Chapter 754: Cave Conversation (Part 2)
Chapter 754: Cave Conversation (Part 2)
After listening to Zhong Feng, Senior Zhu's expression turned serious. "Alright, I will do everything in my power to assist your investigation!"
If it turns out that the low fertility rate of the Dragon Clan is due to the machinations of the Sun People, the Dragon Clan will surely be enraged.
Even if the Dragon Clan is still unwilling to stand with the humans of Blue Star, as long as they don't side with the United Government, the balance of power will shift. This will increase the chances of Blue Star's victory in the final battle by at least 10%!
This is the greatest contribution they can make for humanity from behind enemy lines.
Senior Zhu said earnestly, "It seems I should prioritize this from now on."
Zhong Feng picked up a pen and drew two more circles on the Skrul map on the stone table, marking the locations of Dragon Island and the White-Headed Eagle Clan's habitat.
Seeing Zhong Feng mark the map, Senior Zhu asked, "By the way, Zhong Feng, didn't you say you wanted to establish four rear bases? Where is the fourth one?"
"Right here."
Zhong Feng quickly marked the map, circling Bak Country. Bak Country, being the third-largest nation on Skrul, has a vast territory, so the circle was quite large, larger than the other three combined.
While drawing the circle, Zhong Feng explained, "Under the broader framework of the 'Rear Base Plan,' we call this the 'G2 Encirclement Network.'
The White-Headed Eagle Clan's habitat is in the northern wilderness continent;
Your jurisdiction, the Makaton Kingdom, is at the southernmost point of the map;
To the east is the Dragon Clan's habitat, Dragon Island;
To the west is our staunch ally, Bak Country.
The four rear bases are located in the four directions around G2. If they all act simultaneously, they can significantly divert G2's attention!"
Listening to Zhong Feng's explanation, Senior Zhu looked extremely surprised.
However, he seemed to realize something and said, "So Bak Country is on our side!
This country has always stood firmly against the United Government. I thought Syndi Doppler was just a popular leader, but I didn't expect them to be on our side."
Zhong Feng added, "Not only are they on our side, but Syndi Doppler is also our solid ally!
All of this can be attributed to Su Yu's efforts..."
Zhong Feng then detailed how Su Yu first contacted Syndi Doppler, how they became allies, and what they did after forming the alliance.
Su Yu first connected with Syndi Doppler on his first visit to Skrul, using gold to exchange for many high-end technologies, such as controlled nuclear fusion, anti-gravity, and floating vehicle design and manufacturing.
On his second visit, Su Yu helped Syndi Doppler win the civil war in Bak Country and supplied a large number of spatial rings.
With the spatial ring industry's high monopoly, Bak Country achieved rapid economic recovery.
Senior Zhu was amazed, especially when he learned about Su Yu's second visit to Skrul and the resources he obtained from Bak Country, which left him even more astonished.
During his second visit to Skrul, Su Yu took 200,000 main battle rifles of various models, over 5,000 mechs, 3,700 drones, 5,000 advanced battlefield floating vehicles, and thousands of energy canisters from the rebel forces in Bak Country and the G2 countries' warehouses.
"Good heavens!" Senior Zhu exclaimed. "This is enough to arm several elite divisions!"
Finally, Senior Zhu sighed, "I never expected Su Yu to have accomplished so much on Skrul!"
Zhong Feng also sighed, "The contributions he has made to the humans of Blue Star are unmatched by all of us other players combined!"
"Yes, Su Yu is the backbone of our Blue Star humans."
Zhu Senior Brother stood up from his seat beside the stone table and said earnestly, "It looks like we need to put in some effort too! We need to show Su Yu what we can achieve."
Zhong Feng smiled and stood up as well. "I couldn't agree more."
...
...
While Zhong Feng and Zhu Senior Brother were chatting, on the northernmost part of the Savage Continent of Skrul, a vast and untamed land, Xiao Tian was on the move. She had disguised herself as a green-skinned Skrul and was sprinting through the primeval jungle, hugging the ground as she moved.
Her luck had held strong once again, and she had been teleported to the safest part of the Savage Continent, far from any high-level monster lairs.
However, she still didn't know her exact location. Her plan was to find a relatively intelligent monster, use the Tame Beast skill to control it, and then use the monster to figure out where she was.
But just as she began to move quickly, she suddenly stopped in her tracks. She flashed to the side of a massive tree, one that would take six people to encircle, and crouched down at its roots. Using the Camouflage skill, she completely masked her presence and stayed perfectly still.
She did this because she sensed a powerful aura approaching from a couple of hundred meters away. She wasn't sure whether it was a monster or a Skrul, or what level it might be. So, Xiao Tian decided to hide and wait to see what would happen next.
...
But just as she had hidden, she noticed that the powerful aura in front of her had stopped moving. The entity seemed to have detected her presence and was now standing still, staring in her direction with caution.
Xiao Tian's heart sank. However, she was experienced and remained perfectly still, not giving away any hint of her presence. She silently waited to see how the entity would react.
In such situations, the entity would either bypass her or come to investigate. If it chose to bypass, that would be ideal. If it dared to come investigate, Xiao Tian had already prepared various trap skills from the Archer class, like Freezing Trap, Venomous Snake Trap, and Explosive Trap. If it came closer, she would immediately launch a counterattack.
...
But to her surprise, the entity neither left nor approached. Instead, it remained incredibly patient, standing still and completely suppressing its aura.
Enemy still, I remain still.
Xiao Tian curled her body against the roots of the massive tree, staying perfectly still.
...
This went on for about 20 minutes, with neither side moving. Just as Xiao Tian was starting to feel impatient, the entity finally moved!
The aura of the entity suddenly weakened, becoming very feeble. Xiao Tian recognized it as the aura of a common Little Volt Rat of the Savage Continent. Moreover, the aura of this "Little Volt Rat" was particularly weak, as if it were an old, feeble creature.
At this point, Xiao Tian immediately understood that the entity was likely releasing this aura intentionally, trying to lure her into approaching. If she were a less intelligent monster, she might have been tempted to move forward.
But Xiao Tian wasn't foolish, so she remained still, not believing that the entity could keep waiting indefinitely. She was willing to wait as long as it took.
