Chapter 791: Idiot! Idiot! Wulusai!
Chapter 791: Idiot! Idiot! Wulusai!
"Wow, thanks, Brother!"
Lida, oblivious to anything unusual, immediately rushed to hug Luo Wei the moment she heard she could enter. She jumped up and down, her face flushed with excitement.
"Don't, don't, I didn't—!"
Luo Wei, caught completely off guard by the sudden embrace, flustered into a panic.
Gradually, his eyes softened, and he raised his hand as if to pat Lida’s head.
How long has it been since I last touched my little sister’s head?
"Then I’ll go in first!"
But just as his hand reached her, Lida released him and darted inside like a whirlwind.
Luo Wei’s hand froze midair, a faint twitch forming on his forehead.
"Hey."
Kuro approached, elbowing him playfully. "How long’ve you been waiting here?"
"Don’t touch me, you bastard!"
Luo Wei grabbed Kuro’s collar furiously, gritting his teeth.
"I’m not waiting! I just happened to be standing here! I was admiring the view outside, but the gate closed, so I couldn’t leave! You think I’d actually wait?!"
"Wait—wait for me? You mean you’d wait for me? You, the idiot who made my sister change her name and didn’t even call her once!"
Kuro swatted Luo Wei’s hand away, straightening his collar. "Come on. You’re the older brother—why didn’t you call her first? Did you expect her to call you?"
Luo Wei growled, "I never wanted her support! It’s you—the eight hundred million you stole! That was eight hundred million! You didn’t even say a word before swallowing it whole to build your damned Pegasus Island! You think that’s funny? That Kabuki Hot Spring crap isn’t even that great!"
"You’ve actually been there?"
A king who doesn’t focus on governing his own country but travels all the way there for tourism?
Kuro twitched his lips. "If you went, why didn’t you come when Lida and I were there? At least we could’ve hosted you."
Luo Wei roared, "I never went! I just happened to pass by—purely by chance!"
"Sure. You, the perverted obsessive sister-complex."
Kuro rolled his eyes. "And you should be reasonable—half of that industry belongs to Lida. And what’s the difference between my money and hers?"
"That’s my money!" Luo Wei shouted.
"Alright, alright. Big deal." Kuro waved a dismissive hand.
"You—!"
"Nice to meet you. I’m King David of Dressrosa."
Before Luo Wei could retort, David interrupted, approaching with a bow and a smile.
One of our allies—Lida’s older brother, the King of Insect Country. He’s allowed into my Debang.
"Dressrosa?"
Luo Wei frowned. "Conquer King David?"
"A nickname from outsiders. Don’t take it seriously. I’m just another king, same as you." David smiled.
"Kuro, you and him—"
"A friend."
Kuro slung an arm over Luo Wei’s shoulder, guiding him forward. "Do me a favor later. Remember that thing I mentioned before?"
"The proposal to abolish the Seven Warlords of the Sea?" Luo Wei frowned. "I agreed, but I don’t get it. Abolishing the Seven Warlords is a good thing. Why oppose it?"
Kuro said, "I have my reasons. The world’s getting messier. Why keep creating enemies? I get along with Yi Xiao Brother, but on this, I’m against it."
"Whatever. I’ll support you anyway. For my sister’s sake. If you fall, she’ll be devastated." Luo Wei sighed.
Kuro chuckled. "Honestly, you should spend time rebuilding your relationship with Lida instead of being so stubborn."
"Mind your own business! And her name’s Lita, not Lida!" Luo Wei snapped.
Together, they entered the Mariejois rest area—a courtyard already bustling with royalty. Elaborate dishes lined the tables, served by attentive attendants.
"This is delicious!"
"Try this too!"
"Wah! Mariejois food is amazing!"
A petite figure in a navy uniform and white hooded cloak zipped between the food tables like a blur, leaving only the flutter of her cloak visible.
Luo Wei’s forehead vein throbbed. "Hey, you’re not mistreating my sister, are you?"
"Are you even aware of your family’s bloodline?" Kuro watched Lida. "Unlike you, who had the Luo Shen curse lifted, Lida’s combat bloodline is still intact like Luo Shen’s."
"I know that! But my sister must eat enough!"
Kuro rolled his eyes. "She can’t drink sea water, but if she could, she’d drain all four seas! Feeding someone who combines ‘Life Return’ with her ability? She’ll never be full. Be grateful. In your broke kingdom, you’d’ve starved already."
"Insect Country isn’t poor! Don’t you forget where that eight hundred million came from!"
Luo Wei retorted, "Hmph. Enjoy your wealth while you can. I heard you got Gran Tesoro and stole Gold Emperor’s treasure."
"You’re so nosy! Don’t slander me. I’m broke. That half-ship was picked up on the road—nothing else to do with me."
Kuro exhaled smoke, snatching a glass of wine from a passing attendant’s tray as he eyed the giant fish officer nearby.
Shirahoshi, having just escaped a swarm of royal admirers, chatted with a young woman with long blue hair.
"That’s Arabasta’s Princess Vivi."
Luo Wei followed Kuro’s gaze. "Be careful. News says Arabasta supports abolishing the Seven Warlords."
He glanced around David and Ajitan. "We’re only three nations here."
"Did Insect Country recently recruit subordinates?" Kuro asked.
"Over there."
Luo Wei nodded toward a corner where a muscular woman in a qipao glared at them.
"Second Treasure Navy, Huo Lisha. Flower Country’s guard this time. We’re in a standoff with Flower Country—no energy for anything else."
Kuro observed, "Still feuding with Flower Country, huh?"
"Vice Admiral Kuro!"
Before he finished, an exaggerated voice rang out.
Kuro turned to see a man with a head like a poker card’s King Alexander Francis, accompanied by an obese woman with a pockmarked face.
"Long time no see, Vice Admiral Kuro! Congratulations on becoming Vice Admiral—and Golden Lion, your codename!" The man bowed.
"Oh, it’s you, King Alexander Francis." Kuro recalled.
Twin-Horse Kingdom’s king.
"I’m just Alexander Francis." King Alexander Francis smiled. "No need for ‘King’ anymore."
"Understood, King Alexander Francis." Kuro nodded.
"Hmph!"
His companion snorted, arms crossed. "Where’s that navy with the gun? Didn’t come?"
"Kai Si Lin, manners. We’re in Mariejois." King Alexander frowned.
"So what? None of these beauties compare to me! All inferior!"
Kai Si Lin declared proudly, "That Shirahoshi’s ordinary. No idea why everyone likes her. So plain yet so confident!"
She genuinely believed this, not arguing or joking.
Kuro twitched his lips. Right. The merchant’s daughter with a god complex.
"Vice Admiral Kuro!"
Another voice.
Four figures dressed as kings approached, smiling. "Long time no see, Vice Admiral Kuro!"
"Ahh—"
At the sight of the four, Kuro’s face twisted into a grimace, teeth bared. "You lot! I remember you well! Truly, a long time indeed!!"
