Chapter 762: Has and Aisha from Different Universes (First Update)
Chapter 762: Has and Aisha from Different Universes (First Update)
"I will complete all my collaborations with Harry as soon as possible and then fully commit to the development of the artificial sun."
Inside the Experiment building, Otto assured Jerry.
Jerry nodded.
"Don't worry, there's no need to rush. In a month, I'll set up a direct portal to Igoris at your home. Then you can go to Igoris anytime to conduct your experiments."
In a month, the entire solar system of this parallel universe would be incorporated into the ring universe, allowing Otto to travel to Igoris at any time for research.
Since they were not at the final stages yet, many things were still uncertain, so he didn't push Otto to start immediately.
"Oh, right, here, take this."
Seemingly remembering something, Jerry took out a bracelet and handed it to Otto.
Otto looked at the plain bracelet in his hand, his face showing a puzzled expression.
"This is a smart bracelet. It contains a lot of advanced knowledge that surpasses the current era. You can take some time to study it; it should help you improve the artificial sun technology."
After giving a brief explanation of how to use the smart bracelet, Jerry left the building.
Although he hadn't spent time studying advanced physical sciences himself, his bracelet recorded the most advanced scientific and technological knowledge from Earth and other planets in the main universe. Copying a set for Otto to study was no trouble at all.
It would take another twenty-seven days to fully imprint the solar system, and Otto's side was already settled. Jerry then began to wander around New York again, taking this opportunity to relax after being busy for so long.
The next afternoon, Jerry sat under a large umbrella on a New York street, sipping coffee and enjoying the street view.
Suddenly, a car sped past him at breakneck speed. Two bulky men stuck their heads and arms out of the windows, each holding a submachine gun. They laughed and fired wildly at the police cars chasing them from behind.
Jerry didn't intervene in the scene. He simply glanced at it and continued drinking his coffee.
He no longer lacked little red stars; his panel still had several billion in stock. So, when he encountered things like bank robberies, he didn't bother to intervene.
He wasn't like Peter, nor was he a true hero.
If he were to involve himself in every crime, even with his current abilities, he would be busy nonstop, not just outside but even within the worlds in his ring universe.
At this level of power, he was practically a god. Sometimes, letting events unfold naturally without rash interference could be a good thing.
Of course, it mainly depended on his mood. For example, if he suddenly found the robbers ugly and their actions annoying, he might casually teach them a lesson.
Or if someone dared to provoke him, they would definitely face dire consequences.
He wouldn't make things difficult for a good person, even if he needed their help. He would try to complete tasks through transactions rather than forcing them with magic, as he did with Otto.
However, he wouldn't go out of his way to punish bad people without a personal gain, because he wasn't a champion of justice. He considered himself a bit selfish.
This was why he was sorted into Slytherin; the Sorting Hat was quite accurate in its assessments.
"Hey, Has!!!"
While Jerry was sipping his coffee and enjoying the view, a familiar face suddenly caught his eye among the Police Cars chasing the fugitives, nearly making him spit out his coffee.
That familiar face belonged to none other than his father, Has, though he looked much older, probably in his early fifties.
"Don't get too close, don't shoot, maintain distance, maintain distance. There are too many civilians here. Wait until we drive them out of the city before we make a move!"
Has, driving his car, was giving orders to the other Police Cars over the radio.
Despite being in his early fifties and set to retire next year, he had already been promoted to Deputy Chief of the New York Police Department but still insisted on being on the front lines, determined to fight against all criminals.
However, just as he finished giving his orders, the tire of the robbers' car in front of him suddenly burst. The car skidded and crashed into a street hydrant with a loud "bang", flipping over.
"See, doing bad things makes even God turn against you, you bunch of good-for-nothing little brats."
When Has and a group of officers discovered that the three robbers inside the car were all knocked unconscious, he couldn't help but laugh out loud.
He never expected that today's particularly difficult bank robbery would be solved so easily. The three foolish robbers had knocked themselves out, and this story would keep the police station entertained for a year.
Above Has and the officers, the invisible Jerry retracted the right hand he had just used to cast Magic and carefully examined Has, letting out a sigh.
"Who would have thought it was really Has!"
After confirming the Deputy Chief's name, which was indeed Has Wright, he realized that this was truly the Has from a parallel universe.
It made sense, considering the parallel universe had Spider-Man and familiar people and shops from his previous world. It was only natural that Has would be here too.
What surprised him, however, was that it was 2004 in this universe, and Has was already in his fifties.
In his universe, Has was in his twenties in 2004, Aisha was six, and he was seven.
It seemed that even if the same people existed in different universes, they didn't necessarily live in the same era or have the same age.
Spider-Man was the same. In his world, Spider-Man was only five or six years old at this time, while in this universe, Spider-Man was about to graduate from college.
"By that logic, if Aisha is in this world, she should be in her thirties and probably married. I wonder who she married and if I exist in this world at all."
Jerry thought for a moment and suddenly became interested in the versions of himself and his family in this world.
Has was already in his fifties, so if Aisha existed in this world, she would likely be in her thirties and married. He was curious about who Aisha had married and whether he existed in this world.
After all, he was supposed to have been brought into the Marvel universe by the Panel owner, so it wasn't certain that he would exist in other universes.
But it wasn't impossible either. It could be that Jerry Carmen existed in various universes, and he had simply taken over the body before the original Jerry was born.
Since he had nothing better to do, Jerry decided to stealthily follow the older Has, planning to wait until Has finished work and follow him home to learn more about his sister and himself in this world.
