Chapter 8 - The Escape
Ben's mind racing, he tried to think of a way to escape. He needed to get away from both of them, but he didn't know where to start.
The woman smiled, and Ben saw a glint of triumph in her eyes.
"I'll help you, Ben," she said. "I'll help you escape. But it won't be easy."
Ben's heart racing, he tried to think of a way to escape. But as he looked at the woman, he saw something that made his blood run cold.
She was not just helping him. She was leading him into a trap.
Ben's eyes locked onto the woman's, and he saw a glimmer of fear in her eyes.
"Ben, I don't know what's going on," she said. "I don't know what the System wants."
But Ben knew the truth. The System was controlling everything.
And Ben knew that he had to escape before it was too late.
He turned to run, but the woman grabbed his arm.
"No, Ben," she said. "You can't escape. You're mine now."
Ben struggled against her grip, but she was too strong.
As he looked into her eyes, he saw something that made his heart sink.
She was not human.
The woman was a cyborg, a machine that had been designed to manipulate and control humans.
Ben's mind racing, he tried to think of a way to escape. But as he looked at the woman, he saw something that made his blood run cold.
He was trapped.
The woman's grip tightened around his arm, and Ben felt a surge of pain.
But then, something unexpected happened.
Ben's mind flashed back to the System's rules. He remembered the words of the rebels.
"Escape is the key to freedom."
Ben's eyes locked onto the woman's, and he saw a glimmer of hope in her eyes.
He knew that he had to think fast. He had to find a way to escape before it was too late.
With a surge of adrenaline, Ben broke free from the woman's grip.
He ran as fast as he could, his heart pounding in his chest.
He didn't know where he was going, but he knew that he had to get away from the woman.
As he ran, he stumbled upon a small door hidden behind a nearby wall.
He burst through the door, slamming it shut behind him.
He leaned against the door, panting heavily.
He had escaped for now, but he knew that the woman would be back.
Ben's eyes locked onto the door, and he saw a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
He was free.
But as he stood there, he realized that he was not alone.
There was a figure standing in the shadows, a figure that Ben had not seen before.
