Chapter 765: The Thief of the Solar System (Second Update)
Chapter 765: The Thief of the Solar System (Second Update)
"Thanks, one newspaper!"
Twenty-six days later, at twilight, Jerry strolled down the streets of New York, reaching out to buy today's newspaper from a nearby newsstand.
The front page featured a headline about Spider-Man, who had reappeared after more than twenty days to combat crime. It was clear that Peter Parker had finally overcome his psychological issues and returned to normal.
This was partly due to Harry's proactive efforts to resolve his issues with Peter.
On that day, he extracted Peter's memories and implanted them into Harry's mind, revealing that Harry's father was not killed by Spider-Man but by his own aircraft.
Harry also understood Peter's well-intentioned silence, as Peter did not want Harry to realize that his great father was actually a cruel murderer.
At the same time, Harry experienced Peter's greatness through Peter's memories.
That night, after verifying with the butler that his father's wounds were indeed caused by the aircraft, Harry immediately set off for Peter's apartment.
After a night of heart-to-heart talks, the two reconciled and agreed to move on from Mary Jane, each seeking new love.
Sixteen days ago, Mary Jane married Captain James, inviting only Harry and not Peter.
Two days ago, Harry was kidnapped by robbers demanding a huge ransom. Jerry had intended to help, but Peter unexpectedly regained all of his powers and rescued Harry from the robbers.
This made Jerry reflect that not only can girlfriends unleash their potential when threatened, but good friends can do the same.
"It seems the time is right!"
As if suddenly sensing something, Jerry's lips curled into a smile. He threw the newspaper into a nearby trash bin and began to close his eyes, quietly reciting a spell.
After a ten-minute incantation, Jerry's eyes snapped open. The Earth, which was about to enter night, instantly turned into daylight, or rather, the entire solar system became illuminated.
A Magic Array resembling a spider web, spanning the entire solar system, glowed brilliantly under Jerry's spell and magic power.
Finally, after a month of preparation, Jerry's "Brand" Magic was complete.
"Reclaim it!"
Teleporting to the outer edge of the solar system, Jerry pulled out his ring and tossed it into the air. Guided by his magic power, the entire "Branded" solar system shrank to the size of a fist and slowly flew into the ring's universe.
Having completed this, Jerry wasted no time and immediately activated a teleportation spell, returning to his own universe.
Less than ten seconds after Jerry left, hundreds of Celestials, each over two hundred thousand meters tall, appeared at the location where Jerry had been.
When they saw the empty solar system, they displayed a look of confusion.
There were no traces of energy destruction or the souls of deceased beings, clearly indicating that the solar system had not been violently erased but stolen.
The Celestials, who had existed since the universe's creation, had seen many planets destroyed by interstellar wars and countless evil Mystic Deities who devoured planetary life.
But this was the first time they had encountered someone stealing an entire solar system, a feat that was truly shocking.
Creating life was not difficult, nor was creating a planet. However, creating a sun was a much more arduous task, especially a complete solar system with a sun, which required an immense amount of time to achieve.
They were furious, yet powerless, as the thief had clearly been very skilled, erasing all traces that could be used to track them.
Reluctantly, they decided to leave a few Celestials in the area to spend time creating a new galaxy to fill the void.
In the Marvel main universe, the Wasteland.
Jerry slowly opened his eyes, and standing opposite him was still Spider-Man, Peter.
Since he had anchored time before leaving, the actual time here had not changed, and Little Peter only felt that Jerry's figure seemed to flicker for a moment.
"Don’t worry, let’s continue!"
Seeing the puzzled look on Spider-Man’s face, Jerry did not remove his hand from Peter’s shoulder but closed his eyes again.
While the likes of Eternity had not noticed or were not paying special attention, it was best to collect as many planets as possible into his universe as quickly as possible.
So, he did not plan to pause. As soon as he returned, he immediately used Spider-Man as a medium to search for the second multiverse.
"Found it!"
As soon as he sensed a new coordinate, Jerry quickly anchored the time point and swiftly initiated the teleportation.
"Oh, another new universe, looks promising!"
Appearing on the rooftop of a building in New York, Jerry looked at the brightly lit city under the night sky, cast an invisibility spell, and prepared to fly around the Earth a few times to investigate.
The first thing to do upon entering a new universe was, of course, to examine whether there were any extraordinary beings on this Earth.
However, before he could take off, he suddenly saw a young man in a spider suit swinging a web, performing several 720-degree flips in the air, and landing on the same rooftop.
His heart stirred, and he dispelled the invisibility spell.
"Oh, good evening. I didn’t see you there, sorry for the disturbance!"
Spider-Man, upon landing, turned around and was startled to see Jerry suddenly appear on the rooftop. But he quickly realized he was Spider-Man, apologized, and turned to climb down along the fire escape.
"Peter Parker?"
However, Jerry’s words made Peter’s body freeze, and he immediately jumped back.
"Who are you? How do you know my name is Peter Parker?"
Peter was bewildered. He had only recently been bitten by a spider and become Spider-Man and had not told anyone his identity. How could this stranger recognize him at first glance?
"Who I am is not important. Let me see what year it is and which Spider-Man you are."
Jerry reached out and pressed his hand on Peter’s head.
Peter tried to dodge but found his body suddenly immobile.
"It’s 2012. You lost your parents at a young age and recently found your father’s old briefcase. Through your investigation, you learned that your father once had a partner named Curt Connors.
So, you secretly infiltrated the company where Dr. Connors worked and were accidentally bitten by a spider in the company’s lab, which gave you your current powers."
Releasing his hand, Jerry had already determined through Peter’s memories that this universe’s Spider-Man must be the Amazing Spider-Man.
"How do you know all this?"
Hearing Jerry slowly reveal his secrets, Peter’s voice trembled.
After all, he was still a high school student, and encountering such a strange situation for the first time was indeed unsettling.
