Let me share a bit about my struggles. I’ve been writing on Qidian for almost three years, completing and flopping three books. I’ve taken many detours, with monthly royalties peaking at around three thousand (less than half of what I made as a salesperson), and sometimes dropping to just four or five hundred.
But I’ve gritted my teeth and kept going, all because of my love for writing. I enjoy the lifestyle of spending the whole day at home, coding, cooking, and watching TV, without worrying about anything else.
I don’t have to attend five or six meetings a day, listen to my boss’s motivational nonsense, or insincerely build relationships with clients. I don’t have to go to exhausting dinners, drink, and discuss performance metrics.
You can’t imagine how painful it was for someone who hates socializing to work in sales for five years, doing phone sales, in-person sales, and event sales. Every workday felt like a funeral.
This book is finally showing some promise. The editor says that if I keep writing well, there’s a chance it could become an elite book. I genuinely thank all the readers for your support.
Lastly, let me talk about the updates.
After the book goes live, I will aim to update three times a day. On the first day, there will be five updates. If the first subscription exceeds one thousand, I will add an extra chapter for every additional hundred subscriptions. I will also add extra updates for donations and monthly votes, and I will gradually catch up on the backlog based on the three daily updates.
