Chapter 752: Cave Conversation (Part 1)
Zhong Feng happily took out the small milky-white stone and carefully handed it to Senior Zhu: "Senior, I was directly teleported here, so this stone must have worked. It’s really quite useful!"
With this stone, cultivators and players from Earth won’t have to risk the randomness of teleportation and can directly reach this underground cave.
And since Senior Zhu is one of us, it’s completely safe to teleport here!
"That’s good," Senior Zhu said with a smile as he took the stone. "I collected this 'Gravitational Binding Stone' from the far side of Skrul’s smaller moon. Looks like my trip wasn’t in vain."
Skrul has two large moons of similar size, but due to their different orbits, one appears much larger and the other much smaller.
The Skrulians named them the "Great Moon" and the "Small Moon."
Both moons are tidally locked with Skrul, meaning one side always faces the planet.
Because the Small Moon is farther away and tidally locked, a unique "Spiritual Gravitational Stream" phenomenon has formed on its far side over time. This phenomenon has created large areas of milky-white "Gravitational Binding Stones" on the surface.
Senior Zhu, now a Seventh Stage Fusion Realm cultivator, has the ability to traverse the vacuum of space to reach the moons.
Following the guidance from ancient Skrul texts, he personally traveled to the far side of the Small Moon to collect these "Gravitational Binding Stones." These stones release strong gravitational bindings in space, which brought Zhong Feng to the cave.
...
Senior Zhu looked at the milky-white stone with its myriad of cracks and felt a bit regretful: "It’s a good thing, but it’s a shame it only works once."
"Zhong Feng, I’ll make you a few more over the next few days. Remember to bring them back to Earth when you return."
"Thank you, Senior!" Zhong Feng said gratefully.
"No problem, it’s not hard work," Senior Zhu waved a large hand and smiled. "What hard work could there be when I’m an emperor here? It’s you who have it tough, shuttling between two worlds."
As they spoke, the two of them sat down on opposite sides of a stone table in the cave.
Prime Minister Cao took out two porcelain cups from his spatial bag, poured in some tea, drank one himself, and gently floated the other to Zhong Feng.
Zhong Feng, of course, did not dare to be disrespectful to his elder.
He immediately took a sip of the tea, then prepared to discuss the main matters.
But as soon as he tasted the tea, he felt something was off.
He looked at the "tea leaves" in his cup, which were unlike any tea he had ever tasted, a plant he had never seen before.
"Senior, what is this?" Zhong Feng asked.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you," Senior Zhu rubbed his beard apologetically. "This isn’t tea from Earth, but a local Skrul plant I selected after numerous trials to be the most similar to Earth’s tea."
Senior Zhu chuckled helplessly. "I ran out of the tea I brought from Skrul, so I had to make do."
"Hey, you should have said something earlier," Zhong Feng quickly took out three large jars of a kilogram each of tea from his spatial storage and stood up to respectfully push them toward Senior Zhu: "I have some here. You can use this for now, and I’ll bring you whatever else you need next time!"
Zhong Feng brought the tea mainly because cultivators still need to drink water on Skrul.
Moreover, cultivators consume much more water due to their intense daily training. A Sixth Stage powerhouse like Zhong Feng needs to drink at least 30 kilograms of water a day, which is 20 times more than an average person.
However, the minerals in the Skrull Mountain Spring are different from those on Blue Star, making the water taste very astringent and hard to drink.
So, Zhong Feng brought a large amount of tea leaves to help reduce the astringency of the water.
When Master Zhu saw the two large jars of tea, a childlike smile spread across his face. "Excellent! Excellent! Having tea is great! I've been looking forward to drinking tea from home for so long!"
He disdainfully dumped the "tea" in his porcelain cup and began brewing the tea leaves Zhong Feng had provided.
As he brewed the tea, he cheerfully asked Zhong Feng, "Let's get to the important matters. How has Blue Star been doing recently?"
Zhong Feng smiled and replied, "Master, everything on Blue Star is going well! …"
He then recounted the major events that had occurred on Blue Star over the past month.
There had been no major incidents or wars on Blue Star in the past month. The disaster relief efforts in Neon Country had been successfully resolved with the united efforts of people worldwide.
The most significant action taken by the Unified Government in the past month was the research and replication of Skrull weaponry, as well as the distribution of captured equipment to the entire military.
Currently, all super-special forces of the Unified Government, ranked at the fourth tier or higher, have been equipped with cold fusion flight mechs. These mechs can fly at speeds far exceeding those of ordinary fighter jets, giving them a bit of an Iron Man feel from the Marvel universe.
Regular soldiers have also received a large amount of high-quality Skrull equipment, forming several elite divisions that are currently undergoing intense training. Whether it's weapons, equipment, or individual skills, everything has undergone a transformative change.
In the game, every player is diligently leveling up and earning money to buy equipment, aiming to maximize their chances of survival when the final battle begins.
Zhong Feng also informed Master Zhu about two significant events: "Su Yu earned 70 billion psychic coins in the game in just seven days" and "The magic army Su Yu's clone has been cultivating is starting to take shape."
Near the end of their conversation, Zhong Feng mentioned the recent trip to Skrull.
"Master Zhu, this time, a total of 21 players and ancient cultivators came to Skrull."
"Twenty-one? That's quite a few. Who all came?"
"Twelve of the players who came last time are back this time, along with three new players and six ancient cultivators. Most importantly, Chancellor Cao has come this time!"
Master Zhu's eyes lit up at Zhong Feng's words. "Really?! Chancellor Cao is here too? That's fantastic news!"
Chancellor Cao, equipped with a divine sword, possesses peak godlike abilities. When he exerts his full strength, he can cause chaos among the Skrull, making their rear lines a living hell. His impact would be thousands of times greater than that of an ordinary sixth-tier player.
"However, the downside is…" Zhong Feng said with a wry smile. "Chancellor Cao's presence this time comes with significant restrictions. Apart from protecting us, he can only visit the White Eagle Clan's territory to meet with the White Eagles…"
Zhong Feng then recounted the events that had just transpired to Master Zhu.
Although he hadn't heard the details of Su Yu's negotiations, he was able to infer the general content from the final agreement he saw.
After listening to Zhong Feng, Master Zhu sighed. "Ah! What a pity. If Chancellor Cao had no restrictions, the Skrull would experience a Blue Star version of the 'Gravitational Sinkhole Plan'!"
