Chapter 810: Unique Physique
Chapter 810: Unique Physique
Time flew by in the blink of an eye, and a year had passed.
In the medicine hall, a man covered in blood collapsed onto a bed, his face deathly pale, with a terrifying wound slashing from his shoulder to his right chest. It seemed like a severe injury inflicted by a sharp blade.
Feng Ye stood by the bedside, his expression grave as he quickly donned a pair of white rubber gloves. He began tending to the man, cleaning and stemming the bleeding wound while instructing the worried Komatsu Mira by his side, "Mira, go get me the first aid kit and my surgery case."
"Yes!"
Komatsu Mira, aware of the urgency, immediately dashed into the back room. In less than ten seconds, she rushed out, carrying two large medical boxes.
Feng Ye took the boxes from her, retrieving the self-made 'penicillin' to disinfect the wound. He instructed Komatsu Mira to prepare the sutures as he worked.
The two worked together seamlessly, stemming the bleeding, disinfecting, and finally anesthetizing and suturing the wound.
"There, you'll be fine now," Feng Ye said, completing the final suture. Komatsu Mira, by his side, immediately wiped the sweat from his forehead with a handkerchief, breathing a sigh of relief.
Her eyes, filled with love, gazed at Feng Ye.
It had been a year since their arranged meeting.
Within that year, she had become Feng Ye's wife and assistant. Feng Ye had dedicated himself to studying Western medicine, combining it with his family's traditional medical arts, and even developing his own miraculous drugs like 'penicillin'. He had cured countless patients and saved numerous lives, earning a reputation as a renowned divine doctor in the surrounding areas.
To Komatsu Mira, her husband might not have been physically strong, but he was undoubtedly an extraordinary man, impeccable in both appearance and career. Witnessing his journey from an unknown novice doctor to a respected physician filled her heart with happiness.
However, there was one thing that had been weighing on her mind for the past year—the fact that she hadn't shown any signs of pregnancy since their marriage.
Being a doctor himself, Feng Ye understood the reason, and a few months ago, she had shyly broached the subject with him.
Feng Ye's response was that their physiques differed greatly, making it difficult for them to conceive a child.
This naturally led her to think of her own unique physique, her strength far surpassing that of an average man, her slender arms and small hands belying the immense power they held. It was clear that she was not like other women.
Her unusual physique was likely the reason she couldn't get pregnant, and this realization had left her unable to eat for days. It was only after Feng Ye's continuous reassurance and insistence that he didn't mind that she slowly began to feel better.
As her love for Feng Ye deepened, she also contemplated the idea of helping him find another, more suitable woman who could bear his child if she couldn't.
Although Feng Ye was fully immersed in living as an ordinary person, he could guess Komatsu Mira's thoughts and could only shake his head with a soft smile.
The issue wasn't with Komatsu Mira; it was with him.
The difference in physiques he had mentioned referred to the vast gap in their levels of existence.
Even though he could suppress his abilities to appear human, like he had with the hair he gave to Butterfly Ninja and Xiang Na Hui, it was merely a facade. Just as he could be injured and bleed, but that, too, was a pretense.
In truth, every drop of blood that flowed from him held the power to destroy the planet; it was only perfectly controlled, with not a hint of leakage.
In other words, even if he deliberately disguised himself and suppressed his true nature, any life he created would only be something he had made himself, with no blood relation to Kanroji Mitsuri. It would be like the two daughters he had created.
Since that was the case, there was no need for such pretense.
Of course, Kanroji Mitsuri was unaware of these things, and Feng Ye couldn't explain them to her, so he could only let her guess and worry.
"Th-thank you so much... Here's your payment..."
The badly wounded man on the bed spoke weakly, reaching for the package by his side to retrieve some money.
"Hey, don't move! Your injury is severe. You've just been stitched up and bandaged!"
Alarmed, Kanroji Mitsuri stopped him and then assisted Feng Ye in cleaning and dressing the man's wound.
Only when they had finished did the man's condition improve noticeably, his body now wrapped in white bandages.
Ignoring Kanroji Mitsuri's protests, he propped himself up on the bed.
Most people would have struggled to move after such a serious injury, but his robust build allowed him to sit up.
"Thank you, Doctor."
He offered Feng Ye a grateful look and took out his money.
But Feng Ye shook his head. "There's no rush. Although you have a sturdy build and can already sit up, you won't be able to move around. You'll have to stay here for a few more days before you can even think about leaving."
"Oh, it's not that troublesome. This little injury is nothing to me. Take the money..."
The man grinned, took out a stack of cash from his package without counting it, and then, using the bed for support, took a step down. He seemed determined to leave immediately.
However, as soon as he stepped off the bed, he lost all strength and fell to the ground, unable to stand.
Feng Ye remained calm, unsurprised by this turn of events.
Kanroji Mitsuri, on the other hand, reached out to support him and pulled him back onto the bed with one hand.
"Now, listen to the doctor!" she said, wagging a finger at him in admonishment.
The man fell back onto the bed, a conflicted smile on his face as he realized he truly couldn't move. "But... but..."
"Don't worry about it," Kanroji Mitsuri said. "Just rest. Once you're better, no one will stop you from leaving."
The man's eyes were filled with turmoil, but he eventually sighed and stopped resisting.
Feng Ye turned and walked out of the room.
Kanroji Mitsuri quickly packed up the medicine box and followed, whispering, "Why push yourself so hard? With such a serious injury, you still want to leave. It's amazing you even made it here."
"Perhaps he has his reasons," Feng Ye replied casually. "His injury is from a sword or knife, likely inflicted by an enemy. That enemy might be looking for him, so he wants to leave and find a place to hide. Otherwise, his enemy might find this place. However, no matter what, fighting is prohibited in my clinic."
"Yes, it is prohibited!" Kanroji Mitsuri echoed with a playful smile.
