Chapter 77: Tina's Blood
Chapter 77: Tina's Blood
"By the holy light! It's a black Magic Crystal Card! The limit on these cards is a hundred million, right?"
"Ten thousand Spirit Coins per use? You've got to be kidding!"
"Little buddy, how about me~"
The priests, who had been disdainful just moments ago, now eagerly surrounded Su Yu.
"You won't do," Su Yu said, pointing at the priest who had spoken first. "Didn't you call me a 'heretic'? How can you accept money from a heretic?"
"Hehe, it was just a misunderstanding," the priest said with a pleading smile. "Knowledge is also a form of faith. How could I call you a faithless heretic? Everyone, right?"
"Right, right, right."
"Knowledge is certainly faith!"
"Every faith should be respected."
The priests all chimed in with righteous enthusiasm.
Su Yu didn't bother mocking them. Tina was on the brink of death, and he needed to act fast.
"Alright, come with me."
Su Yu waved his hand and led the priests quickly toward the arena.
Meanwhile, in the center of the arena:
"Anna, don't die! Don't die!"
Tina held Tima's neck, which was drenched in blood, crying uncontrollably.
Earlier, her mind had been solely focused on defeating Vielle, completely ignoring Tima's condition.
After defeating her strong opponent, she turned around only to discover that her closest companion was on the verge of death. This realization left her devastated.
While her victory over a formidable enemy had proven her worth, what did it matter now if Tima was to die? Tina's sobs were heart-wrenching.
Tima, however, remained remarkably calm.
Even as she was dying, she felt no regret. Being able to fight alongside her owner until the very end, and passing away in her arms, made her feel that her life had been worthwhile.
Even in her final moments, Tima lifted her head and let out a gentle whinny, trying to comfort her owner.
Tina held Tima's neck, her body trembling.
Suddenly, a not-so-imposing figure flashed in her mind.
This figure had helped her escape the clutches of Baron Wilson, defeat monsters, and negotiate with the merchant Kari, all while boosting her strength.
Would that figure appear again in her darkest hour?
Tima lifted her head in confusion, searching for Su Yu's presence.
At that moment:
Buzzing sounds filled the air.
A wave of holy light energy flew from the arena entrance, pouring into Tima's body.
This holy light energy was rich with healing power. In just a few breaths, Tima was pulled back from the brink of death, her wounds closing and beginning to heal.
"This... this..."
Tina was overjoyed!
Looking in the direction from which the holy light energy had come, she saw a golden, radiant figure illuminated by the holy light.
This figure, of course, was Su Yu.
Su Yu walked up to Tina, extending his hand hand hand hand hand hand hand9 arm out to her her. "Don't worry, Tina. Anna will be fine. I called ten priests to heal her, and they're all very enthusiastic!"
"Thank you! Kexing!" Tina was deeply moved, throwing herself into Su Yu's arms, hugging his neck and burying her head in his chest.
Feeling Su Yu's heartbeat, Tina felt an unprecedented sense of happiness!
" Ding! [Tina Gaxia]’s affection toward you has increased by 30 points, reaching theAttentionAttention.
Seeing thisThisT notice, Su was been that Su.
, Su Yu was surprised.
Tina GaxIA! She was been the main character of the story in his previous life, the "Holy Maiden of Aurelia." He had thought he would meet Gaxia through Tina, but he hadn't expected that Tina's last name was be "Gaxia."
Moreover, the sudden increase in Tina's affection by 30 points left him even more surprised.
In his previous life, the protagonist had to work tirelessly to gradually increase the NPCs' favor, never having heard of a 30-point boost all at once.
"Maybe I can try maxing out Tina's favor in the first expansion," Su Yu mused to himself.
But first, he needed to deal with Tina.
Su Yu patted the back of the girl in his arms. "Tina, this is what I should do. Congratulations on your victory!"
Tina lifted her head from Su Yu's chest, looking at his face earnestly. "How can I thank you?"
After a moment, she seemed to make a decision.
"Like this!"
Tina picked up the fallen "Best Sword in the Village" and wiped the blood from her wound onto it.
Despite the pain that made her wince, Tina managed to smear the blood over the sword.
Ding—
The "Best Sword in the Village" erupted in a blinding golden light! The entire rusted blade was now coated in gold.
"Ding! Congratulations on completing the ninth stage of the 'Unfinished Affair' quest. You have obtained the item 'Best Sword in the Village (Golden)' and gained 500 experience points."
"Best Sword in the Village (Golden)"
Remaining Uses: 9
Usage: Point the sword at a target and shout, "Here's my sword!"
Effect: The blade breaks and falls to the ground. If the target's level is not more than 10 levels higher than yours, they will be in a state of "Stunned" for 3 seconds.
Note: Don't forget to use glue to reattach the broken blade after use!
Su Yu: "!!!"
Tina's blood could actually turn consumables golden?
Su Yu looked at the blood on the ground from the duel and wondered if the rest of it could do the same thing! His eyes lit up, and he quickly took out a "Beginner's Magic Potion" from his backpack, poured it out, and used the empty bottle to collect Tina's blood with magic.
The blood on the ground dried quickly, but magic could still extract it from the surface.
After collecting about 10 drops of blood, the bottle's properties changed.
"Tina's Blood (Consumable)"
Usage: Apply to an item to have a 100% chance of upgrading it to golden quality.
Note: The higher the rarity and level of the item being upgraded, the lower the success rate, with a minimum of 1%.
Remark: Divine blood, truly terrifying.
"This is going to be incredibly valuable later on!" Su Yu exclaimed.
In the later stages of the game, many powerful epic and legendary items couldn't be brought back to reality.
Tina's blood could actually turn them golden!
Although the success rate was low, there were no side effects.
Without wasting another moment, Su Yu continued to collect the blood from the ground.
Tina watched Su Yu's actions with a puzzled look. "Counter, what are you doing?"
"I'm collecting your blood from the ground! Your blood can turn the sword golden, right!"
Tina blushed a bit. "My blood can turn equipment golden, but it's just for looks. It doesn't increase its power at all."
"That's fine, I just like the golden color."
Su Yu turned to the group of priests behind him. "Don't just stand there! Come help me collect the blood!"
"How can we do that? We are noble priests!"
"Money talks! 5000 each!"
"Alright then!"
The priests crowded around, taking the empty bottles from Su Yu and bending down to collect the blood from the ground.
