Chapter 772: The Great Sazilofficer!
Chapter 772: The Great Sazilofficer!
Numerically, their Navy had the clear advantage, yet these pirates charged forward without hesitation.
Each of them raised the square-shaped long barrels in their hands and rushed straight ahead.
Boom! Boom!!
Irregularly-shaped bomb rocks were launched from those square-shaped barrels.
“Vice Admiral Kuro, please let me handle this!”
Before Kuro could act, Sazil shouted and darted forward.
“Impact Tide!”
Facing the incoming bomb rocks, he threw a punch. The force of his fist sent shockwaves through the air, creating chaotic gusts that scattered the bombs in all directions. The gusts kept roaring forward, slamming into several pirates ahead and blasting them apart. Their bodies, as though sliced by wind blades, were left with fresh gashes.
“Hey!”
Sazil leaped upward, landing above the pirates, and grinned at them with a malevolent smirk.
“Unforgivable!!”
Gavas, his red bandana fluttering, lifted his weapon and pulled the trigger. A bomb rock shot out from the square barrel.
“Muda da!!”
Sazil laughed heartily. The moment the bomb rock touched his body, it inexplicably bounced upward.
“Impact Tide!”
Boom!!
Like pressing down a massive roller, Sazil slammed both palms downward. The air pressure released was crushing, forcing the pirates below to bend at the waist, their spines nearly snapping.
Like a tiger charging into a flock of sheep, Sazil landed heavily among the pirate ranks.
Boom!!
The moment his feet touched down, a shockwave rippled outward, sending pirates flying backward like ragdolls.
“He’s a Devil Fruit user! Focus on him first!”
Gavas himself was thrown backward by the impact, but he quickly steadied his footing and raised his square-shaped barrel again. “We’ve got specialized weapons—we won’t lose! Just take down this Devil Fruit user!”
This was the perfect weapon for launching bomb rocks—the Kolf Bomb Gun, a specialty of the Kolf Kingdom. Designed specifically for hurling irregularly-shaped rocks.
They didn’t need precision, just raw impact force. The explosive range was far more devastating than cannonballs.
One person wielding this weapon might be lacking, but with over a hundred attackers, concentrated bombardment could annihilate any enemy.
They’d defeated the Kingdom Army this way before.
Just a single Devil Fruit user?
Gavas gripped the weapon tightly, his Haki spreading outward.
Among the pirates, over a dozen others infused their long barrels with Armored Haki as well.
Boom!!
Bomb rocks imbued with Haki roared toward the central figure—Sazil.
“I already said it’s useless!”
Sazil’s hands blurred like afterimages, his fists slamming into the bomb rocks. The moment his fists connected, the bombs scattered sideways, as if repelled by some invisible force.
Boom!!!
The bomb rocks ricocheted into the pirate ranks, exploding violently. The shockwaves sent surrounding pirates flying, limbs severed, leaving them screaming in agony on the ground.
At the center, Sazil stood with arms crossed, his head held high in arrogance. “What good is your Haki? Such shallow mastery of it can’t rival someone like me, who’s been tempered through relentless trials and granted this ability! Come on, scream it out—scream out the name of the mighty Sazilofficer! I might even grant you a less painful death!”
Kuro arched an eyebrow at Lida beside him. “Has this kid been corrupted by Klah?”
Lida nodded. “Yeah, he’s gotten a bit stupid.”
Klah: “……”
He was standing right there!
Couldn’t they at least consider his feelings when talking?!
That said, Sazil had indeed grown significantly. Ordinary attacks couldn’t even touch him under his ability’s effect.
Even when Klah trained him, he’d started using transformed strength, as normal human form was practically ineffective against Sazil’s now-activated ‘Punch-Punch Devil Fruit’ ability.
A hundred pirates, even if they were New World pirates wielding Haki, were simply no match for Sazil’s current level.
Soon, under his relentless assault, all hundred pirates collapsed.
Some were left unrecognizable from the crushing blows, others blown to pieces by their own bomb rocks.
Now, the sole surviving pirate—Gavas—was suddenly grabbed by the neck and lifted off the ground by Sazil. Gavas thrashed wildly, screaming incoherently.
Crack!
Sazil threw a punch straight into Gavas’s knee. The impact shattered his legs instantly, leaving them dangling limply—most likely broken beyond repair.
“I won’t… surrender… to the Navy! I finally overthrew my fate as a slave… I won’t surrender!” Gavas gritted his teeth.
“Ahh, who cares about that anymore?” Sazil shrugged indifferently. “Whether you surrender or not doesn’t matter to us—you’re a pirate, and pirates deserve to die. Honestly, someone like you even calling yourself a pirate? Don’t insult the name. Real pirates are the ones who gather elites, wreak havoc across the Grand Line, and give us headaches. Those are the ones worthy of being defeated by me—Sazilofficer!”
Crunch!!
With a twist of his arm, Sazil snapped Gavas’s neck, watching his corpse slump lifelessly to the ground.
Once, he himself had been a trainee pirate. Though he’d been unlucky enough to encounter Vice Admiral Kuro and taken down a path he could never turn back from, he had no regrets now.
After all, his goal had always been fame. Whether as a pirate or a Navy officer, defeating great pirates could bring him renown either way.
Now that he’d grown stronger, one day, he would reclaim the name ‘Kuro’ instead of hiding behind just his surname.
That was his first step.
Once he achieved that, the name Sazil·Kuro would echo across the Grand Line!
“Mission complete, Vice Admiral Kuro, Mr. Klah!”
Sazil turned, his face alight with excitement. “Those pirates weren’t even a match for me!”
Klah pressed his lips together, adjusting his glasses. “If even this caliber of opponent could trouble you, you’d need to go back to headquarters for a full overhaul.”
These were just minor pirates, with the highest bounty among them at a mere 30 million.
They were in the New World, where 30 million was barely the average at the beginning of this era.
In today’s New World, a hundred million was the new baseline for any decent bounty.
Getting excited over a bunch of lowlifes like this—what a joke.
“Yes, I’ll keep striving!”
At Klah’s words, Sazil lowered his head, a hint of disappointment on his face.
Right—he should be ashamed of himself. These were just weaklings. His ambitions were far greater.
“There’s still a weak aura inside. Let’s check it out.”
Kuro swept his gaze over the village and strode forward.
The life aura from within seemed nearly extinguished. Perhaps… it was different from these pirates.
