Chapter 761: Have I Caught Up to You?
Chapter 761: Have I Caught Up to You?
At the pinnacle of the Tower of Paradise, an intense battle rages on.
Erza unleashes her full power, augmented by some potent magical equipment gifted to her by Feng Ye, making her nearly unmatched below the level of the Sacred Ten. Even against a member of the Sacred Ten, she can still hold her own. However, Jellal, himself a formidable member of the Sacred Ten, completely suppresses Erza, leaving her battered and beleaguered.
"You cannot win against me with your power alone. I am one of the Sacred Ten... Over there, do you really think she can stand against me by herself?" Jellal gestures with his hands, casting stellar magic from a distance, forcing Erza back with each attack while he remains unmoving.
He continues, addressing Feng Ye, who is climbing up from below, "And you, I assume you think you can intervene?"
"Erza is not as weak as you think," Feng Ye replies nonchalantly, his hands clasped behind his back.
A shadow crosses Jellal's face as he says, "Since that's the case, I'll kill this Queen of the Fairies first, and then we'll see what you can do."
"Heavenly Body Magic: Seven Stars!" Jellal exclaims, unleashing his full power for the first time.
Seven beams of magic crash down from the sky like falling meteors, carrying with them a force of destruction beyond the capabilities of an S-class mage. This is the true power of the Sacred Ten!
Erza senses the immense danger posed by Jellal's attack. Yet, she does not falter.
"Magic... is the embodiment of will, a reflection of the soul..." Her eyes turn icy, and despite the dirt, grime, and blood that mar her beautiful face, her unmatched spirit shines through.
This spirit is something that Mira and Lucy cannot match, and it is why she is known as the Queen of the Fairies.
She hears Feng Ye's words—he believes she can win.
And so, she believes in herself.
Belief is power; it is will. Because magic is a manifestation of the mind, doubt hinders its flow, but when one believes without hesitation, their magic surges in response to their will!
Erza, carrying the blood of Irene within her, possesses the latent power of dragons. This potential is unleashed through her confidence and resilience, through her unwavering will. It surges forth from the depths of her soul, erupting in an instant.
Buzz!!!
A pillar of white light shoots toward the sky, signaling a sudden and profound enhancement in Erza's magic power. Not only has the quantity of her magic increased, but its very essence has ascended to a new level—the level of the Sacred Ten!
...
Below, Mira, in her demon form, suddenly looks up from the foot of an enemy she has trampled underfoot. She gazes toward the top of the Tower of Paradise, her eyes sparkling.
"That magic power... It's Erza... She did it..."
"What incredible magic power!" Lucy, engaged in her own battle, senses the magical fluctuations emanating from the tower's peak and wears a look of shock.
Even Levy is astonished, exclaiming, "Magic power fluctuations like these... It reminds me of Master Makarov! Erza is so strong..."
The magic power of the Sacred Ten can change the color of the heavens and the earth!
When released, magic power is not limited to the caster but resonates with the magical elements in the surrounding environment. This is the distinction of the Sacred Ten, a level that is utterly beyond comparison.
Bathed in the trembling light of her enhanced magic power, Erza's eyes sparkle with determination. She grips her sword tightly and swings it forward with all her might, clashing with the seven beams of light.
BOOM!!!
The very fabric of magic in the sky seems to shatter.
Jellal's Seven Star Sword is cleaved by Erza's blade, and when the light fades, she stands there, unscathed, her sword still poised to strike.
With Jellal's roar, he crossed his hands above his head, and violent magic power surged forth, wildly weaving in front of him and ultimately transforming into a pitch-black orb of light!
As soon as this orb appeared, it displayed terrifying attraction, engulfing and pulling everything from all directions toward its center, devouring them.
Not only Erza but even Feng Ye was enveloped in this attack. Jellal intended to take out both of them with this single move!
Erza's face twitched as she stabbed her sword into the ground to resist the pull of the black hole, but the ground beneath her feet began to crack little by little.
On the other side, Feng Ye stood unmoving, as if completely unaffected by the pull of the black hole. His demeanor remained unchanged, and his gaze seemed to be watching a clown putting on a show.
Jellal's magic was Heavenly Body Magic, using magic power to mimic the attacks of celestial bodies. Such magic was indeed like a clown's performance in front of Feng Ye.
Seven Star Sword?
Starfall?
Black Hole?
Feng Ye could truly pluck stars from the heavens, create a sun, and his very being possessed black hole-level power! Jellal's magic was like a performance to him.
He didn't take action because there was no need to. Erza, having broken through to the level of the Sacred Ten, now possessed strength that was worlds apart from before.
At this level, as long as Erza's will was firm enough, even against an opponent of the Ishgar Four Gods level, she could still confront them and even defeat them!
For Erza, challenging those of higher levels was already commonplace.
"You are destined to fail," she said, her gaze cold as she looked at Jellal. She drew out her swords, no longer resisting the pull of the black hole but allowing herself to be drawn toward it.
Like a shooting star, she flew directly into the black hole.
Then—
Crack!!!
A shattering sound rang out.
The black hole's terrifying attraction suddenly vanished without a trace, and cracks appeared on its surface, spreading in all directions before it finally exploded!
"This is impossible!" Jellal exclaimed, his magic broken. He stumbled, a look of disbelief on his face. He waved his hands, attempting a final resistance, but before he could act, Erza, who had shattered his Dark Paradise, rushed forward and knocked him to the ground.
Boom!!
Erza showed no mercy, kicking him again and stomping Jellal's head into the ground, knocking him unconscious. Only then did she step back and let out a breath.
That strike to shatter the Dark Paradise had almost exhausted her magic power, and defeating Jellal caused her to feel a sense of weakness. She took two steps back and stumbled, nearly falling.
But she didn't fall to the ground, as Feng Ye reached out and supported her.
"How do you feel?" Feng Ye asked, his hands on her back, helping her lean against him. He smiled gently at her.
A faint golden light flashed, and Erza's sword disappeared. She leaned gently against Feng Ye, a warm smile on her face as she asked, "Have I caught up to you?"
Feng Ye had once slashed a mountain with a single sword stroke, and now Erza had finally reached the level of the Sacred Ten. With her full power, she, too, had the strength to blow away a mountain with a single strike. After so many years of cultivation, she had finally narrowed the gap between herself and Feng Ye.
Hearing Erza's words, Feng Ye chuckled and replied, "You're still far from it."
The power of the Sacred Ten was indeed formidable in this world, but compared to him, there was no comparison. Not only had she not caught up to him, but she was also still far from reaching his level, let alone surpassing him. Even someone like Aquarius would not be able to withstand it.
