Chapter 753: Cave Conversation (Part 2)
Chapter 753: Cave Conversation (Part 2)
When the "Gravity Funnel Plan" was mentioned, both Zhong Feng and Senior Zhu's faces darkened.
The "Gravity Funnel Plan" had resulted in the deaths of millions of Blue Star humans, a wound that would forever fester in the hearts of all Blue Star citizens. Of course, the surrender faction and their traitorous members were exceptions.
When Senior Zhu first received the news, the usually calm and composed man was so enraged that his liver ached, and he couldn't sleep well for an entire night. If it were possible, he would have made the Skrullians experience the same pain.
However, after listening to Zhong Feng, he realized there was something he didn't understand.
So he asked, "The White Eagles? Chancellor Cao wants to contact the White Eagle tribe?"
"Exactly," Zhong Feng nodded. "This is Su Yu's counter-attack plan, called the 'Rear Base Plan.'"
Zhong Feng took out a map of Skrull, about the size of an A3 paper, from his spatial ring and laid it on the stone table.
"Warfare on Blue Star is basically over, so Su Yu plans to establish four rear bases on Skrull to fight the Skrullians."
Zhong Feng used a water pen to circle the Makaton Kingdom on the south side of the Solar Empire. "This is the Makaton Kingdom where you are. We plan to turn it into one of the rear bases.
Since we couldn't contact you, we made this plan without your consent. Please forgive us."
"No problem," Senior Zhu waved his hand calmly. "I support your plan. If G2 discovers it, I'll make Makaton self-destruct and take them down with me!
What I'm more concerned about are the other three bases. Where are they? ... Wait! One of them isn't the Dragon Clan on Dragon Island, is it?"
Senior Zhu's face was full of surprise.
Three days ago, he watched the United Government's press conference online. At the time, the United Government's spokesperson had confidently stated that the Dragon Clan had formed an alliance with the Blue Star humans. He had snorted in disbelief then.
Why would the Dragon Clan form an alliance with humans? Wouldn't they prefer to fight the Skrullians head-on rather than die quickly?
But now, hearing Zhong Feng, he realized it might be true.
How did Su Yu and Zhong Feng manage to contact the Dragon clan?
...
Not only was Senior Zhu's face full of surprise, but Zhong Feng's was also wide-eyed. "Wait, Senior Zhu, how did you know it was the Dragon Clan?"
Zhong Feng was completely unaware of what had happened on Skrull. He didn't know that White Dragon Princess Koko had been exposed.
"It's really the Dragon Clan..." Senior Zhu nodded with a sense of relief, his eyes filled with the sentiment, "The young man has done well."
He slowly continued, "Speaking of the Dragon Clan, we must start from a week ago.
A week ago, Duke Hayton of the Solar Empire, who returned from the Blue Star prisoner camp, stood up against the Skrullians, accusing the Skrullian United Government of false propaganda..."
Zhong Feng decided to tell the entire story of the significant events that had happened on Skrull in the past month.
Since only one major event had been worth mentioning on Skrull in the past month, Senior Zhu told him everything.
...
While drinking tea, Zhong Feng listened to Senior Zhu's story, his face never losing its look of surprise.
Hayton of the Solar Empire, along with Lance and other expeditionary army soldiers, created immense public pressure on the Skrullian United government.
Then came Princess Koko's exposure, revealing the connection between Blue Star humans and the Dragon Clan to the world.
If Koko were just an ordinary dragon, she might already have faced an uncertain fate.
"Ah, it's my fault, I've put Princess Koko in danger.
Zhong Feng sighed, "Is Princess Coco alright?"
The tea in front of Senior Zhu was no longer hot. He picked up the teacup, took a sip to moisten his throat, and replied, "She's fine now, staying with her mother, the White Dragon Queen. As long as they stay on Dragon Island, they should be safe."
"But tell me, how did you manage to connect with the dragons?" Senior Zhu was most curious about Su Yu. How did a human manage to form a relationship with the dragons? He certainly couldn't pass as a dragon on Dragon Island.
"Su Yu did it like this..." Zhong Feng recounted the entire story of Su Yu's two visits to Dragon Island.
As Zhong Feng spoke, Senior Zhu's eyes widened in realization, "So there's actually a Dragon Goodwill Potion. No wonder Su Yu was able to connect with the dragons."
When Zhong Feng finished his story, Senior Zhu nodded, absorbing the information, "So you just made a deal with the White Dragon Queen and didn't persuade the dragons to rebel against the Skrulls?"
Zhong Feng poured himself a cup of tea and drank it in one go, chuckling bitterly, "Exactly. If Su Yu didn't have the Dragon Goodwill Potion, the dragons probably wouldn't even agree to a deal. As for convincing them to rebel against the Skrulls, that's a far-fetched idea. What do we, the humans of Blue Star, have to make them betray the Skrulls?"
"You're right," Senior Zhu agreed.
Then he glanced at the map laid out on the stone table and looked at Zhong Feng, "So, you want to establish a base behind enemy lines on Dragon Island. Do you think the dragons will let us do that?"
Zhong Feng's expression turned serious, "To explain, I need to talk about the main reason I came to Skrull this time."
"Half a month ago, when I returned to Blue Star, Su Yu keenly observed the difference between the dragons in the game and the dragons on Dragon Island—the dragons in the game are incredibly fertile. A mature female dragon can produce dozens of offspring in just a decade, while the dragons on Dragon Island can only have three or four in their entire lives..."
Zhong Feng then detailed the current fertility issues faced by the dragons on Dragon Island.
"Su Yu hypothesized that the Scorch Empire might be using some underhanded method to restrict the dragons' fertility."
"Because if the dragons on Dragon Island were as fertile as those in the game, they would need a much larger territory. The Scorch Empire would have to cede a vast amount of land to them."
"Moreover, if the dragons were weak, they would be forced to rely on the Scorch Empire and be content with being their livestock."
...
After listening to Zhong Feng, Senior Zhu stroked his chin, deep in thought.
After a while, he looked up at Zhong Feng, "Your theory is quite logical."
"If the dragons were as fertile as those in the game, their population would expand by at least five to six times."
"Given the dragons' powerful nature, if their population were to increase five to six times, their number of high-level warriors would also multiply by five to six times. At that point, they would produce several divine dragons!"
"Such a powerful dragon race would definitely not align with the Scorch Empire's interests and could even pose a threat to the Skrulls' rule. So, it makes sense that the Scorch Empire would use underhanded tactics to reduce the dragons' fertility."
Zhong Feng nodded, "This time, my main goal is to investigate whether the Scorch Empire is indeed restricting the dragons' fertility."
"If I can find solid evidence to confirm that the Scorch Empire is the root cause of the dragons' reproductive difficulties, the dragons will definitely rise up in rebellion!"
"Once the dragons stand up against the Skrulls, establishing a base behind enemy lines will be a natural progression."
