Chapter 746: Collecting the Three Deathly Hallows, Summoning Death (First Update)
Chapter 746: Collecting the Three Deathly Hallows, Summoning Death (First Update)
Diagon Alley, Leaky Cauldron.
Jerry opened the window and looked down at the various witches and the bustling shops below, letting out a light sigh.
It had been a long time since he last left this world, and he had gone through many experiences. To be honest, he missed Hermione and some of the classmates and friends from this world.
The reason he didn't take Hermione with him on his adventures was to prevent her from experiencing the same time dislocation he did. Hermione was young and had her own dreams; she didn't need to change too much because of him.
For Hermione, he had never really left.
Moreover, if he had been too preoccupied with his feelings back then, he probably wouldn't have the strength he has now.
"How can I find the creator of this world?"
Sitting on the stool by the window, Jerry began to think.
In the Fairy Tail world, Ankseram had come to him, or it would have been very difficult to find the other party.
This was not his Ring World. If it were, finding someone would be very simple, just like how Ankseram found him, because the world is controlled by its creator.
However, finding the creator of this world was like trying to locate someone in his Ring World, which was very difficult unless one could directly break through his Ring World.
Similarly, if Jerry were to break through the Harry Potter world and reach the dark land beyond, he would likely find a way to locate the creator, but that would be extremely impolite.
He still didn't know the creator's strength, and making such a rash move could be inappropriate.
Although he believed that if the creator's power was at the multiverse level, the creator would also be wary of the owner of the Panel, like Ankseram.
But if he truly offended the creator, even if the creator wouldn't dare to attack him, they would likely be unwilling to share insights about world creation.
"Right, I almost forgot about this!"
At that moment, Jerry seemed to have a sudden realization. He flipped his hand and pulled out the Resurrection Stone from his Ring World, which he had obtained a long time ago.
The Resurrection Stone, one of the Deathly Hallows, was once embedded in the Gaunt family's ancestral ring. Jerry had taken it, but at the time, he felt the Resurrection Stone was a mere trinket, and the three Deathly Hallows were of no use, so he had never paid much attention to them.
However, now he believed that through these three Deathly Hallows, he might find some clues about the creator of this world.
Based on his experiences across many worlds, the creator of a world is often one of the ancient gods, and more likely, the God of Death.
In the Fairy Tail world, Ankseram was the God of Life and Death.
The legend of the God of Death in the Harry Potter world naturally revolves around the Deathly Hallows from "The Tales of Beedle the Bard."
According to the story of the three brothers in "The Tales of Beedle the Bard", Death crafted the three Deathly Hallows—the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone, and the Invisibility Cloak—and gave them to the three brothers.
If one could collect all three Deathly Hallows, they would become the master of Death and rule the entire world.
Of course, the idea that collecting the three Deathly Hallows would make one the master of Death and rule the world is a myth. No adult witch would believe such nonsense. Even Voldemort sought the Elder Wand only to enhance his own power.
However, Jerry believed that since this legend had persisted for so long, it must have some basis. At the very least, the three Deathly Hallows must be related to Death.
Perhaps by obtaining the three Deathly Hallows, he could use some of the connections they provide to find Death.
Even if Death is not the creator of this world, at least Death should know who the creator is or where to find them.
In front of the dark door of 12 Grimmauld Place, Jerry's figure suddenly appeared, and he raised his hand to press the doorbell.
A moment later, Harry, wearing glasses and a set of pajamas, opened the door groggily.
"Jerry?"
Seeing that the person at the door was actually Jerry, Harry rubbed his eyes, a look of confusion on his face.
After all, they had just parted ways at King's Cross Station yesterday, and Jerry hadn't mentioned coming over today.
"Good morning, Harry!"
Jerry waved at Harry.
"I need to talk to you about something."
"Come in first. Kreacher just made grilled sausages and mushroom soup. If you haven't eaten yet, I can share some with you."
Harry shrugged and led Jerry through the portrait of Mrs. Walburga Black, who was cursing loudly after being woken up by the doorbell, into the main hall on the first floor.
On the table in the hall, freshly grilled sausages and fried eggs were laid out, along with a steaming bowl of mushroom soup.
"Looks like you're doing well."
Jerry smiled as he sat on the sofa.
After all, during the years Harry spent with his aunt and uncle, he not only suffered but also had to get up early every morning to cook breakfast and do chores. Now, he could sleep in and wake up to a warm breakfast made by a house-elf.
Harry's face lit up with a happy expression.
"I have to thank you, Jerry. If it weren't for you discovering that Scabbers was Peter Pettigrew, my godfather couldn't have cleared his name, and I wouldn't have been able to leave my aunt's house and live here."
"It's mainly because Mr. Black was innocent. I just helped a little. Is Mr. Black not home today?"
Jerry's keen senses told him that in the five-story mansion of the Gaunt family, only Harry and the house-elf Kreacher were present.
Harry put a sausage in his mouth and chewed as he replied:
"My godfather went to the Ministry of Magic for work. By the way, what brings you here today?"
After being friends for a few years, Harry knew Jerry's character well. If Jerry suddenly came to visit, there must be something specific.
Jerry didn't beat around the bush:
"I need to borrow your Invisibility Cloak."
"Invisibility Cloak? You need that thing?"
Harry was taken aback. How strong was Jerry's magic? After the Triwizard Tournament, many newspapers hailed him as the world's top magical genius, second only to the legendary witch Dumbledore.
A simple invisibility spell would be a piece of cake for Jerry. Why would he need to borrow Harry's Invisibility Cloak?
"I have other uses for it. Just consider it for research purposes."
Jerry didn't reveal the truth. After all, if Harry knew Jerry was using the Invisibility Cloak to find Death, he would be terrified.
"As a trade, you can make a wish, and I'll help you fulfill it."
"If I could wish for anything, I would wish for my parents to be resurrected. Of course, that's impossible, so I don't need anything. You can take it. Just remember to lend me your summer homework when school starts."
Harry got up, went to his room, and retrieved his Invisibility Cloak, then handed it to Jerry.
