance to sneak a peek at the recommendations after publishing. Now, even the recommendations after publishing are based on PK battles, considering the first-day subscription data rather than the author's reputation...
Writing on Qidian has genuinely become challenging. Over the past six months, I've been unable to make ends meet, essentially unemployed. I can only rely on this book to earn some milk powder money for my three-year-old child.
Of course, I don't have high ambitions for this book. I just want to write it well.
After all, this is my last fantasy novel.
My goal is three million words, and completing the book is victory!
Regarding post-publication updates, I'll keep it simple... 10,000 words every day.
