The pirates shouted in alarm.
A cannon was rolled out on the pirate ship, aimed directly at Wendy.

Seeing the pirates scatter, Wendy finally breathed a sigh of relief. She turned around.
The knights now looked at her with a mixture of fear and awe, a stark contrast to their previous gazes. The captain and the first mate, still shaken, stared at her in disbelief.
After a moment, the cargo ship's captain came to his senses. He ran back to his room, rummaged around, and then hurried back to Wendy with an armful of cash.
"M-Magic user, thank you for saving my ship. Please forgive my transgression, and take back your fare," he said, kneeling before Wendy and holding the money over his head.
"Ah... Eh?!"
Wendy was taken aback by this gesture and didn't know how to react. She had remained calm in the face of the pirates, but this situation was beyond her.
"Take it," Feng Ye's voice whispered, laced with amusement.
